Chapter 175
Chapter 175
“Why?” Aurora asked, not willing to succumb to his wish this time. Alpha Calhoun walked ahead as she explained it to her.
Rene thought the pack members did not know, but Asena had spread the information before leaving for school.
“Her parents are enemies of Alpha Nick and Luna Sheridan. We don’t want to offend them, and I don’t want them to know that we are harboring their enemies‘ daughter here.”
Aurora knew that her parents would not hate Rene for what her parents did. They would only hate her if she followed their path.
“From what I heard about Alpha Nick and Luna Sheridan, I don’t think they would be so petty to hate a girl because she is the daughter of their enemy. If her parents sinned, why should she carry their punishment?”
Alpha Calhoun was angered to have wasted so much time with Zion, allowing Rene to poison Aurora’s mind.
Even Zion was proving stubborn. If Alpha Calhoun had not threatened to banish him, he would not have given up.
“What has she been telling you? It’s as if she cast a spell on you. I have to banish her from the pack,” Alpha Calhoun said seriously, Aurora paled from shock.
She paused and raged, forcing him to equally stop and listen to her. “How can you be so heartless? Yes, she told me everything her parents did and so what? Did she ever offend you?” Aurora was willing to sacrifice everything to protect a weakling. Rene might not have anyone before, but she had Aurora now.
Alpha Calhoun could still not approve their friendship. “Whatever. Just stay away from her.” “I won’t, and if you banish her, I will leave with her,” Aurora declared, Alpha Calhoun could feel a pending headache.
This was his reason for being hesitant to introduce her to the pack. Her personality would attract her to most of the pack members, and he was not ready to accept or welcome that.
“Her mother was just as cunning and innocent as she was but became terrible with an evil wolf. Don’t be deceived by how fragile she looks. She is dangerous,” he spoke in a warning tone, Aurora found it rather ridiculous as compared to his fiancée who was the daughter of a sorcerer, but how could she mention it?
All fingers would point at Rene for telling her. “Please don’t stop me from choosing my friends, and I see why you don’t give her attention. Why don’t you let me train her?” Alpha Calhoun scoffed. As a duty, he owed it to every pack member to train them enough to defend themselves even if they could not defend the pack.
Truthfully, he never gave Rene any special preferences, but did she deserve it?
“Even an Omega is better than her. She is the weakest she–wolf ever birthed.” Hating his judgmental ways toward the poor girl, Aurora did not make it easy for him.
“Is she really weak, or did you never give her as much attention as you give the other she–wolves? Is it because she isn’t as hot as them or wear sexy pants like the others?”
Alpha Calhoun was rendered speechless by her words. “You win. Train her.”
“Thank you,” Aurora agreed with a relieved sigh as they walked back without any more arguments.
“I will take care of a few things, and we can go shopping later,” Alpha Calhoun said, as Aurora went to prepare his bath before making his breakfast.
Alpha Calhoun was met by an investigator when he returned to the office and received the report detailing the investigation of Aurora.
With her having access to his room, he took it to the room she vowed to never enter and locked the door after discharging the investigator. Eagerly, he tore the envelope open, hoping to get something tangible about her, but no.
‘Aurora White is eighteen years old, grew up in Texas, loves knowledge, and explored a lot of things until her parents were murdered. She disappeared and has still not been found. Most people believe she must have been killed by her parents‘ assailants, but her body had not been found either.
The report was simple, and there were few pictures of her attached, and yet, Alpha Calhoun could not believe it.
“How can you have so many skills just from training with martial arts videos?” He thought aloud. It was such a shame that her parents were murdered, and he could not find them for questioning, but what about distant relatives?
He called the investigator on the phone. “What about her distant relatives?” “Alpha, it’s strange, but we couldn’t get anything on them.” Strange indeed.

Chapter 175
A lot had changed in his life ever since she appeared in his life. It was as if he lacked control of himself.
Moreover, he no longer spent a lot of time in‘ the bathroom like before. There was always the eagerness to see Aurora.
He mind–linked the housekeeper. ‘Clear the toy room and arrange it as a normal bedroom for guests.‘
‘What should be done to the items in there?‘ Linda asked back through the same channel.
Alpha Calhoun paused, not understanding why he was doing all these but spoke with certainty. ‘Burn them.‘
Linda was shocked but guessed it was because of Aurora. Perhaps it was time to inform Asena’s mother.
“Let’s go,” Alpha Calhoun said when he finished his breakfast. Then he paused. “Have you been eating? I haven’t seen you eat before.”
Aurora chuckled. “I would have died if I didn’t think, but thank you for asking. It’s not that simple. From now onwards, we shall have our meals together, so remember to prepare double portions.”
The rumors were not interesting to Aurora, and Alpha Calhoun was being possessive of her without making any attempt to break off his engagement.
“No. I will eat in my room.” “What I say is final. Now let’s go,” he said sternly, his gaze boring into hers. Aurora did not know what to expect, but this
wasn’t it.
She was beginning to like him again, and that was scary. What if his fiancée returned, and she was tossed in the corner?
The drive to the community shopping mall was in silence, and Alpha Calhoun only spoke after parking the car. “You will wear only the clothes I choose for you.”
Pursing her lips, she shrugged. “You are paying, plus, it’s your pack.”
He shook his head, but when they entered the community mall, what he did stunned everyone.
