Meanwhile, Penny had reserved the biggest private room at Golden Lake Hotel, one of Channing's most high-class five-star hotels.

It was meant to welcome Nathan's return as well as to welcome the arrival of Kylie and Zyon.

Throughout the trip, Zyon was caught off guard. It was an eye-opener for him to witness Penny's ride, which was a luxurious sedan that cost twenty million.

Needless to say, Penny was clearly the host of the event.

When Zyon was chatting with Kylie and family, he probed here and there, only to learn that Penny was actually the chairperson of the renowned Cross Group!

That newfound information changed the perception he had of Penny. Thereafter, he started being nice to her and spoke in an ingratiating manner. In fact, he was very eager to butter Penny up.

Hank and Prudence noticed the change in him, but they did not think that there was a problem.

Everyone was under the impression that Zyon wanted to woe Kylie. Hence, he intentionally gave her cousin special treatment.

Lo and behold, Colin sent Nathan a text message halfway through dinner and apprised him that Zyon was not the United Nations Integrated Mission Captain. His real identity was yet to be verified.

One thing was for sure, the two fighter jets used today were not sent by the local military to receive Zyon. Conversely, it was Franklin who sent them to welcome the return of the hero, Nathan.

Much to his displeasure, Nathan knitted his brows.

First, he disliked people who took things into their own hands.

Second, he had his guard up against Zyon. Regardless of Zyon's real identity, the fact that he lied about the fighter jets indicated that he had an evil intention.

Right then, Zyon took up a bottle of wine and was about to pour himself a glass and give Penny a toast.

However, he realized that the bottle was empty.

Feeling rather tipsy, he exclaimed, "Oh, that's fast! We've finished two bottles already."

As the host, Penny was determined to ensure that food and drinks were more than sufficient for her guests.

Hence, she instructed, "Let's have the waiter serve us two more bottles."

Coincidentally, the waiter had just exited the private room.

Kylie offered right away, "Let me go call the waiter."

Zyon chimed in loudly, "Sit down, Kylie. It's a menial task, just ask Nathan to get it from the counter."

He shot a cold and cocky glance at Nathan.

Apparently, Zyon turned green with envy when he found out about Penny's hundred billion worth whereas Nathan was merely a retired General.

He had seen many examples of rich female CEOs marrying poor fellows. Take Samsung from Koandria for example, the eldest daughter married a bodyguard. In the end, the bodyguard betrayed her.

Never in a million years would Zyon have thought that a multibillionaire like Penny would marry a soldier, let alone a retired one. Zyon could not process that fact and felt rather imbalanced.

He had never liked Nathan to begin with; and after a few drinks, he despised him even more.

Zyon viewed Nathan as a kept man who relied on his wife and had no say in the household. Therefore, it came naturally for him to boss Nathan around.

Everyone present was dumbfounded when they heard Zyon order Nathan to get more alcohol.

However, Zyon did not sense that

something was amiss. He blew a fuse when he saw Nathan was still sitting on his seat, having no intention to move a muscle. "Hey; your wife requests you to get more wine! Why are you still sitting here like a statue? Aren't you going to obey her command?"

Then, he turned to Penny and

commented, "Ms. Smith, you're the stunning Business Goddess. Yet, you've married a fool. This is practically beauty and the beast. Honestly speaking, your husband isn't only useless, he doesn't have any common sense too. He can't even serve others. This is utterly embarrassing for you! I strongly advise you to divorce him."

Benson and Leah were appalled at his remarks.

In addition, Hank and Prudence thought that Zyon had crossed the line. As the wise saying goes, one would rather demolish ten temples than destroy

a marriage. Why is he asking Penny to ruin her union with her husband?

Upon hearing that, the color drained out of Penny's face.

Right then, Nathan spoke calmly, "I believe that we aren't enemies, and neither do we have a grudge against each other. Why are you fanning the flames and spewing such hurtful things when my family is hosting you with open arms? Do you have any manners?"

Nathan refuted him with confidence and clarity. Though Zyon was red in the face with fury, he did not regret passing rude comments. On the contrary, he became hopping mad.
