Ruined(Eternal Monarch)

Chapter 28

~Rex’s POV~

Rex walked into one of the rooms to take a shower. He returned to his car to retrieve his laptop once he was finished. He walked into the study and sat down. While sifting through my emails, he came across an email from the two men he hired to keep an eye on Juno from afar. The two new students in school today were from the Silver Moon Pack. Rex was well aware that the pack was exceptional and that their alpha was notoriously dangerous. And he was dreaded by the majority of alphas.

Is it appropriate for me to visit him and inquire about Reina? He tossed it aside and entered the room where Juno was.All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

When the door flew open, her towel fell to the floor accidentally because she wasn’t expecting anyone to enter. Rex reasoned that if he took this much time, she would be finished by now. He kept his gaze fixed on Juno’s naked body as she stood frozen as if she had no idea what to do next. When Rex took a step closer, Juno stepped back, concealing her breast. Her body began to shake. When she began to shake uncontrollably, he was taken aback. Rex went to embrace her, oblivious to the fact that she was afraid of him. She was able to relax as a result of their bond. Rex was ablaze on the inside. He wanted to know where the scars on her body were coming from. He had a strong desire to kill someone, but he had no idea who he should target with his rage this time. He was apprehensive about frightening her. He regained his composure and assisted her in settling into bed. Juno felt more at ease now that Rex assisted her with dressing in one of his shirts and drying her hair. He made her some chamomile and lavender tea in the kitchen. Then he added a few drops of passionflower to help her to sleep better. He returned to her room and handed the tea to her. He didn’t want to scare her, but Rex was enraged, and if he stayed and looked at her, he risked frightening her. He handed her the tea and informed her that he would be going to the study shortly. After returning to his study, he sprang out the window, as no one took control of him. Anything could happen, and he couldn’t risk scaring her at this point. He jumped out of the window and started running. He was deep in the woods, looking for someone to kill, someone on whom to take out his rage, but he came up empty-handed. He returned for a quick shower after settling himself. While he was preparing to lie down, he picked up the covers.

Not a chance! No name growled and continued. We are sleeping in bed with her today. After what happened, you cannot possibly be sleeping on the floor. So, get into that bed and go to sleep.

I went to bed, and I saw she didn’t chase me. I slept while hugging her from behind.

“Ladon, It’s my turn now to embrace her.” No name growled.

“You’ve already embraced her,” Ben muttered something.

“Oh, please be quiet; I’m attempting to eliminate all scars,” Ladon growled.

“Ladon, stop. What are you going to say when she doesn’t see her scars tomorrow?” Ben Yelled.

“Shut up, Ben; these scars serve as a constant reminder of her heinous background, and hence I am eliminating everything,” Ladon stated.

While Rex and Juno were sleeping, the rest of the gang were busy turning on Rex’s body one by one. As they desired to feel their mate.

~JUNO’S POV~

On the following morning, I awoke to something pressing up against the core of my being. I registered for the position I was in. Rex’s arms were encircling my waist. When I turned to face him, he was sleeping soundly.

Why am I compelled to kiss him? What is wrong with you, Juno?

Then the voice I had sworn I would never hear again reappeared.

Then kiss him. Rex is our true mate, Juno.

Although I was perplexed, I did kiss his lovely lips. I have no idea why I did that, but I did. His eyes widened.

However, when his eyes opened, I realized I had not kissed him. It was this wolf with no name that was in my brain. My eyes glowed as a result of her. This is just what she did with Alex, and as a result, we lost everything.

Rex cupped my face in his hands and muttered,

“Athena, Athena, my Athena.”

He kissed me with such passion that I gasped for air. He was an excellent kisser. Why is my wolf allowing a man to come in contact with us? She is aware of our history with a man, and now I am engaging in behavior that I should avoid. I opened my mouth to allow him to thoroughly examine every inch of it. When my wolf returned, I interrupted the kiss, but Rex looked at me with such desire that I couldn’t help but stare at him.

“I’m so…”

I knew he wanted to apologize, but I pressed my hand across his mouth. I took out my phone and began texting, but my wolf intervened.

You can speak now.

“What does she want the first word I utter to be the name she just whispered? No, I am not going to do it.”

Juno, He has given you my name; now give him his. It is only fair.

“Alaric,” I said to Rex, who was still looking at me intensely.

His eyelids slammed shut and became completely black. I noticed claws emerging.

Shit!

That is what he said as he leaped out the window and began running. I approached the window but saw nothing. While I am aware that wolves are swift, why is he faster? I am certain I saw wings the other day. Claws are a wolf characteristic. What was it about those golden wings that I saw that night? Is it possible that I imagined the wings? He cannot possibly have both wings and claws, right?
