Richest Mogul 1134

Joe asked, “Have you been waiting for me?”

“I haven’t been awake for long. I made some chicken soup. Do you want some now?” She headed toward the kitchen, and Joe followed close behind.

Joe stood just behind her in the kitchen. Neither spoke, yet there was a peaceful and calm atmosphere between them.

Skylar handed him a bowl of chicken soup, their eyes meeting briefly. They shared a small

smile.

An hour later, Howard arrived, giving Joe a quick check–up. Once he confirmed everything was fine, he left.

Not long after, Paul showed up with a few contracts. They were documents Joe needed to review and sign that day.

Joe went straight to the study to get to work. He was finally done by 3:00 pm.

Later, they cooked dinner together at home. Just like that, the day passed.

Before bed, they spoke on the phone with Gloria. Then, Skylar got a call from Alexander, who had a job for her to look into the next day.

The next morning, Joe fully recovered and went back to work while Skylar went to meet

Alexander.

His friend had contacted Frank, hoping to get Alexander’s help finding Skylar. They had sought her out for help identifying whether any of the family’s antiques were linked to negative items.

In their circle, people were passionate about collecting antiques. However, with the recent surge in cases involving negative items, collectors were growing increasingly anxious.

The elder’s collection wasn’t large. After examining ten or so pictures, Skylar concluded there was nothing wrong with them.

Nevertheless, the elder insisted on transferring her a fee for her services.

“The person

behind the negative items has gone quiet recently. I had people investigate

Kevin, but news has yet to come up. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“It’s been too long, and those from the older generation who might have known about Viola having a brother are no longer around.” Alexander sighed with a hint of sadness.

Worrying that the conversation would upset him, Skylar reassured him. “We’ll figure it out. He’s secretly made moves for so long that he’ll slip up eventually. Moreover, we’ve already confirmed that Molly is one of his people. If we follow her trail, we’ll get some answer.”

“True,” Alexander replied.

“If this person doesn’t reveal themselves soon, Joe will take action against Molly. But it’s possible she’s just being used and may not even know who’s behind everything.

“We’ll take it one step at a time. Now that everyone thinks you and Joe are divorced, you have a chance to rest for a while. Once you’re ready, you can return to work,” he added.

At his age, Alexander knew that no one in his family was capable of carrying on his legacy, so he had already decided to leave it all to Skylar.

Without Viola back then, Alexander wouldn’t even be here today. Leaving everything to Skylar felt like paying it forward for Viola’s kindness.

But he couldn’t tell her yet–she would refuse. First, he needed to get his will in order.

After leaving Gardner Group, Skylar met up with Minerva. Minerva had reserved a table at a restaurant, and they arrived almost at the same time.

They had just sat down and hadn’t even ordered when someone walked toward them–it was

Rowan.

“What a coincidence,” he said with a smile.

Minerva’s face turned cold the moment she saw Rowan, and completely ignored him. Rowan’s smile froze in place, and his expression shifted awkwardly.

The situation became tense quickly.
