chapter 54
chapter 54
We got downstairs and two yellow cabs were lined up. I hopped in with Merida and Floyd, while
the other three girls got in the other one. I slid across the seat; the fresh air outside hit me a soon as I
walked out the doors. We made our way across the City towards our destination. Getting out, Floyd
paid the cab driver and hooked his arm through mine.
“You stay within my sights at all times, understood?” I nodded not feeling like getting into an
argument with anyone. I just wanted to have fun and do things people my own age do. Walking up the
steps we were greeted by the bouncer Floyd nodded to him, the bouncer recognising him let us straight
in. Ignoring the crowd that was lined up and booing loudly. Merida tugged my arm pulling me forward
and dragging me to towards the bar.
She ordered drinks while I looked around, there was a huge dancefloor in the centre of and tables
and chairs lined randomly around the room, which was dark. The only lights coming from the disco
style lights flickering on and off. Music was blaring and we had to yell to hear each other. I had never
been in a nightclub before, the few times I had been out had only been to small bars with not so many
people. This place was very lively, and I could tell was a huge attraction in the city.
The dance floor was just a sea of people jumping and moving in rhythm to the music. Merida
passed me a pink cocktail I wasn’t sure what it was, but it smelt like regret. I sipped it and I could taste
guava, it was sweet. When we finished our drinks, Merida and the girls pulled me onto the dance floor
while Floyd chatted to another man, who I had no doubt was another werewolf. I was now starting to be
able to tell the difference between humans and supernaturals, there was something with the way they
carried themselves, the look in their eyes, and also the way their eyes darted around watching nothing
in particular yet watching everything. I shivered when they both looked in my direction I quickly looked
away. The biggest give away the fact that most werewolves were all brawn and muscle and
otherworldly gorgeous.
After dancing for a while, I went and sat down. Tammy brought me over another drink as well as
two shots thrusting them in my hand, she grabbed two of her own. One in each hand. Holding them up.
Tammy was the sort of woman you could tell lived on the wild side and knew how to have fun, I envied
her and her carefree ways.
“One, two THREE” She screamed I couldn’t help but laugh at her face. Her excitement was
contagious. I swallowed the first one done then the second. I was at that point in intoxication, where it
just tasted like drinking water. I sipped the purple drink she got me. I looked around and Merida waved
for me to come back to the dancefloor, I shook my head no longer trusting my ability to walk now that I
had sat down. I watched as she pouted before turning and dancing with the girls.
I looked around and people watched, Floyd was talking happily with his friend, then I looked over
and turned back quickly when I realised who was walking toward me. God, I hoped he didn’t see me.
This can’t be fucking happening. Mark was here.
He walked over placing his hands on my shoulders from behind me.
“Hey what are you doing here?” he asked. I could tell he was drunk, his words slurred slightly. He
was wearing jeans and a button up shirt quite different to his usual business attire. “Come dance with
me,” he said tugging on my hand softly. I shook my head.
“No, I’m good, I just sat back down” I told him trying to yell over the top of the music. Mark leant in
closer trying to hear me over the music. I was very aware of all the eyes on me, watching me. Floyd
lent across the table grabbing Mark’s attention. Mark smiled before holding his hand out to him.
“I’m Mark,” he said, Floyd had a sly smile on his face but shook his hand anyway. “Floyd,” he said
with a nod. Mark turned back to me. “You here with anyone besides him” Just as he asked, Merida
walked over and sat on my lap. Throwing her arms around my neck. Mark looked stun for a second.
“Oh, you’re with Merida?” He looked confused for a second, he obviously knew Merida was gay. Maybe
I was the only one that didn’t realise. I don’t know if it was because she was drunk or what, but I was
just as shocked when she kissed me her tongue brushing mine.
Floyd almost choked on his drink behind us, Merida’s lips were soft, I could taste her lip balm and
the strawberry taste of the last drink she drank, vastly different from kissing Theo and Tobias, I was
surprised to find it actually turned me on. She was gentle, her tongue brushing mine softly before she
pulled away and winked at me.
“Yep, Imogen is with me” she said to Mark, he stood there awkwardly.
“Maybe I will see you later Imogen” Before walking off clearly not knowing what to think. Merida
burst out laughing.
“Did you see his face” She snorted while laughing and I couldn’t help but laugh with her. Well at This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
least he was gone.
“You might regret that though Merida” Floyd said nodding his head up to the VIP lounge upstairs.
Standing above us looking directly at us, was Tobias and Theo. I groaned, really this shit can’t be
happening. They did not look impressed and were eying Merida with disapproval.
“It was harmless, come on Merida” I said pulling her onto the dance floor hoping to blend into the
rest of the people dancing. “Why are they here?” I screamed over the music.
“They own the place, Tobias brought it, so shifters had a safe place to go where we are all in one
place, man I am going to be in so much shit for kissing you” She giggled. Pulling me closer as we
danced. “Well, if we are gonna get in trouble, might as well make it worth it” I grabbed her and kissed
her, her tongue tangling in mine, I felt her smile against my lips before kissing me back. Our bodies
grinding against each other as we danced.
When we pulled apart, we were both laughing and made our way through the crowd toward the
bar. I ordered more drinks and we sat on the stools at the bar. I didn’t bother to see if they were still
watching and quite frankly didn’t give a shit after a few more drinks and god knows how many shots, I
was completely wasted. My surrounding spinning as we walked out of the club. The crisp air was
refreshing making me realise how stuffy the club actually was. I wasn’t even sure how we were still
upright as we all clung to each other trying to walk toward the taxi stand.
When we arrived all six of us girls slumped on the seat. There wasn’t enough room, so I sat across
them. We were completely wasted and a giggling mess. When a car pulled up, I looked up. Thinking it
was the taxi only it wasn’t, I groaned loudly.
“Imogen Merida and Alicia in, Theo will drop the rest of you back. He will be here in a minute”
Merida got up pulling me with her. I climbed in the front, Alicia and Merida got in the back. Floyd came
over and spoke to Tobias through the window.
“Traitor” I called out giggling. I know it was him that told them where we were.
“Night Imogen,” he said a cheeky grin on his face.
Tobias wound the window up and pulled away from the curb, the car ride was silent from Tobias
who barely uttered a word. The girls chatting happily in the back. I leant over the seat joining in the
conversation. Until Tobias slapped my ass and told me to sit properly.
When we arrived, the girls got out. I went to get out to when Tobias grabbed my hand. “Nope
you’re coming home with us” I pouted folding my arms across my chest, but I was much too drunk to
really be mad. And honestly, I was exhausted.
Theo pulled up behind us and chucked the keys to the valet before hopping in the car with us.
“What the hell are you wearing Imogen” he scolded “Clothes, I can take them off if they bother you
so much Theo” He shook his head annoyed. “You might as well be wearing nothing with how tight and
short that dress is” He replied. I rolled my eyes and rested my head on the window. I was half asleep by
the time we got home. Theo opened the car door I was leaning on, only just managing to catch me in
time as I fell out of the car. He scooped me up and walked inside taking me upstairs and placing me on
the bed.
I felt them tug my clothes off, and shoes.
