Richest Mogul 1241
Chapter 1241.
After Edwin’s phone call woke her, Skylar lost all desire to sleep. So she picked up her phone and casually scrolled through social media, where she stumbled upon a trending topic. It was news about Claudio.
It was filled with all sorts of negative information about him. Some people even posted videos, tearfully claiming that Claudio had a small member and had STDs. Several others confirmed the stories with their own posts.
The topic had been trending since eight the previous evening and was still going strong.
Claudio had issued a statement defending himself and even sent out legal notices, declaring,
his intention to find out who was behind these accusations.
But after the statement came out, it was met with a flood of evidence exposing him further. People even shared proof of how he used his company to engage in illegal activities.
Claudio hadn’t been well–known in Jipsburg previously. He mainly relied on the benefits brought by his family name, using the Martin surname to throw his weight around.
But now, seeing the news about Claudio, the bad mood from Edwin’s call earlier lifted
completely.
However, Skylar figured that Claudio must have offended someone. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be possible for so much dirt to surface overnight, especially with evidence that involved legal
infractions.
This wasn’t just a matter of someone hating him. It couldn’t be as simple as a disgruntled woman seeking revenge.
Whoever was behind exposing Claudio, Skylar thought they were doing something good.
Soon after, someone posted a photo of Claudio being taken away by the police. He had been
taken in for questioning overnight, which suggested that the evidence the public had exposed was indeed legitimate.
After checking her phone for a while, she set it down and thought about what Edwin had said
earlier.
Women and children were haunting him, making it impossible for him to sleep. It likely wasn’t just about some evil spirits.
As she pondered, Skylar found herself slipping back into slumber.
When she woke up in the morning, she reached out to Caleb, asking him to accompany her to Edwin’s house. Given Edwin’s character, she knew she had to stay vigilant.
However, she needed to personally inspect any possible supernatural elements. Lately, there
had been frequent occurrences of such phenomena, and she felt they might be somehow connected to Joe’s disappearance. She didn’t want to miss any clues.
Caleb picked her up by car. When he learned that Skylar would be leaving for Murida the next day, he hit the brakes hard. “Weren’t you supposed to stay at least a month? Why are you leaving so suddenly?” novelbin
Skylar smiled and replied, “Grandma hasn’t been well recently, but I’ll come back in two
months.”
Hearing about Gloria’s health, Caleb became a bit worried too. In recent years, he had noticed that his own grandfather’s health wasn’t as good as it used to be either.
Soon, they arrived at Edwin’s villa.
Even before entering, Caleb frowned and said when he stood beside Skylar, “Why does it feel so cold all over? This villa gives me a bad feeling.”
Skylar glanced at Caleb and handed him a red string bracelet. “Put this on.”
Years ago, she and Joe had visited this place. Back then, it didn’t have this unwelcoming aura.
Over the driveway, she noticed that none of the other nearby villas gave off this sense of unease. Only Edwin’s villa had such a repelling feeling.
Just as they were about to enter, a drunken Edwin and a young woman in her 20s came
stumbling out.
“You’re finally here. Hurry up and check what’s going on inside.”
