Richest Mogul 1113
Chapter 1113
Carl nodded and said, “Yeah, Herman showed the pendant to me when he brought it back from abroad.”
Winona suddenly remembered and replied, “I recall now. He had indeed brought it back from overseas. I thought he had put it away, but I didn’t expect he would keep it on him.”
Upon hearing their words, Lizzie immediately walked over to Herman. Herman had already been laid on the bed by the maids. He was completely unconscious, his face devoid of color, showing a sickly pale complexion.
She then opened his collar and revealed a crescent–shaped white emerald pendant before her
eyes.
“Skylar, come over and look,” Lizzie called out to Skylar.
Skylar nodded and walked over. As soon as she saw the pendant, her brows furrowed, Her voice turned cold and sharp. “Don’t touch it.”
Lizzie was about to take it off, but as soon as she reached out, she heard Skylar’s suddenly cold voice. Her hand froze in mid–air, and she didn’t dare to move.
But then her eyes widened in realization. “Could this be the reason my brother has become
like this?”
“What?” Carl and Winona exclaimed in unison, astonished that something as ordinary- looking as the emerald pendant could have such an influence.
“Is it really this thing? He said he just liked it and paid some tens of thousands of dollars for it, “Carl responded.
If something worth tens of thousands of dollars could bring such significant change and harm to Herman, then it must be a negative item.
Skylar nodded and said, “As expected, it should be this. Please help me get a pair of scissors and some red thread to wrap around them.”
“Okay, I’ll get it.” Winora hurried off to search for the scissors and called a nearby maid to
fetch the red thread.
Skylar examined Herman closely. Although he had temporarily lost consciousness, he had a tight frown. His entire being seemed tense, like he was on the brink of collapse.
His hands were tightly clenched as though he were resisting something terrifying.
As Skylar looked at the pendant, she was haunted by chilling visions. A mountain of young girls, all lost to a sacrificial ritual.
They had been defiled by a man who then brutally murdered them. In just three days, 20 girls
had died, their blood completely drained.
The orchestrator of this horror drank their blood, and the pendant around his neck was the same one lying before them. It was filled with resentment and hatred of countless young
women.
In the end, the man died a horrific death, losing control of his mind. Each night, he was tormented by the vengeful spirits of those he had harmed.
Skylar closed her eyes for a moment, forcing these haunting images from her mind. When she opened them again, her gaze returned to the pendant.
At first glance, it appeared to be a beautifully crafted pendant, its quality exquisite. However, at the curve of the crescent, a subtle seal was etched into it–one that might be overlooked by an untrained eye.
To someone unfamiliar, it might appear to be a flower. But to her, it was a deathly sigil. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
It was no wonder that Herman had transformed into a different person over the past year continuously sought ways to end his life.

“Do you think my brother will be okay?” Lizzie asked,
