Richest Mogul

Richest Mogul 1090

Chapter 1090

As soon as Jenny finished speaking, she leaned toward the edge. It was as if she would really plummet from the rooftop with a slight bend.

Seeing this, Skylar warned, “The wind is too strong. You’re putting yourself in real danger.”

From Jenny’s actions, it was clear that she knew this wouldn’t lead anywhere.

Crying, making a scene, and threatening to jump from a building only worked on someone who still loved you. For someone who didn’t care anymore, it was useless.

Skylar believed that someone as clever as Jenny would realize that fact.

Jenny saw that neither Joe nor Rowan attempted to stop her, even though she had threatened to jump off the building–they remained cold and indifferent.

She knew then that no matter how much she threatened, Rowan wouldn’t change his mind. Feeling desperate and dejected, she stared intently at Rowan.

“Do you really not care? Are you really going to just stand there and watch me die?” she asked.

Rowan remained silent. His attitude was clear, but her drama wouldn’t work on him.

Joe looked down and said to Skylar, “Let’s go.”

Skylar nodded and took a glance at Jenny.

There was no point in staying there. Jenny had called them to confirm certain things–perhaps to see if Skylar was heartbroken or to see if Joe would show her some pity.

As for Rowan, Jenny probably wanted to know if he still had any lingering feelings for her. If he did, he wouldn’t be able to stand by while she threatened to jump.

As the two left, Jenny noticed them. She wanted to stop them, but meeting Joe’s cold, unyielding gaze, she knew it was pointless to say anything. So, she pretended not to see them go.

Turning back to Rowan, she pleaded, tears streaming down her face, “Rowan, didn’t you say you loved me? Why can’t I see that at all?

“I’ve already humbled myself, begged you, and now I can’t even live without you. Why won’t you forgive me?

“I was wrong. If I had just been honest with you from the start and asked for your help, maybe we wouldn’t be in this situation right now. I was wrong, Rowan. Please forgive me. I can’t lose you.”

She shifted her stance to a softer one.

Rowan only replied with a cold gaze, “This is getting tiresome. I know you won’t jump and not going to jump as well. My conditions still stand. Text me after you decide.

“By the way, there are cameras up here. Everything we’ve, said has been recorded. If you keep this up, it’ll just get even more pointless.” NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

“You!” Jenny’s face turned pale, her expression changing dramatically.

Then, she suddenly burst into laughter.

“I’ve lost everything! I have nothing left! Rowan, you really know how to toy with people. Your family knew everything about me, down to the very last detail, but they waited until the perfect moment to reveal it to you–right when I thought you loved me when we were about to get married.

“That’s so cruel! And Edwin Martin–I addressed him as Mr. Edwin, hoping he would help me, but instead, he drugged me and assaulted me again and again. I thought I was smart, but in the end, I lost everything!”

She had no way to win Rowan back now, and all she had left was the threat of suicide.

Rowan’s expression became complicated. After all, he had loved her for many years, and it wasn’t easy to let go completely.

“Leave Jipsburg, start afresh, and stop scheming. That way, you won’t repeat your mistakes. Jenny, you’ve already gotten more than enough.”

But Jenny muttered to herself, as if she didn’t hear Rowan’s words. “Leave Jipsburg? Leave Jipsburg! I don’t want to leave. Everything I’ve ever dreamed of is here. Where can I go if I leave Jipsburg? You don’t want me anymore–what am I supposed to do in the future?”
