Both Zion and Jessica then entered the venue with their respective teams and started the negotiation.

While the negotiation process was underway, Jemma was also pressuring Penny, Chance, and the other bosses of Eurasian companies behind the

scenes.

Chance and the other bosses of Eurasian companies gathered at Cross Group that morning, much to Penny's surprise.

She then quickly ushered them into the VIP lounge and had her secretary serve them tea.

"Mr. Fox, what brings you all here today?"

Chance let out a wry chuckle as he replied, "Jemma has been pressuring our companies into accepting Ariarica's unfair terms while the negotiation process is still underway. She insists that we make a decision by today, so we had no choice but to come to you for help. Please advise us on what we should do, Ms. Smith!"

"Everybody, please stay calm. Mr. Lucas is still in the process of negotiating with Jessica. Until they come to a conclusion, we should remain calm and refrain from causing any further trouble. We agreed to put our faith in Mr. Lucas and wait for further instructions after he completes the negotiation, remember?" Penny said.

Chance and the others kept quiet after hearing that.

Suddenly, a woman's cold voice came from the door of the conference room.

"Heh... Your precious Cross Group is on Ariarica's list of companies to be sanctioned, Penny. It's only a matter of time before that happens! As for Mr. Fox and the others, we have to decide on whether we will sanction your companies. Whether or not that happens depends on your performance, so I suggest you all refrain from being an ally with Cross Group here. Penny, you know your company is going down, and yet you're asking others to join you in fighting till the end? Are you trying to take them all down with you? Tsk, tsk... You sure are a heartless person!"

Penny frowned upon hearing that.

Everyone else turned around in surprise, only to see Jemma coming through the door with her subordinates.

"Oh, it's you again. You are not welcome here, Jemma. What do you want?" Penny asked with a gloomy expression.

"Oh, I'm not here for you, Penny. It's only a matter of time before Cross Group gets sanctioned, so I couldn't care less about you at all. I came here to see Mr. Fox and the others because they will get to keep their companies if they accept our terms."

Jemma then shifted her gaze

she continued, "I believe I have told I you all that this is your last day to consider our offer. It's time for you to give me your final answer Will you accept our terms, or will you resist till the very end?"

Chance and the others had troubled looks on their faces as they struggled to make that decision.

"You mustn't agree to such unfair terms, Mr. Fox! Giving in to their demands is equal to tarnishing our country's honor!" Penny exclaimed anxiously.

Jemma sneered. "Accepting the

terms will allow you to avoid being sanctioned and maintain half of your overseas market. Refuse the terms, and you will lose all of it. Who cares about personal honor and national pride? Those aren't going to support your families!"

"A country's honor matters more than anything else! Mr. Lucas is still fighting for our legal benefits right now, Mr. Fox! We mustn't give up just yet!" Penny shouted angrily.

Jemma narrowed her eyes and said

coldly, "Penny, your precious Cross Group is about to be sanctioned. I suggest you don't drag everyone else down, with you. Oh, by the way, I haven't seen your husband Nathan lately Did he get so scared after knowing our might that he has gone into hiding like a coward? Why don't you follow in his footsteps and hide as well? Why bother wasting your energy convincing these people to go against us?"

1'hose words had barely left her mouth when an icy-cold voice came from outside the door.

"Who said I went into hiding like a coward?"

Everyone turned toward the door at the same time, only to see a man entering the room with a tall and strong subordinate.

That man was none other than Nathan, who had just returned from his trip to Remdik.

"Hubby!" Penny shouted excitedly while running toward him.

It pained Nathan to see how pale and haggard she looked. "I'm back now, so just rest easy and let me deal with these clowns," he whispered.
