The Alpha’s Dynasty

Your turn

Zane.

“I’m not sure if I want to kill her,” I told Uriel, a vampire friend of mine. I had been confiding in him to find out what the vampires knew about the woman in my custody. Having kidnapped Maya and placed her in my pack house, I had only three or four hours before the fierce tribrid woke and broke down the cage. From what I had heard while doing research on her, she had broken out of so many places and destroyed those who imprisoned her.

“I would kill her,” I said. “But I know nothing about the woman. I don’t know her enemies and friends. I’m not scared of the enemies but the friends. She may have friends in high places and they will want revenge. I’m not sure I want to risk the lives of my pack.”

“Well, leaving her alive would also be risking the lives of your pack unless you’re ready to abide by her rules.”

“I can’t reject my mate. I would live a very sad life if I did. I don’t think Chelsea can give me the happiness Maya can.”

“Well, you’re stuck, bro. I wish I could be of help. The only thing I can think of is killing her. –says he has the dagger that can kill her. There are only three in the world and you’re lucky there’s one in Misenium. You have two hours to decide. And if she wakes up before the estimated four hours, things might go real bad for you so you better decide quickly.”

After he left, I paced around the bedroom, unable to make a decision. What the hell was I going to do about that woman?

Suddenly, I heard a crash from downstairs. With a burst of supernatural speed. i went out of the room and leapt from the landing to the ground floor. I turned and saw a man with extremely pale skin walking towards me, his yellow eyes glaring at me with sharp intensity.

“Who are you?” I asked the vampire who was wearing a long, black cloak. I immediately transformed to my werewolf form and growled, baring my teeth.

“Where is she?” the vampire asked with a cold voice. I couldn’t tell whether he was Chelsea’s friend or foe.

Snarling, I lunged at the tall man but he was quicker than I anticipated. He dodged my attack and then punched my face. I stumbled back, feeling angry. I charged upon him again and we entered a fierce and brutal fight, trading blows. I even tried to use my powers to fight against him but he was so much stronger. He sank his fangs in my neck and started draining me of blood which quickly weakened me. I fought against him but two other pale creatures entered the room. They held me down while the vampire sniffed the air, before opening the basement door and going down.

“What’s going on?” I asked the two strong vampires.

One of them reached into his pocket and pulled out ducttape. He unrolled a strip and wrapped it around my mouth despite my struggle. I stopped fighting against them when I realised it was pointless. They handcuffed me with metal handcuffs. I smiled inwardly because I knew how to break them, I had mastered the technique a long time ago. Wanting to know what they were up to, I decided to watch.

After tying me, they took me to the basement where their master was waiting. He was seated on a chair and had his eyes closed as if he was meditating upon something. I was chained to the wall. It was crazy that the chain hooks I had made for prisoners ended up imprisoning me. After chaining me, the two men left the basement.

For three hours, their master never moved. He neither spoke nor opened his eyes. I was getting impatient having to wait. I wondered if he had brought me there so that Chelsea could torture me when she finally woke up.

Suddenly, Chelsea started stirring. The man immediately opened his eyes. He stood up, straightened his cloak and went to the cage. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a vial of red liquid. He poured the liquid on his hand and started smearing it on the metal bars of the cage. Chelsea’s eyes shot open. They widened when she saw the person looking at her and she quickly stood up. She started coughing.

“Zane, what’s going on?” she asked when she saw me. “What is this monster doing here?”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Am I really the monster?” the vampire asked. “You took everything from me and ruined my life. I have waited years to take my revenge.”

“I’m sorry for what I did, Killian. I was fooled by Yves and I really regret leaving you there. It’s great that you’re still alive. I thought they burnt you alive.”

“That’s what you wanted. Not so?”

“No, i-

“Let’s just say you’re not the only one with friends in high places. I was able to survive the trap you laid out for me after I was so good to you. Everyone said you were not worth it but I didn’t believe them.”

The man reached into the cage and grabbed Chelsea’s neck.

“Zane, do something.” she said. She grabbed the cage but it burned her fingers so much that there was smoke.

I wanted to risk my life and break the chains but I remembered my father’s lifeless body and the threats she had issued to me.

“Zane, do you know that this woman killed my entire family and framed me? I lost everyone I loved and she still wanted me to get killed in a painful way.”

“I’m sorry,” Chelsea said. She didn’t even deny it. The woman was a monster. She tried to break the cage again but it burnt her.

“Don’t waste your time,” the vampire said.

“I don’t even want to see your face,” the vampire said and started squeezing Chelsea’s neck. Her eyes bulged as she struggled and cried out in deep pain. The man reached into his pocket and pulled out a dagger. It looked like the one Uriel had told me about, one of the three that could kill tribrids. The man sunk it deep in her chest and moved it as she cried out in a pain. Within minutes, she was dead. The man let her body fall before muttering some words to himself.

Then he turned, and faced him.

“Now, it’s your turn.”

My turn? What had I done to this man?
