Washington DC.
The Stones family residence.
All the members of the Stones family were all present at the living room.
"How dare he?! Is he tired of living?" Raphael growled in anger.
Just then the door opened, and Emelda was led inside. Behind her were ten bodyguards.
Nicole and Lily ran over to her,
"Emelda!!! Are you hurt?" Nicole enveloped her in a hug, as she sobbed.
"Grandma, I'm fine. I'm not hurt." Although Emelda was weak, she smiled.
"Thank God... thank God..." Nicole continued sobbing.
Lily directed scooped her in her arms, and led her back to where the others were.
"Grandpa, great grandpa.." Emelda smiled at them.
Raphael was too furious to even manage a smile for his great granddaughter.
He was thinking of the various methods to deal with that bastard...
'Stephen!!'
How dare he kidnap his granddaughter right under his nose?
However, when he thought about it carefully, he decided it was partly his fault.
He had acted lackadaisically concerning Emelda's safety.
Kidnapping a Stone?!
He was truly tired of living. He didn't care if Stephen was the godson of his friend... He was going to
destroy him!
The door opened with a bang, and Quinn rushed into the room, alongside Henry.
She ran directly over to her daughter, and hugged her tightly.
Her tears poured out in torrents,
"I'm sorry.... I'm sorry my love." She cried as she hugged her tightly.
Emelda had been struggling to keep her tears at bay, but when she saw her mother, she couldn't hold
back her tears.
She sobbed in her mother's arms...
"It's okay, sweetheart. I'm here for you now. No one is going to take you away from us ever again. I
promise." Quinn vowed solemnly.
"I k.... know mum. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see you again." Emelda continued sobbing.
"Hush... It's okay... Mum is here for you now." Quinn patted the top of her head.
"Has he been apprehended?" She asked her grandfather.
"Yes. He's at the station at the moment." Her father replied.
"I will like to see him." Quinn said without hesitation.
"Are you sure about that?" Sylvester asked her.
"Of course I am. I have few things to say to him." Quinn said in a cold tone.
Her family members nodded. They could understand how she felt.
After all, the person who kidnapped her daughter was none other than her own friend!
They could understand the feeling of betrayal which they were sure she was feeling at that moment.
"Alright then... As you please. I'll take-"
"No need, I'll take her there myself." Henry interrupted her father. He also wanted to see the scumbag
who was inhumane enough to kidnap an innocent kid. The bastard who had the nerve to threaten him
on the phone. He wanted to see who it was...
Sylvester nodded,
"Okay then, take her there. Make sure nothing happens to her."
"I will..." Henry replied.
..............
Emelda was carefully tucked in the sheets on her bed. She was mentally exhausted.
Getting kidnapped was torturous for an adult, what more a kid?
She must have been terrified...
Seeing her uncomfortable look, as she slept, Quinn rubbed her hair gently, until she loosened her
expression.
==================
At the police station.
Quinn walked into the police station, with Henry tailing.
A police officer approached her and bowed politely. He was well aware of who the young lady in front of Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
him was....
Quinn Stone!
"I want to see Stephen. I don't need to explain, do I?" Quinn said coldly.
"Of course not, this way please." The police officer led the way to a room.
"Please wait here, while I get him." He bowed and hurried out of the room.
Soon, the door opened again, and two policemen led Stephen inside. He was handcuffed, and had his
head bowed.
Immediately they got closer to where Quinn was sitting, she stood up slowly.
'Pakkk!!!!'
A crisp sound echoed round the room. No one had seen the slap coming.
"How dare you Stephen?! How dare you?!" She slapped him again,
'Pakkk!!'
"To think that I treated you like a friend in the past. Hah.... I must have been blind then." Quinn shook
her head in self derision.
Stephen remained silent. He bowed his head.
He was ashamed to make eye contact with her.
Different thoughts ran through his mind. He didn't know what had gone wrong...
His plans had been flawless... So, how could they have found quickly?
"Wow... I must have bad taste in my choice of friends... I must have committed many atrocities in my
past life, to have come across someone like you." Quinn said coldly.
"You caused it!!" Stephen sneered.
Quinn looked directly into his eyes,
"Caused what?" She sat down on the chair.
" I told you to give me a chance, Quinn. But you didn't.... No matter how much I tried to make you love
me. However, your heart was still with this jerk; someone who fucking took advantage of you." Stephen
pointed at Henry who was standing by the side.
He paused to see Quinn's reaction to his words. However, she remained calm, and continued watching
him.
"I love you, Quinn. And I care so much about you. Why can't you give me a-"
He paused. He thought he was mistaken when he heard a light laughter. However, when he looked at
Quinn, he saw that she was actually laughing.
"What a joke," Her face closed up, as she stopped laughing.
"You must have a twisted view of love, don't you think? Listen to me clearly, a person who truly loves
someone, will never hurt the person he loves; no matter what." Quinn said glaring at him.
"But I didn't hurt you. I never will." Stephen defended himself.
"You hurt my daughter, Stephen! You must be a fool, no, more than a fool!" Quinn yelled at him.
"Hurting your daughter isn't hurting you." Stephen retorted calmly.
"Is that what you think?" She slowly got up from her chair, and threw a tight slap across his cheeks.
Stephen's head tilted sideways due to the sheer force of it.
"I pray we never cross paths in this life again... Never!" She stomped out of the room.
Henry looked at Stephen for a while,
"So you are the fool who threatened me? Jerk..." He followed Quinn out of the room.
