Chapter 40 — A Small Slip Up
Jada's nowhere to be seen when Lyken came back. He left the group for almost an hour because he had a hard time mediating between Josefin and her fiancé, Emil.
"Dude, can you go fetch Jada? She won't listen, she's already wasted," Robin told him as soon as his butt touched the couch.
He looked at the dancefloor, scanning the crowd to find the person he's looking for. There he saw her with Bambi and Ada.
All the blood in his body rushed to his head when he leaned closer to get a better look at her. She's dancing with a guy he's not familiar with. He doesn't even know if she knows the man. Jada's one arm is wrapped around the man's neck, while the other one still holds the bottle of vodka. He shook his head in disbelief. 'What is going on with her?'
Lyken doesn't know if he should go to her. He doesn't even know what he will do to get her off of the dancefloor. He glanced at Kobe and he, too, looked worried.
"Go ahead man, she's already drunk a lot," Kobe urged. Left without a choice, he stood up and walked up to her.
As he walked closer, Lyken saw the man placing his hand on Jada's waist. Her entire body flared. He wanted to charge and punch him but he didn't want to make a scene.
Watching them Jada turned around to avoid the man's hand. Lyken can't help but chuckle. She does know her way.
The man distanced himself from her but he's still close. Lyken took advantage of the situation and quickly approached her.
He hugged Jada from behind and he was shocked when she wrapped her arm around his neck, moving his face closer to her neck. 'Wow, she smells good!'
Lyken knows she's drunk when she almost tripped on her foot while dancing. "Ja, that's enough," he whispered as he kept swaying with her.
Jada just gave out a low moan in response. He suddenly felt like everything that could stand up in his body, stood up after hearing that.
"Your skirt's too short, Jadanela," he whispered again.
Lyken was surprised when she turned around to face him, placing both arms around his neck and pulling him closer to her. "Aren't you turned on?" she whispered back.
And those words were the straw that broke the camel's back. 'What the fuck? What if it wasn't me she was dancing with? What if I'm someone else?'
She smiled at him with her sultry eyes, losing her balance as she kept dancing. Lyken pulled her by the waist and pressed her body to his for support. "You're hard," she giggled.
Lyken felt hot, he won't deny that. But he can't think of himself right now. They're in public and Jada's drunk. He doesn't want to take advantage of her situation. However, it was too late. She already tiptoed to kiss him. Her lips feel hot and he's starting to feel like he's burning as well.
But again, she's drunk. Lyken was tempted to kiss her back and when he was about to, she suddenly felt heavy in her arms. 'Shit, she blacked out!'
He pulled Bambi's arm to get his attention then he passed onto him the bottle of vodka. In one swift move, he scooped Jada and walked out of the dancefloor.
Bambi and Ada followed them out. They looked for a taxi and helped him put Jada inside. Before he got in, he asked them to let the rest of the guys know that he had already taken Jada home.
When they got to their house, he helped her out of the cab. She's so drunk, she can't even stand on her own so he had to carry her inside.
One of their maids opened the door for them. She even looked surprised when she saw Jada but Lyken motioned for her to be quiet and she did.
Rose followed them upstairs and helped him as he lay Jada down on her bed. "Rose, can you please wipe her with cold water and change her clothes?"
When she nodded, Lyken turned on his heel and went to the room where they were staying. He washed up and changed his clothes too.
On his way back to Jada's room, Rose just got out of there. "Sir, I'm done washing Miss Jada and I also changed her clothes," she told him.
"Thanks, Rose, I'll just go check on her. You can go to sleep."
When Lyken got inside her room, she was already sound asleep. He sat next to her on the bed and stared at her face. She's really gorgeous, there's no denying that.
He caressed her cheek gently and was startled when she held onto his hand. "Ly..." she called in a low voice.
Lyken's heart skipped a beat. He doesn't know if he should be happy because she called for him or if he should panic because she caught him doing something to her. "Hmm?" He responded but she didn't reply.
After a while, Lyken heard her sniff, "Ly, I'm sorry," she muttered.
He looked closely at her and saw the tears welling in the corners of her eyes. He felt like someone punched him.
'Why is she apologizing to me? I'm supposed to be the one to apologize to her after everything I did.'
"I'm sorry Lyken," she whispered again.

When he heard her say that again, he didn't hold back. There was no other way for him to stop her from crying so he just pressed her lips with a kiss.
Lyken was in awe when she hooked her arm around his neck even before he could move away. She started kissing him back and he felt ecstatic.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
Her kisses are warm. They are light and warm and he can't stop himself from returning them. He lay down next to her as carefully as possible. She even moved to give way to him. Lyken lifted her head to prop his arm under it and kissed her forehead then her lips. Her kisses are light but they're longing. He suddenly remembered the night they shared at Huesca. That was the happiest moment of his life. The night he owned her. The night she gave herself to him. But that was the same night she left him because of his stupidity.
Lyken regretted everything he did to her ever since she came back. If only he could erase everything he did that brought her pain, he would.
After Huesca, he promised himself that he'll do everything in his power just to earn her forgiveness. He loves her so much to lose her over and over again.
Her hug tightened as she placed her other hand on his chest. "Ly..." she moaned.
It turned him on, so badly. But he knows it's wrong. She's drunk and he can't take advantage of her so he stopped on his own.
He saw her smile when he stopped kissing her. But it wasn't a happy smile. It was a mocking smile and that confused him.
"Ly, I know you're engaged. But please stay with me tonight. Just for tonight," she pleads.
Lyken nodded as he inched closer to her. He let her use his arm as her pillow and she hugged him tightly.
He kissed her forehead and then closed his eyes. Lyken was about ready to doze off when he realized something.
'Engaged? Who's engaged? Me? What the heck was she saying? When did I get engaged? To whom? Holyshhh...'
