Chapter 39: Pinch
Chapter 39: Pinch
Chapter 39: (Aubrey's POV)- Pinch
We hung around the rest of the day, watched a movie, read for a little bit, cooked dinner and now we
were done eating it. "Would you like chocolate strawberries for dessert?" he smirked while pulling them
out and offering them to me.
I took one which I ate and we ate a few simultaneously before putting however many remained in the
fridge. I walked over to the sink, making sure to grab his plate too and washed the dishes before
washing my hands and drying them off.
"You need a little help with that?" I felt him walk up behind me, my back pressed to his chest as his
finger traced the top of my dress.
"Sure," I turned to face him with a smile before walking up the stairs and to the guest room I was
staying in. Thank god, I got the guest room, staying in a room with him would have been... tough. He
followed me closely until we reached my room.
I grabbed my pajamas and placed them in the bathroom before standing in front of the mirror, my back
facing him. He brushed my hair to the side, intentionally grazing his fingers against my back, again.
And took his sweet time dragging that zipper down slowly. What a fucking tease. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
He kept pushing it down, with his eyes locking with mine through the mirror instead of the fucking
zipper, I was scared he'd pinch my skin but what happened was the better choice. He pinched his skin.
That snapped him out of it before he pulled away, pulling his finger to his lips swiftly.
"Pay attention, Parker." I snickered. He smirked before pinching my waist. "Ow!" I winced. He smirked
before unzipping the dress completely.
I rolled my eyes before going into the bathroom and changing into my pajamas, throwing my hair up in
a bun. I wore my shorts and cami before stepping out to see him lying in my bed shirtless.
Holy sh-
"Enjoying the view?" he smirked while he put his phone down on the nightstand. I cleared my throat.
"I was until you interrupted. What are you doing here?" I asked as I folded my arms across my chest.
"I don't have anything better to do than forcing you to be in my company." he smiled cheekily.
"What a sad life you must have then?" I sighed while grabbing my phone and lying down next to him.
"No, in fact being in your company is amazing itself." he smiled at me genuinely.
"Flattery won't get you anywhere, what do you want?" I narrowed my eyes down at him. He chuckled
before replying,
"I've been wanting that kiss for a while, but you just won't..." he trailed off while huffing. "And flattery
gets you places nothing else ever could," he stated. I snorted,
"Who the hell told you that? It makes no sense whatsoever." I chuckled while scrolling through social
media.
"How rude of you to choose social media over me." he placed his hand on his chest before grabbing
my phone and placing it on the nightstand on his side of the bed.
I sighed while rolling my eyes, "I take it I'm not getting that back. What do you want?" I asked slightly
exasperated. He gave me a pointed look. "Except for that, what do you want?" I repeated myself.
"Your company." he shrugged innocently. Maybe he was being genuine right then.
"How often does it get lonely in here by yourself?" I questioned after a moment of silence.
"This summer has actually changed a lot," he smirked at me, "But earlier, very often." he sighed while
staring up at the ceiling.
"With mom working and only having one best friend who I'm very grateful for even though I don't show,
it got pretty lonely. It's not like girls even actually cared when they were here. It was all for popularity or
well, you know." he continued staring up while I stared at him.
"Did you ever try to ask any girl out, though? Make the first move?" I questioned.
"I never liked any girl enough to do it seriously. I would've asked you but you beat me to it." he turned to
me with a grin.
"That wasn't a date. You needed to get out and I was your way," I shrugged.
"Aubrey, why won't you let me kiss you?" he asked out of the blue. I took a moment to think of an
answer.
"Because we're not together right now. I want it seriously, with no games." I shook my head slightly.
"You suggested the game though." he looked at me with confusion in his eyes.
"No, I didn't. I suggested you prove you're better than him. Not a game. That's on you." I told him
truthfully. "You're the one that suggested the game of who falls first, I just played it." I shrugged.
"What can I say? Hate the player, not the game, am I right?" he scoffed, slightly triggered at my words.
"Hate the player all you want, doesn't mean they won't win. I'll win, you know it." I arched an eyebrow at
him.
"You do realize that we both win in this game, no matter who confesses first, right?" he chuckled. "You
can say it first and I get to hear it, or the other way around." he shrugged. I took a moment, debating if I
should even voice my current thoughts, but he should know all the possibilities.
"What if only one person falls?" I asked hesitantly, avoid eye contact at all costs.
"That's not going to happen. I know that for a fact." he had a certain look on his face, almost cocky,
borderline over-confident.
"And how do you know that for a fact?" I asked, turning to him in confusion.
"Because we're both already falling, it's just a matter of who says it first." he shrugged.
"So it's a matter of who cracks first? I'm cool with that." I shrugged before standing up. As I stood up,
the doorbell rang. I sighed secretly praying it wasn't Julie and went to answer the door.
Standing there, I saw Violet with a pillow and a blanket wrapped around herself while Ace stood beside
her looking the same. "What are you guys doing here?" I asked while opening the door wider and
letting them in.
"Sleepover!" Ace slurred. I rolled my eyes before turning to Vi.
"Is he drunk? Again?" she just laughed and nodded at me while crashing on the couch and grabbing
the remote, beginning to look through and find movies to watch. "Are you?" I narrowed my eyes down
at her.
"I had one drink, Aubs, I'm not drunk." she deadpanned.
"Right," I slowly nodded, "I'm gonna go and get Xavier," I announced while walking up the stairs and
going into the guest room I was staying in. I opened the door to see him leaning with his head against
the headboard. "We have guests." I gestured down with my eyes.
His eyebrows knitted in confusion as he got out of bed. "Violet with a very drunk Ace." I patted his
shoulder before heading downstairs with him following me. Before I could step down the stairs, he
grabbed my arm and pulled me back in the corridor, pinning me against the wall before the guest room.
"Let's leave them be. They'll have fun and so can we. Oh, look, that rhymed." he grinned down at me. I
smiled at him sarcastically before pausing to hear what I was waiting for.
"Where the hell is my buddy? Xavier where are -oh shit!" Ace yelled before we heard the sound of
glass shattering.
"I'm sure they're having a lot of fun. Still wanna go back inside?" I arched an eyebrow at him. He
groaned under his breath before taking a step back, putting his hands up in surrender. "That's what I
thought." I nodded before going downstairs and looking at Ace, waiting for him to tell what he broke
and where.
"Kitchen." he went and sat on the couch with a guilty look on his face.
"It's okay, I'll clean it up." I went into the kitchen and crouched down, picking up all the big pieces of
glass.
"You really showed up drunk after getting drunk last night?" Xavier spoke while coming downstairs. My
gaze automatically snapped in his direction, causing me to cut myself with the glass while hissing in
pain.
"Damn it." I stood up and threw the glass in the trash before Xavier rushed over to me.
"You couldn't have paid more attention? You were dealing with glass, Aubrey." he scolded me before
assessing my hand.
How sweet, am I right ladies?
