The Alpha’s Surrogate Mate

Chapter 11: Heat with a cousin

Bonnie looked away immediately, she felt her heart squeeze in her chest. And she wondered why she was feeling that way.

The first time she had those feelings was with Xavier. Though, she was yet to discover what the feeling was all about.

“Why are you standing there?” Rowan laughed and walked to a seat.

Bonnie moved closer, blaming herself already. Maybe she should have gone to see Xavier.

She wondered groggily how Xavier was feeling at the moment.

For an Alpha that doesn’t like being questioned or defied, he must feel like a wrench at the moment.

“Will you like to drink?’ Rowan asked while staring at the red wine he had placed on the table.

Bonnie nodded quickly, she felt all bundled up. Perhaps what she needed at that moment was to get drunk.

Rowan laughed, “strange,” he complimented and went to retrieve two glasses of wine. He sat and looked up at Bonnie, “Now you are even thinking differently.”

Bonnie raised a brow, skeptical, “What do you mean?”

“Well,” he poured the wine, “Gwen doesn’t like taking alcohol. So, it’s surprising you are asking for it.”

Bonnie’s heart made a sudden thud in her chest. Elixir was right. She shouldn’t have gone to see Rowan. What if he found out?

“It’s ok,” Rowan said quickly, not even giving her the space to say anything, “it was just some thoughts but I remember you lost your memories. Most times, we end up doing things that we shouldn’t after losing our memories.”

Bonnie managed a smile since she couldn’t do anything, ” Actually, I thought you might be asleep.”

Rowan stretched out the cup which she collected and nodded gratefully towards him, “And you came anyway?”

Bonnie sipped the wine, “I was bored and I thought you might be bored too. Also, I wanted to recover on things I had lost.”

Rowan watched her for a moment, ” You just spoke like Gwen. It’s just a pity you don’t remember most things that had happened between us. But,” he gulped down the entire content of the wine and poured himself more, “What do you want to know?”

“Tell me about yourself.”

Rowan smiled, “Seriously? Come on, drink more!’ he said and pour Bonnie more wine, “While I start the story,” he sat up and flexed his muscles.

Bonnie stared, amazed for a while. And for that tiny moment, she used the opportunity to give him deep scrutiny. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

He looked similar to Xavier in the way their muscles seemed to contract or the fact that they are both handsome.

They are both light in complexion with strikingly red eyes. Of course, they were both Alphas and they command authorities.

But aside from that, it seemed like they both weigh the same in Bonnie’s heart.

It seemed like she doesn’t want to lose either.

There was something about them both that seemed to ignite a fire in her.

Since she had eventually come of age and it seemed so difficult for her to find a mate, it seemed like her hormones were running wild.

Well, she would never be allowed to enter heat since she’s neither married nor does she have a mate.

Nevertheless, it felt great for her to feel that way towards the two Alpha.

Bonnie smiled and gulped down more content of the wine. The hotness in it made her squeeze her face and stared wild at Rowan.

“How the fuck did you swallow that at once?”

Rowan stopped for a moment and laughed, “I’m an Alpha, have you forgotten and you are_” he stopped another moment.

And Bonnie smiled, ” O_”

” Gamma!” He interrupted quickly and Bonnie could feel the blood rise in her. She had almost made another mistake.

She had forgotten Gwen was a Gamma and she was an Omega.

Rowan raised a brow at her, “What were you about to say? It sounds like you wanted to pronounce Omega.”

Bonnie laughed and gulped down the remaining content of the wine. She stretched it out and watched Rowan refill it.

“I wanted to ask if you believe there are Omega. And have you ever seen one?”

Rowan looked away and thought for a while, ” I think there are, even though I haven’t seen one,” he looked back at her, ” They are merely Omega.

Omega are creatures that have no strength in them.”

” Can you marry an Omega?”

Rowan smiled, ” Why not? If she’s really my mate then I would.”

Bonnie smiled. She wondered what Xavier’s opinion would be. And she desperately wanted to know it.

Instinctively, she picked the bottle and refilled the glass with it.

“So, tell me about your wife,” she asked and sipped the wine.

” Well, she’s pretty,” he said dreamily, ” You know it took me so long to find her,” he laughed, ” I found her on one of the trips I told you of. She was a reporter and well, a werewolf. It made the work easier for me. It’s not really easy mating humans these days.”

Bonnie laughed briefly and felt her vision double.

” Well, it only took us two months for us to plan our wedding. I already told Xavier to let you come over some days before. Will you come five days before?”

Bonnie squeezed her face and nodded, ” I will love too,” she took the bottle but this time she didn’t pour it in the cup. She gulped it down directly from the bottle.

Rowan stared, amazed and surprised.

When Bonnie dropped the bottle, her eyes went swiftly to green and back to being black.

Rowan stared harder, wiping his face with his hand to clear his vision perhaps he had only imagined it.

If it was true, then Gwen was an Omega.

When he stared again, there was no trace of the colour. And he assumed it could be his thought and discarded it.

“So, was she as pretty as I am or more?” She laughed mischievously.

Rowan inclined his head aside and chuckled lightly, ” Well, she’s as pretty as you,” he stopped suddenly and stared at her, her smell rose to his nose in a way he couldn’t ignore.

The sweet aroma, pleading for him to have a taste.

“Fuck!” He swore and stood quickly. Gwen had just entered her heat.

He moved closer and tried to help her up.

Bonnie looked at him, while still trying to fight for him to let go, “What are you doing?”

“You are on your heat! You need to go back to Xavier!” He said hurriedly and made to turn her over.

Bonnie laughed, unbelievably, “How can I? I don’t even have a mate!”

Rowan stood, shocked. Did he just hear correctly?

Bonnie finally looked up at him, the hair-splitting for him to look at her face. His eyes went to her lips and he couldn’t stop the pumping he felt in his heart.

Bonnie smiled and Rowan could feel the smell grow stronger around him.

Fuck! He would need to get her out immediately. Though, he wondered why he felt so attracted to her.

That wasn’t supposed to happen. Gwen was supposed to be his cousin.

“Come down, I need to tell you something,” she said instead.

Rowan sighed, frustrated but he bent nevertheless.

Bonnie moved closer quickly until her lips met his, then she went still.

Rowan felt every part of feelings rise in him. The wolf in him was responding differently.
