Chapter 48 - He’s Mad
After thirty minutes or so, Ada started inviting everyone to dance. She looked at him to see if he will let her and when he nodded, Jada quickly followed the pinks to the dancefloor.
She was already feeling a bit tipsy but she didn't care. Jada just continued dancing. After a while, someone hugged her by the waist from behind, but she didn't bother to turn around. Jada just tried removing his arms. "I have a boyfriend, get off," she refused, her voice booming. Instead of removing his arms, he tightened his hug so she got irritated.
"I said I have a boyfriend-" she wasn't able to continue what she was going to say because when she turned around, Jada saw that it was Lyken.
"Really?" he asked, smiling widely at her. "Really, Ja? You have a boyfriend?" he asked again.
Jada just laughed at him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She heard him laugh and whisper, "I love you Ja!"
"I love you too," she whispered back as she looked straight into his eyes.
Lyken inched closer to her, looking at her luscious lips. And right in the middle of the dancefloor, he kissed her.
The kiss was way different. It tasted sweeter and with longing. Jada smiled as they kissed. When they stopped, they continued dancing then they went back to their friends.
They spent the night exchanging stories and answering Honey's calls. The couple told them they want to go home because they already missed them, but they also want to make the most of their honeymoon. When it was time to go home, the pinks decided not to come with them. Instead, they asked Steve and Robin to take them to the salon.
They're spending the night there because they have a client coming to the salon early the next day. Lyken, on the other hand, came home with Jada.
"Are you sleeping here?" she asked him.
"Can I?" he asked back and she nodded.
They stayed in the living room for a while, watching TV. After an hour or so, they decided to go to her room to sleep.
While on the bed, Lyken spooned her. Jada, with her back on his, continued checking her phone, as well as some Facebook messages with Honey.
Then she felt his warm palm on her stomach as he kisses her neck. "I love you, sweetie," Lyken whispered.
She put down her phone on the side table before turning to face him. He let her use his arm as a pillow while his other hand rests on her waist.
"I love you too Ly," then she kissed him on his lips. "I'm going home tomorrow by the way. I need to visit my parents," she informed him. "What time are you leaving?"
"In the morning," Jada replied.
"Ja, can I go with you?" he asked sweetly.
"Of course. You don't have any meetings tomorrow?"
"None, I moved them all to Thursday," then he frowned. "You're leaving this Friday right?"
"Yeah, we're leaving Friday. The event is on Sunday, in Brazil. Monday morning here."All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Sweetie, promise me you'll take care while you're there."
"I promise, for you."
Lyken hugged her again as he plant a kiss on her forehead. She can feel the warmth of his body as his hug tightens.
When she woke up the next morning, Lyken was no longer on her bed. She hugged the pillow next to her and can still smell him from there.
Jada went straight to the kitchen when she came out of her room. There she found him, preparing breakfast for the two of them.
"Good morning sweetie!" Lyken greeted her as he walked over and kissed her cheek.
"You're up early, why didn't you wake me up?"
He pulled her by the waist and kissed the tip of her nose, "I don't want to ruin your beauty rest, you were sleeping like a baby. My baby!" he responded as he take Jada to the countertop and made her sit on the stool. He served their food and held her hand before they started eating. He didn't let go and Jada's heart swelled with happiness.
She suddenly recalled how they were in college. It was just like that. Even their batchmates will laugh at them. 'You're giving yourselves a hard time,' they would say.
After breakfast, they started cleaning up to prepare to leave. After almost an hour, they to her parents' house. Both of them were excited when they saw the man she was with. Jada's mother can't help but look at their hands and then she looked at them a teasing smile on her face. "Ma! You're too obvious!" she joked as Jada take her hand and kiss it. "Good morning Ma, Pa," Lyken greeted and their smiles widened.
Jada's father immediately put an arm over Lyken's shoulders and led him to the living room. "Have you guys fixed things?" he asked and Lyken nodded at him with a smile. "Does that mean you're getting married soon?" her father asked again.
"Pa! We just got back together!" she called him off, but he didn't pay attention to her.
Lyken started whispering to him and Jada saw how her father was nodding in response and she can only shake her head. They do get along with each other.
After having lunch, Lyken and Jada decided to go for a swim. Meanwhile, her parents went to their room for their afternoon rest.
When she stepped out of the door towards the pool area, she saw Lyken doing laps. Jada walked over as quietly as possible and used the pool's drop-in to quietly get into the water. She swam in his direction to surprise him but he pulled her up instead. "I know you're here!" he exclaimed.
Jada put her hands on his shoulder and tried to push him down but he just gripped her waist and pulled her close to him. "I really hate seeing you wear something like this!"

"That's exactly the problem. You're too sexy and men can't stop themselves from drooling!"
"Then we do have a problem," she stated and he creased his forehead. "We're modeling swimwear in Brazil," she confessed.
His lips curved downwards. Then he slapped the water because of irritation and Jada wasn't able to stop herself from laughing.
She pushed him away and swam toward the far end of the pool. But she was startled when he suddenly popped out next to her.
"Are you serious?" he asked with a straight face. She nodded and he frowned, looking like he was ready to cry. "Sweetie!" he exclaimed. "Do you think I'd be able to focus on my work knowing that?" "Sweetie, just pretend you didn't hear what I said, okay?"
He turned around and pushed himself up and out of the pool. He went straight to the lounge chair, snatched the towel, and wipe his body. He then heads inside without looking back at her. Lyken ignored Jada even during dinner, even her mother noticed that. She told them everything and both her parents laughed at him and that heightened his irritation.
Jada went straight to her room after dinner. Plopping on her bed, she turned the TV on and put it on the fashion channel.
After a while, Lyken came in and slumped on the bed, still ignoring her. When he can't hold it back anymore, he rolled to her side and hugged her by the waist.
"Sweetie..." he called.
"Hmm?"
"Please don't do it."
"What do you mean?"
"Please don't go modeling with just swimwear on," he blurted out and Jada laughed. "You think that's funny?" he snapped then he jumped off of the bed and went straight out of the room.
