CHAPTER 49: CAFETERIA FIGHT
Bella’s POV
“Oops ! Did not see you there !”
“The coffee must be burning hot. God save your skin !”
“We should take you to the nurse immediately !!”
“Poor Dominic got such a clumsy and ugly girlfriend”
“Hehehehehe”
** NOTE TO THE READERS- CASSY MONROE IS THE DAUGHTER OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE UNI **
My white blouse was alarmingly messed up with huge blotched splashes of scalding hot, brown liquid as one side of the cloth covering my chest, had started to turn transparent- embarrassingly showing a bo*b.
Dominic’s crazy, delusional “girlfriend”, the great Cassy Monroe (note the sarcasm please) and her crazy band of drama seeking nitwits laughed and laughed like there was no tomorrow as they relentlessly made fun of me in the middle of the cafeteria.
They had surpassed all levels of inhumanity, indecency, toxicity and above all, atrocious bullying.
Even the students in the cafeteria, seemed to be finding joy and delight in my embarrassing misery as they too poked fun of my situation and called me names, cheered by the S. L. U. T Army ofcourse.
I controlled my burning eyes from shedding any tears somehow, even though I was crying like hell in the inside.
I did not want to give anyone, especially the spoilt rotten daughter of the Director of the university and all the amused students around us, any satisfaction by letting them know that they were able to break me down.
Instead, I tried to cover my exposed, burnt nip with my arms but one of the evil crazed bitches from Team Cassy Monroe, grabbed my wrists and exclaimed, “Did you hurt your palms too ? You should really look where you are going, otherwise you can get a blinking neon signboard that says- ‘Blind Fool Walking Here, Tread With Caution”, she bitched making everyone around us erupt in crazier and louder laughter.
With Dominic gone to consult with Ryan; and Tyra, Freya, Max and Conor suffering in a dingy class for lunch detention for a week with Ms Pierce, I felt cornered, powerless, embarrassed, hopeless and alone for the first time in my life.
I tried to run away but it seemed like the entire cafeteria population had encircled me in an air tight circle to watch the ensuing drama after 10 cups of burning hot coffee had been drained over one side of my body deliberately, when I turned around after receiving my tray of food from the counter.
So much so for telling me in front of everyone that “You should really look where you are going”, huh.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
I tried to force my way out but the sadists in the group pushed me back in the centre of the circle with amused smirks on their faces.
I glared at them and even got tempted to bash their faces, but I had to control my strength and my temper right now.
I could not expose my real identity and fighting my way through the crowd would have done exactly that.
“Running off somewhere, Ms Diaz ?”, Cassy taunted behind me and everyone laughed. What the eff ?! This was not even funny !
SOH (Sense Of Humour) in these guys was so dead like their brain cells.
Grrrrr.
I crunched my neck side by side and walked straight up to the evil doer, evading her personal space and clearly, making her uncomfortable.
I smirked and asked, “What was your name again ?”
Her jaw was left hanging and she clenched her jaw before speaking, “You bloody well know my name. Everyone in this city knows Cassy Monroe !!!!”, she screeched.
“Yeah, people often tend to remember the rich, the powerful, the successful and then lastly, the clowns like you- the epitome of the city’s humiliation”, I chuckled.
“HOW DARE YOU CALL ME THAT !!”, she shrieked. “HERE TAKE THIS, YOU C*NT”, she screamed and her temper got the better of her as she openly flung another cup of hot coffee on me- completely showing off both my twin towers of embarrassment, as my drenched top clung to my chest like second skin.
“MS MONROE !!”, a familiar, male voice thundered throughout the suddenly silent cafeteria and in stupefied fright, the crowd parted way for the newcomer.
The relief that washed my features was unexplainable but much desired.
I was already on the verge of breaking down with my legs ready to give my body away.
I was surely going to have a terrible time once I was alone in my dorm while reminiscing about these events and this horrible, horrible, horrible incident was going to be just another item in my list of nightmares.
“Everyone standing here shall be punished for open bullying and all the culprit girls shall be suspended for the entire week with their grades downgraded one level below. There is enough evidence to implicate you all in the police station, if your victim decides to let the Law take on you all. Now go to the Dean’s room and write a sincere apology letter to Ms Diaz, otherwise, I will make sure that you are permanently suspended from the university itself”, Kai furiously lashed out before hurrying towards my shivering figure and draping his blazer around me.
What a Gentleman.
He was my hero !
My saviour.
“You got me into trouble again but remember, Diaz, Dominic is MINE and I shall put you in your place which is licking the ground that I walk, when I am back”, Cassy threatened while fuming before snapping her fingers to summon her b*tches to follow her.
However, it was stupid of her to go straight towards the coffee puddle as soon enough her Burj Khalifa reaching heels were skidding over the cursed brown liquid, gathering around the slutty heels of all her minions too.
“You stooped really low today, Miss Whatever – is – your – name, but I did not know that you would go so low, so as to hug the floor”, I chuckled and earned a murderous glare from the fallen devil.
“Monroe. My flippin name is Cassy Monroe and I will surely get back to you for this”, she shouted at the top of her annoyingly shrill voice before an entire girl gang with broken ankles, dirty skirts and tear – makeup messed faces, was limping towards the Dean’s Office.
My heart sank when I was finally left alone and I knew that I was going to have a terrible breakdown after this.
“C’mon kitten”, Kai tenderly whispered in my ear as he led me towards his office. “Let us fix up your dress and you”, he gently coaxed before announcing to the entire cafeteria, “Everyone out of here ! I was not kidding about your punishment.”
“Kai”, I whimpered as we exited the cafeteria.
“I know, baby, I know. Stay strong for me for 2 minutes more. I will sanction a half day for you and keep you with me”, he cooed.
