TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

” I came here for the necklace I gave you, Axion,” Phoenix said and that made Axion stand up from his chair, and walk up to her.

” Why do you suddenly need the necklace back? ” He demanded with one eyebrow raised.

” Listen Axion… it’s a long story and you won’t understand. But one thing you should know is that your life is in threat with that necklace still on you ” Phoenix revealed. Axion grimaced.

” Didn’t you tell aunt the necklace was meant to protect me? Why am I suddenly in danger because of it? ” He skeptically eyed her. The person standing before him doesn’t quite sound like Phoenix to him. The Phoenix he knows wouldn’t even come to his office, to begin with.

” How am I to explain this to you? ” Phoenix lamented.

” Ok, listen. The Princess of Terror, who was the main reason I gave you the necklace found out about it and I don’t know how ”

” I had a vision she will show up in your office to take it from you which is why I came here. You know I won’t even step a foot out of the house talk more of coming here but it’s your life that is at stake here ” She explained.

” What does the Princess of Terror have to do with me? ”

” I can’t explain everything to you now, Axion, please! ” Phoenix half yelled.

” It’s important I take that necklace off. Please Axion, trust me ” She said in a much gentler tone.

Staring into her eyes, Axion felt a weird sensation making him uncomfortable. He was that much convinced by what Phoenix said but decided to shrug it off. Besides, only Phoenix can see the necklace, so it is obvious only she will want him to take it off too.

Well, that’s what he assumed.

” Fine ” He gave in and Phoenix beamed.

She stepped closer and placed her hand on his shoulder, flashing him an assuring smile. She held the pendant on the necklace and her smile turned into a wild, evil grin as she crushed it to pieces and the necklace fell off.

Immediately it dropped to the floor, Axion felt a huge part of him leave his body and he grew weak instantly. Leaning her face to his ear,

” Don’t worry. I promise it won’t hurt ” Phoenix whispered to him.

” What do you mean it…

Axion wasn’t even done with the question when he felt something piece into his skin making him moan in extreme pain.

It turned out Phoenix had bitten him, her sharp fangs gnawing into his neck. Blood oozed out and Phoenix licked off some of it. With her fingernails turning into sharp claws, she cut her wrist with it and brought it to Axion’s neck, making sure the blood dripped down and mixed with the one on Axion’s neck.

Axion writhed in more pain as claws drew out of his fingers and his eyes turned dark. The wound on his neck healed up and he froze on the spot like he was possessed.

Phoenix’s smirk grew wider and she ran her fingers through Axion’s face.

” Now, you’re finally mine Axion, mine ” Her evil laughter filled the office as she shape-shifted to her original form.

It turned out she wasn’t Phoenix but an extremely beautiful woman who looked just like a goddess. If possible, she could be one. She had a long black with red striped hair and her face was without blemish. She was putting on a garment that covered her b**bs partially, exposing most of it. It also covered her lower part but her laps and legs were uncovered.

She was half-naked.

BACK TO PHOENIX AND GIANNA

” If you aren’t in the office with Axion right now, then who is there with him? ” Phoenix demanded with a stern look.

” Your main enemy, the one person who truly wants Axion to herself ” Gianna retorted with a shrug.

” What? I thought you wanted Axion ” Phoenix asked, confused.

” Well, I lied to you. Isn’t that obvious? ” Gianna let out a hoaxed laugh.

” It was all part of the plan, my dear Phoenix, all part of the plan ” She uncovered, confusing Phoenix even more.

” What nonsense are you talking about Gianna? ”

” Nonsense? ” Gianna snorted.

” This isn’t nonsense Phoenix, this is the fucking painful truth! ”

” You know what, have a seat, let me explain it to you the more ” She added, sitting down and shifting Phoenix’s bowl of macaroni to herself. Phoenix only watched her with parted lips as she dig into the macaroni.

” You see, I didn’t lie to you when I said I am the Princess of Terror but I did lie when I said Axion was my mate. Let me tell you a story ” Gianna shoved a fork of macaroni into her mouth.

” Once upon a time, there was a kingdom, a peaceful kingdom which had nothing lacking. The people of this kingdom found fulfillment tormenting the human world, giving them nightmares and inflicting pain and terror on them ” She proceeded.

” Until one day, it was revealed that the Goddess of that kingdom had a mate but unfortunately, her mate was also bonded to a Phoenix. It also turned out that her mate was a possession of mortal worst enemy… The King of all Dark Genie ”

” Because of that, her kingdom was destroyed by the King of all Dark Genie and she was killed. Her daughter was banished from the kingdom too ” Gianna continued.

” Not wanting to give up on her kingdom, the Goddess strikes a deal with the King of all Dark Genie, that if he gives her life once again and restores her kingdom, she will bring her mate to him. The deal was done and soon the deed will be done ”

” Now the explanation part ” Gianna stood up, stepping closer to Phoenix.

” By the way, nice macaroni you got here ” She smirked.

” Back to our story. The Goddess I am talking about is none other than, Melinoe, Queen, and Goddess of Panic and Terror… my mother ” Gianna finally dropped the bomb and it exploded loud in Phoenix’s head making her eyes enlarge in great shock.

” And her mate is none other than your Axion who is also a possession of the King of all Dark Genie. I was just helping her distract you so she can get what she wants. You know I had to make you believe I wanted to possess Axion, so my mother can attack when you aren’t on guard ”

Phoenix’s brain was already swirling in confusion, panic, and disbelief. She didn’t even know where to start digesting the truth.

” Who is the King of all Dark Genie? Why and how is Axion his possession? How is Axion hers and Melinoe’s mate at the same time? How is Gianna Melinoe’s daughter, how?! ”

All these questions kept ringing in her brain.

” Oh did I forget to tell you; it was all thanks to your lovely aunt, Glinda, that my mother was able to find out about your tiny powerful necklace and I know that by now, she must have taken it off Axion’s neck and bonded him to herself by blood ” Gianna revealed the even more bizarre news to Phoenix who went cold on the spot due to shock.

” Aunt Glinda?! ” She exclaimed.

” If I were you Phoenix, instead of being here and listening to all my nonsense, I will try to save my mate from Melinoe because all that is left is for Axion to get intimate with her before he becomes hers… permanently ”

Gianna’s last words kept echoing in Phoenix’s as she ran out of the house, all the way to Axion’s company. She didn’t even care how far it was as all that mattered to her was saving Axion.

” I can’t let Melinoe take Axion from me, I need to stop her ” She kept mumbling to herself. Her tears already buckled up as she tried to swallow them back.

Phoenix finally got to the company and rushed in. She was more than shocked to see everyone lying lifeless on the floor making her gasp.

She hurried to the elevator and headed to the last floor. She was tapping her feet on the ground, nervous and impatient. After what seemed like an eternity to her, the elevator finally stopped and opened.

She dashed out and quickly covered her mouth seeing the countless dead employees lying on the floor, their blood all over. Her fear only tripled thinking about Axion.

Barging the door of his office open, her eyes almost popped out of their sockets seeing Melinoe hugging Axion.

” Axion! ” She called and made to rush to him when he and Melinoe disappeared immediately.
