Spoiled by the Silver Fox

Chapter 619

"Mr. Damon."

"You can just call me Putnam."

"Alright, Putnam, about you and Maddie."

"Don't worry. Although what happened last night was unexpected. I'll take responsibility since it already happened."

"Putnam, don't get me wrong. Maddie didn't tell us about this. Her father saw the bruises on her face and forced the truth out of her. I called you because we are concerned about this naughty girl. As parents, we need to know she's okay."

"I understand. Please take care of her injuries. I'll explain everything to my family."

If he really talked to his family about this, it meant that he will really take responsibility.

Brian, who was listening on the side, let out a sigh of relief.

Mrs. Palmer's face also softened into a smile, "Maddie's father always thought you were a promising and reliable young man. We'll feel assured!" Putnam deeply breathed, "Do you have anything else to discuss?"

"No, feel free to visit us sometime."

"Alright."

After hanging up the phone, Putnam continued driving with mixed feelings, not even in the mood to go to the office anymore.

He just wanted to go back to Sebastian's villa and have a good fight with that jerk.

But knowing his own strength, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance, so he avoided causing trouble and went back to the Damon family. The Damon family was busy as usual.

Visitors to the Damon family were never scarce.

Male guests were entertained by Galloway and Cyrus Damon, female guests were hosted by Mrs. Damon in the living room.

When Putnam came back, several high society ladies were sitting in the living room, along with several young ladies from wealthy families. Putnam greeted everyone with a neutral expression and was about to head upstairs.

Suddenly, one of the ladies remarked, "Mr. Damon really is a promising young man. Mrs. Damon, is he engaged?"

Mrs. Damon was about to say no when she saw Putnam turn around and said seriously, "You don't need to arrange my marriage for me. I already have a fiancée."

He didn't have a fiancée yesterday. And now he does.

Putnam found the world to be truly peculiar. He had no bright expectations for the future. His career had always been the most important thing to him. But he was screwed over by Sebastian. He didn't have a choice. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

For him, what touched his sense of responsibility the most about Maddie was the bloodstain on the sheets.

Putnam was a rather traditional guy.

He couldn't just take someone's

virginity and then not take

responsibility. He felt that doing so

would ruin a girl's life.

If he didn't take responsibility, and if her future husband resents her because she's not a virgin, he would carry that guilt for the rest of his life.

So, he made this decision without much thought.

Because as Sebastian said, he didn't have any expectations for women, it doesn't matter who he marries.

The Palmer family may not be as well-off, but compared to Stephanie. They were already a good match.

Two matching families would not have a lot of disputes.

Mrs. Damon asked in surprise, "You have a girlfriend. Does your father know about this?"

Putnam answered casually, "I will tell him."

"Well then. Discuss it with your father. I can accept whoever you choose as long as you're happy with the girl and you two live happily."

But the fact was, he didn't have any feelings for anyone.
