Seamus' hesitance was written all over his face. He looked uncertain as though there was a fierce battle going on in his mind.

Should I tell him everything or resist until the end? If I tell him, I may not die, but I'll suffer. Most importantly, the Holmeses will kill me once they find out I'm the whistleblower.

However, I've already revealed part of the truth back in the SUV earlier. If I resist, the Chief Military Governor won't let me leave here alive unless I tell him the entire truth.

Noticing Seamus' hesitance, Nathan said, "When Colin went in pursuit of you, I suppose the assassins that the Holmeses sent had reached you too. If it hadn't been for Colin, you would've probably been dead. Even if you insist on not telling us the truth and I let you walk away unscathed, the Holmeses will not let you see the sunrise tomorrow after you walk out of this door."

Seamus' entire body stiffened when he realized he didn't have a choice.

With a sad smile, he agreed, "Okay, I'll tell you everything."

For the next hour or so, he told Nathan everything-how Hamish had trapped him and hurt his family every step of the way, then finally forced him to tamper with the President's medication.

At the end, he was already sobbing with guilt.

"Chief Cross, I didn't want to harm the President or frame Cross Group. I was at a dead end with no way out."

Nathan's expression turned hard. He had speculated that the Holmeses would fan the flames or cause a commotion about the scandal on Cross Group, but he didn't expect them to be the culprit.

He stared at the sobbing Seamus and said emotionlessly, "The President treats you well, yet you dare to harm him. Where is your conscience? I'm not going to do anything to you in the meantime. Record your statement and take the witness stand in court against the Holmeses when the time comes. You may atone for some of your sins and get to at least stay alive that way. You'd better pray that the President can safely get through the crucial forty-eight hours. If anything happens to the President, you'll pay for your crimes with your death."

Nathan waved his hand and had Colin take Seamus away to record his statement and throw him into a holding cell.
