"Haha, no way she'd let me sleep with her!"

"Time for bed."Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

"Feeling sleepy?"

"Yeah."

He wasn't actually sleepy, just worried that if he stayed up, Stephanie might say something shocking.

She was so young, but always thinking about naughty things!

Hearing him say he was sleepy, Stephanie assumed he really was and stopped bothering him.

She turned over, lying on her side for a bit before falling asleep.

Listening to the familiar rhythm of her breathing, Sebastian pulled Stephanie into his arms, and just like that, fell asleep with her in his embrace. However, whenever Stephanie woke up before him and found herself in his arms, she would feel embarrassed about being so forward in her sleep.

She always took advantage of his unconscious state; it's so embarrassing.

The next morning, just as Stephanie predicted, Sammy Bishop and his family really did come by.

At that time, she was still asleep; she was woken up by the noise outside.

Marilyn's younger brother, Sammy Bishop, along with his wife Patty and their two kids, had come for a visit.

At first, Marilyn was surprised, then she greeted them with a bitter smile, "Welcome."

Sammy Bishop, seemingly oblivious to her surprise, acted as though nothing had happened and looked at his wife.

His wife immediately pushed their two kids forward saying, "Say hello."

"Good morning!"

The kids didn't understand adult matters.

Even though Marilyn held a grudge against Sammy Bishop for the humiliation she suffered when Stephanie asked him for money, she still loved these two kids. Immediately, she smiled and said, "Yates and Nettie, welcome. Do you remember Steph?"

The kids looked at each other, then said confusedly, "Didn't Steph die? How come she's still alive? Our parents said she was going to die." Marilyn's smile froze.

Stephanie came out of the doorway and her face turned cold at the comment.

Sammy Bishop's face froze as well, but Patty reacted quickly, slapping both kids on the head, "So rude! ts that how I taught you? Steph is better now! She's recovered.

DUMS

The two kids, one in their teens, the other around five or six, had red faces from the slaps but didn't cry.

Patty chuckled awkwardly, "Marilyn,

don't mind them; kids know nothing.

We didn't know you were back home and doing well, otherwise we would've come to see you sooner."

Marilyn replied coldly, "No need. I'm fine now."

"Ah, that's good. Marilyn, when we arrived, your neighbors told us. Is that Audi parked outside yours?"

"Yes, it's my mother's!" Stephanie walked over, sounding annoyed.

Seeing her, Sammy Bishop and Patty's faces tightened again.

Sammy Bishop laughed awkwardly, "Steph, I was wrong before, but I was drunk, stressed, and your grandparents were always sick. Your mom was busy taking care of you and couldn't afford to give money to them and with the kids' schooling. I was rude to you because I drank too much. Steph, I'm your family and I've always loved you!

You wouldn't hold my past mistakes against me, right?"
