Chapter 13
Alex’s POV
Argh!
“What is it, baby? Are you a fan of my pussy?”
An explosion of pain exploded from deep within my chest. It was dreadful. I tried to take a deep breath by holding my chest, but I couldn’t. I yelled as I yanked my cock from Bridget and fell to the ground on my knees.
What the fuck is going on with me?
Despite my best efforts, I was unable to stand on my own two feet. Then I was reminded of my son’s hospitalization. Jackson took over before I could make sense of it all.
Jackson’s POV
My eyes welled up with tears as I realized that I had been assigned to an asshole like my human self. I lost my pup because he never wanted to give him one of our kidneys. I’ve always desired to assume command and proceed to the hospital in order to preserve my pup. But every time I tried, I would fail miserably. He was the one who killed my pup. I’m well aware that Juno will never forgive me. I pledged to look after her, but I fell short. I had just let down both my mate and my pup. My Darrian is no longer with me. I am aware that the agony I am experiencing is that of a father. Alex was never interested in our pup. He is completely unaware that, regardless of how many times he fucks that bitch, he will never get a pup. I am aware that Alex and I are one, but my human side is torturous. Darrian was her everything. He was her strength. I hope she does not attempt suicide. I changed into my clothes and dashed to the hospital. I approached Lilian as soon as I saw her. She was inconsolable. She claimed that she attempted everything possible to save her niece, but received the funds too late. She even obtained a donor, but my pup succumbed before they could treat him. I hold no one accountable; I hold myself accountable. Alex took over while I was busy pacing up and down in regret.
Alex’s POV
What the fuck am I doing in this place?
I scanned the area and noticed my sister and Juno’s adoptive parents. I knew my wolf had brought me here.
Stupid wolf!
I noticed my sister Lilian’s outraged expression. Then I noticed my Luna walking into the hospital.
“Are you all right, baby? Your wolf took over and made his way here, so I followed him.”
“Stupid wolf!
“Babe, I’m OK. Everyone, pay attention. When that wimp regains consciousness, I want to eject her from my pack and place her in the streets, where she belongs. Nobody should help her. I will punish everyone who assists her. Even if you are family,” I continued, turning to my sister, “I will not hesitate to expel you from my pack for disrespecting me.” I retraced my steps and returned to my castle.
Rex’s POV
“You should begin by inspecting each pack and seeing how the alphas run their packs. No alpha should abuse his or her position. You will begin in the north, Philip. Every day, report to me. You have the entire month at your disposal. Marcus, you will, as is customary…..NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
Pain burst from within me as if my heart were being dragged out of my chest.
No,
“Scratch that; it felt as if a spear were being placed against my heart. No, no.
Out!
I yelled at my second and third in command.
‘Juno!’
No, please! Not again.
I noticed the two men staring at me as if they had encountered a ghost. They’d never seen me down on my knees before, so that was a first. Fuck! I despise being seen as a weakling or for people to see me in this state, but I cannot let Juno die.
No! Not once again.
I noticed them hurrying outside. The throne room was now mine, and I was the only one there.
“Don’t even think about it, Mother!
I groaned. She didn’t show herself.
“Don’t you fucken dare? enough! You’re going to come out right now and explain. I’m not going to take it any longer. Enough!
I screamed. I didn’t see her.
Mother!
I still didn’t see her.
“Selene! If you don’t tell me what’s happening to my Reina, the world will end with my hand.”
I noticed her majestically walking towards me. She knew I wasn’t joking. I would strangle her today if she wasn’t my mother.
What gives her the right to do this to me? I am her fucken son. I deserve happiness.
Except for me, she has assigned a mate to everyone else. I initially met my mate, and she died. My mother let my Reina die. In the end, I was powerless to help her. Then she informed me that she was going to be reborn and that I would meet her again. When she told me that my Reina would be born 600 years ago, I didn’t believe her. The fact that I had a mate was something I had tried to forget for years. Now my mother is trying to take that mate away again.
Why am I unable to sense her presence again? That is not possible.
“Explain yourself, Selene.”
“You don’t address me in that way, young man.”
“Oh, mother, I’ll talk to you as I want; where the fuck is my mate, and why can’t I feel her? Where the fuck is my mate, mother? If you don’t tell me, I swear, all hell breaks loose today!”
“Your Reina is in good health. Earlier today, I met her.”
“Inform me of her whereabouts. I need to go see her. I’ve been in excruciating agony for the last three years. Mother! Every time she is in pain, I feel it. I’ve had enough of looking.”
“You’re fully aware that things don’t operate like that. Simply be aware that you will meet her, but she will be broken. She has no faith in anyone. That is all there is to it. And put an end to your contempt for me, son.”
“Why am I at the bottom of the list? You are unable to inform me of her whereabouts. Are you proposing that I fuck the entire country?”
“You may fuck your castle maids if you choose. I’m leaving.”
This woman has an uncanny ability to irritate me. Where do I begin my search? Please, my darling, bear with me. I will come to you.
Juno’s POV
I blinked and opened my eyes. I could tell that my eyes had been closed for a considerable amount of time. I took a few moments to look around. I noticed something was strange about the atmosphere. I took a deep breath and shuffled into my seat. Then I noticed an approaching figure. Lilian was the one who appeared.
“Shhh, pay attention; you are not allowed to be here. When you’re moving, do your best to avoid making any noise. If you are discovered, I will be in serious trouble.”
I glanced to my left and saw my mother, father, and Cynthia.
“You have been expelled from the pack, Juno. “Alpha gave the order,” Cynthia remarked.
However, my gaze is fixed on my parents. They are averting their gaze away from me. Their pupils and cheeks are dilated. As if they’ve been crying for an eternity.
“Can you tell me how you’re feeling, baby?”
My mother inquired. I searched the room for my notebook and eventually found it under the pillow. I responded in writing.
“Empty.”
I noticed tears streaming down her cheeks. She was unable to look at me. I wrote once more.
The discomfort has subsided, but why do I feel so empty?
When I showed them, they simply exchanged glances. My blood immediately froze. I re-wrote.
Where is Darrian? Was the transplant successful? Is he all right?
I showed them. Nothing was uttered by anyone.
Could someone please say something? Is something wrong with my baby?
When my father touches my hand, my thoughts are already spiraling out of control.
“Juno, baby Darrian, Darrian didn’t make it. He succumbed before they could assist him. They arrived far too late. He’s gone, honey.”
