Digging into my bags and cupboard I try to find any wooden box to keep the hairpin inside as today is Xu Xu’s birthday. Unfolding my dresses I check my pockets my eyes goes small when my brows contact touching something inside the pocket.

I don’t remember owing something like this.

Taking it into my palm I caress it trying to figure out the object before taking a look at it, furling my brows I pull it out noticing the object. My mind flashes back to the day when I bought the bracelet while following JiangYi. The picture of Feng Lei standing opposite to me in the cupboard on that night plays in my mind, I feel my cheeks below my eyes making me realise that I’m smiling stupidly. Bringing the pair of bracelet which is tangled to my vision I remember the words of the seller. He told that it’s a love bound bracelet and I will meet my love very soon and that same night I saw him.

The sound of the footsteps on the wooden floor gets into my ears making me to hide the bracelet between my pile of folded clothes.

“What are you doing?,” Feng Lei asks wiping his wet hair with the towel, placing the wooden basin at the side of room he walks towards me eyeing around and then his pupils lands back on me.

“Looking for a wooden box,” answering him I get back to search for any container my casual behaviour now is being the opposite inside.

“I have one,” opening the drawer of his cupboard he pulls out some books from it “For the hairpin right?,” he asks while searching.

Stopping my actions I walk closer to him standing beside him I peep over his shoulder waiting till he finds it “Yes,” I reply wearing a smile.

“Got it,” he turns around making me to step back instantly leaving distance between us, I daze at him when his lips forms to a mysterious smile. Keeping a step forward closing the gap between us I lift arm to snatch the box away but he moves it behind his back quickly.

“Alright, Tell me what it is?,” Stepping back I cross my arms over my chest watching him by raising a brow questionably.

That smile of his surely shows that there is something which it should do in return to get what I want.

“Answer the truth to my question,” he continues to speak after I nod in reply “Did HenYu do,” gathering the muscles around his thin lips he blows in and out.

My eyebrows arches on its own while my eyes observe the movement of mouth and his feet which lifts up standing on the toes and down his heels landing on the floor. He continues his movement raising his brows at me gesturing me to speak meanwhile my mind is still trying to find out what he means.

“What do you mean?,” I finally ask not being able to understand him.

When did he turn out to act so stupid?

“I mean,” he stops and looks straight at me pointing at his lips “Did HenYu do,” he does the same movement again and halts “To save you,” he blurts letting out a slight sigh like he has been holding weight on his shoulders.

“I don’t get you,”

“Did HenYu provide you breathing,” he utters as soon as I complete my question.

My mind didn’t react for his question instead it’s processing on his action connecting with the procedure of doing it.

“Did you mean that by pulling the air in and out,” I point at his mouth my tone showing the current state of my mind.

“Doesn’t it seem the same,” a meek smile plays on his face.

“No it doesn’t seem the same and No he didn’t do that, I woke up before it,”

“Didn’t HenYu tell you all about it yesterday?,” I ask grabbing the box from his hand, opening it I check whether the size is correct.

“He did but he seemed weird,” he answers and the surrounding captures silence as no one of us spoke and I was busy examining the box.

“Wait,” I almost tell it to myself like the light just lit up on my head “Why do you ask about it?,” Pushing the box inside my pocket I keep a step forward making him to keep a step backwards.

“You are not someone who minds others business,” My voice turns dangerously low my eyes glaring at him.

“Except yours,” he answers quickly and disappears in a blink of an eye.

Feng Lei kept on pestering me for this whole week asking me whether I’m fine and begging me to be safe. He kept on following me everywhere I go thinking that I never noticed him but I did yet I pretended like I didn’t.

Keeping the hairpin in the box I put it in my pocket so that I can leave as soon as the class is over. I’ve ordered the chef in house of Jin to make her favourite dishes with large quantity as others are joining me too and it’s going to be a big treat.

“What did you want tell me?,” XuXu leans forward bringing her face close to mine with a beaming smile.

“I’ll let you know later,” I move my face forward “After the party is over,” I whisper.

“I can’t wait,” she pouts fluttering her eyes many times sending pitiful vibes through her sight.

“Change to your new clothes and come soon, all are waiting for you,” patting over her head I stroll out closing the door of the dressing room I walk to the private room where Feng Lei, HenYu, ChengLi and Xiang are arranging the meals and bowls.

This will be her unforgettable day and I’m sure that she is going to hug me and cry with tears of joy.

“There she is,” placing the cup on the table I walk towards the doorway when I spot her outside.

“How do I look?,” She giggles making herself look even more adorable with pink hanfu.

“You look….,”

My pupil delates in horror panic flaring in my eyes as the fear paralyzes my body when the sound of her scream got into my ears.
