***Ace’s Pov***

After staying with Cassie, I went into my room to get ready for the party, some of the guests were already seated in the sitting room and my mum and dad had gone to the room to prepare too. I was aware of the party for my celebration of graduating from the university, but I later found out that they also threw a party too for my birthday since it was also my birthday. I was so happy that everything will be good and soon I will be taking over my dad’s comps as the new CEO, but most importantly, I was happy that Cassie and I were together as couple, and I planned to make the relationship known to my parents, siblings and everyone as soon as I became the CEO.

A broad smile widened my lips as I thought about his Cassie andy I will soon be the new couple, it will really be good to be with Cassie all my life, she has been a very good girl to me and even made me believe in love. I never that I could still fall genuinely in love with anyone ever again as what I was interested in was just to get them laid and move on with my life, but it’s obvious that everything has changed and I have totally ignored the bet I had with my friends on Cassie. I don’t know how my friends would think if they find out that I have fallen in love with Cassie, but I’m more worried about how Cassie would feel when she eventually finds out that it has been a bet.

My thoughts were distracted by the knocking on my door. I knew that a lot of people were around and some would want to come to my room, but I never expected anyone to be able to locate my room since it wasn’t that easy to know which of the rooms belonged to me.

Before I could ask who was at the door, a pretty young lady in her early twenties walked into my room seductively, the moment she got into my room, her rich feminine perfume filled my room and also filled my nostrils, from the scent of her perfume I could tell that it must have cost a future. She’s light skinned, she wore a black strapless dress that exposed her well toned skin. Permit me to say that she looked so fresh and beautiful. Her smile was everything, exposing her beautiful dentition. I could help but agree that there were angels on earth, because this beauty in my room looked more like an angel or a mermaid.

A thought struck my mind, who could she be and what was she doing in my room? As though she read my thoughts, she stretched her beautiful manicured hand forward and smiled at me.

“Hi Ace. I’m Serena, your mum has told me so much about you?” She said calmly.

I could help but get confused, then I suddenly remembered my mum telling me about her a few days ago. Serena was the lady she and dad wanted me to get married to, the daughter of their business partner. I didn’t give my mum a response because I never thought that Serena was already in town and will be coming to this party. I was hoping to introduce Cassie so that they could forget about Serena.

“Hi, I’m Ace,” I replied, not wanting to look stupid..

Just then my mum came into the room and saw Serena and I hold each other’s hand.

“Oh, I see that you have met my son. I’m glad that you both like each other. You have met on a few occasions while you were both very young before Serena and her mum traveled abroad,” my mum said with a big smile, she was obviously happy.

“Yes, I remember, we are both grown now, and Ace has grown into such a cute young man,” Serena added, smiling.

Serena and I talked for a few minutes before she left to go down stairs for the party. To be honest to myself, I must confess that Serena is such a beautiful young woman, even though she’s not more beautiful than Cassie, but she’s rich, well educated and has traveled to different countries of the world and I could clearly understand why my mum chose her for me. She’s very much excited about modern lifestyles. I still love Cassie and would want to marry her, but I know that now my mum wants me to be with Serena it would be a very tough decision for me to make coupled with the fact that initially, I only wanted to get Cassie laid, but now I have fallen in love with her.

I shoved the thoughts off my mind since I wouldn’t want to be late for the party as the guests were already waiting for me, I kept wondering where Cassie might have gone to, I needed her to be there since I have finally made up my mind to tell my parents about our relationship since I can’t his it forever, I wouldn’t know what the outcome will be now that Serena is here.

I got dressed, I wore a dark blue suit, I had ordered it from the best designer in the country, I loved the fitting it gave to my body as I looked at myself in the dressing mirror, I had my hair combed, spread some perfume on my body and went out. As soon as I got to the sitting, it was already filled with people, they were richly dressed, most of them were my daddy business associates while some were my mum’s friends and business associates too. My friends were also there.

I moved around exchanging pleasantries with the guests with smiles on my face, I was so happy, because things were about to change, I would be become the ceo soon and would be in control of the multi billion dollars business of my dad,. I looked around but I couldn’t find Cassie, I wondered where she could have been since she was supposed to get at the party by now. I could recognize the faces of some of the guests, while I couldn’t remember the rest. I went closer to Serena and her parents were seated and greeted them.

“Oh my, Ace you are such a cute young man and I’m so sure that you and Serena will make a good couple,” Serena’s mum said happily while everyone laughed. It was clear to me that her parents were aware of the arrangements and had given their support too.

My friends were all happy for me..

“Hey guys, what about Cassie? I know you love to screw her but you now have Serena,” one of my friends teased, while the others laughed.

“Hello everyone, thank you for coming to this event. I’m so glad that you all honored this invitation. Without taking much of your time, I’m here to inform you all that my son has completed his university education and will be taking over the company from me as the new CEO,” there was a loud cheer and applause from the crowd.

I walked forward and took the microphone from my dad, I waited for the guests to finish cheering and when I finally gained their attention, I addressed them with a small speech, thanking my dad for giving me the opportunity.

There was another cheer from the crowd, some of my friends came forward to have a handshake with me, I was filled with smiles.

“There’s a bigger announcement everyone,” my dad said again as he took the microphone.

Everyone was filled with anticipation as they waited for him to give the announcement. I was wondering what the bigger announcement could be about. until I saw the smiles on Serena’s face and I could guess what it was about.

“I want to inform you all that my son Ace will be getting married to Serena, the beautiful daughter of my business associate,” my dad announced cheerfully..

Everyone clapped. Serena and I went to stand with him in front of the crowd, the people were still clapping, hut then I looked up to see Cassie standing at the far end of the sitting room, I didn’t know how long you had been standing there, but I’m sure that she must have heard the announcement from my dad because the look on her face wasn’t pleasant. Tears flowed from her eyes, she was standing at the back dressed in a beautiful evening dress. She looked cute but I guess the announcement must have ruined everything. I never meant to hurt Cassie, I never meant to marry Serena but there’s nothing I can do about it since it’s my parents choice. I hope that Cassie will understand, she taught me to love and now I’m about to give the love to someone else.

Our eyes met and she quickly ran off even before I could reach her.
