After Nathan ordered Colin to investigate the matter, Penny's phone rang.

Penny took a glance at the unknown caller and froze for a moment before answering it.

"Ms. Smith? Is that you?"

The woman chuckled. "I'm Kendall Culler, a television host for a local televisionwork. I wonder if you know who I am?"

Penny, who seldom watched television programs, knew how famous Kendall was from her mother.

She said politely, "Oh, Ms. Guller! How may I help you?"

Kendall grinned. "You have been the talk of the town lately, so I would like to conduct an interview with you, Ms. Smith. What do you think?"

Penny rejected the offer. "Thanks for reaching out, Ms. Guller, but I don't enjoy speaking to the media and being in the limelight. I'm afraid I have to turn you down. Hope you can understand."

Kendall responded with a subtle smile. "I understand you don't like to be in the limelight. But I'm afraid you don't have a choice."

Penny felt something was amiss upon hearing that remark. Kendall did not seem to be as courteous as she was before.

Penny knitted her brows. "What do you mean, Ms. Guller?"

A corner of Kendall's lips quirked up. Instead of answering Penny's question, she said, "Thomson is my brother."

While Penny was trying to figure out

who the person was, Kylie, who overheard the name, inched closer and whispered in her ear, "Thomson was the guy involved in the car accident two days ago. Nathan gave it to him when he acted like a thug."

A look of astonishment flashed across Penny's face.

So Kendall is Thomson's sister?

It was clear that Kendall called her with an ulterior motive.

Penny began to express her frustration. "So you're the one who spread fake news about me?"

Penny exploded with rage. "Based on the police investigation, your brother was responsible for the accident. Why should we apologize to him when he was at fault? Who are you to make such atrocious demands?"

Kendall replied icily, "Don't forget, I'm in the media industry, and I can destroy your reputation. You have twenty-four hours to think about it!"

She continued, "Thomson and I will

make a trip to your office tomorrow morning. I'lkinterview you to clear your name if you drop your knees before my brother and seek his forgiveness. But if you refuse, live and expose all your wrongdoings in your office. I'm

Penny exclaimed, "What wrongdoings are you talking about?"

Kendall sneered and said, "Have you forgotten who I am? I can easily whip up a few insider stories about you, and the whole world would believe everything I say. As I said earlier, damaging your reputation, to me, is a piece of cake."

The threatening continued, "I wonder what would happen to your company's share price if your reputation is tarnished? You better don't test my patience, Ms. Smith. I'm warning you. Don't cross me."
