Chapter 845
There were countless masters of divination scattered across Jipsburg. Denton didn’t need Alexander for the job.
Even if there was a negative item, some of the state’s more famous masters could resolve the matter.
Vera was afraid Denton wouldn’t take Pamela’s advice and hold on to his beliefs. In that case, she would try to soften him. Then, she’d invite Alexander
over.
She wasn’t expecting Denton to ask for a master for them right away. She sighed in relief.
It would be the same thing no matter who settled it. There was no need to ask for Alexander’s help. Doing so would get Skylar’s attention too.
For the Ruell family, finding them a master wasn’t a difficult task. Within an hour, they found the man for the job.
He went to Denton’s house and looked through it. Then, he headed to one of the residences of the other Ruells. It took the whole day. In the end, he found nothing.
“I apologize for my incapability. All of your residences are in great places. I found no issues. The interior decorating was excellent. As to what happened recently, it might just be a coincidence. However, I’m not sure,” he said before leaving.
They told Denton what he’d said. He was silent for a long time.
Upon hearing the news, Vera paled. She asked, “Grandpa, should we ask Mr. Gardner Senior about it?”
Denton looked horrible. It was clear he was down in the dumps. If this had happened before today, he would’ve given up. But now…
He was silent as he hesitated.
Alexander was highly revered in Jipsburg. Thus, when the Ruells began asking
for help, he’d heard about what was going on. He’d been told the master’s
verdict as well.
Before getting off work, he called Skylar over.
“After so many things, the Ruells still haven’t made sense of the situation. In
the past, I didn’t think Mr. Ruell Senior was a stubborn man insistent on traditional ideals. Now, it’s clear! He won’t be giving up till the last minute,” complained Alexander with a frown. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Skylar said, “They’ll be befallen with more accidents.”
Alexander furrowed his brows and remarked, “It looks like they won’t be getting past this crisis easily.”
No one in Jipsburg would dare to argue against his word. He remained insistent on his moral principles, and this made him respected wherever he was. Yet, Denton thought he’d been fibbing.
“It’s almost time to get off work. You can leave first,” Alexander told Skylar.
She agreed and left his office.
Ten minutes later, she was about to leave when Alexander called.
“Skye, Mr. Ruell Senior called. He finally believes that there’s a negative item in the Ruell family. He wants us to take a spin at his place now. Do you have time for that tonight?”
Skylar wasn’t expecting Denton to come to his senses so quickly. She thought they would struggle for a little longer by asking more masters to look through
their house.
“Mr. Gardner Senior, I have two conditions for the Ruells if they would like my help. One, they’ve got to pay us 20 million for it. Two, Vera will apologize to me in person. If they agree to these conditions, they’ll do as I order. After that, I’ll head over whenever it’s convenient for them.”
After hearing Skylar’s words, Alexander was silent for a moment. Then, he asked hesitantly, “Did Vera do anything to you? Don’t worry, I’ll talk to them about it.”
After hanging up, Alexander said with a frown, “Skylar wouldn’t demand an apology for no reason. Vera must’ve pissed her off.”
When Denton came back after Alexander’s call, he looked extremely displeased.
He glared at Vera and said, “Didn’t you say that Skylar was a flirt who tried to seduce Joe, Aiken, and Rowan? She also tried to seduce Mr. Gardner Senior, right?”
