Richest Mogul 1082

Chapter 1082

Steven, Charles, Skylar, and Harvey loved eating strawberries.

When Skylar walked in, she immediately caught the sweet aroma of the strawberries and swallowed hard. She said, “Sounds good.”

She then proceeded to share some details about her situation with Joe. Both Steven and Janine were shocked by what they heard.

Steven asked, “So, you and Joe aren’t planning to divorce?”

Skylar replied, “That’s right. After careful consideration, we’ve decided not to divorce. However, we can’t be seen together publicly for now. Once the people behind the negative items trying to harm us are revealed, we’ll announce our marriage.”

Steven was already aware of the negative items and the people behind them. He could only tell Skylar, “If you need anything, just let me know.”

Janine added, “As long as you and Joe are doing well, I’ll handle the rest. Don’t worry, I won’t share anything about you and Joe with anyone.”

Just as she finished speaking, Skylar’s phone rang. She glanced at the screen and said, “It’s Charles.”

“Charles seems busy today. He mentioned he has an event to attend and might receive an award. Why is he calling you?” Janine remarked.

Skylar had heard that Charles was quite serious about the event today. She pondered how he could be so busy yet still find the time to call her. She answered the phone. “Hey, Charles.”

“Skye, I just saw Lizzie, and she’s several times less attractive than you. Trust me, Joe’s taste is seriously off right now. If he’s making bad choices now, his judgment is probably compromised. We should keep our distance from such a man.” Charles’s voice came through the phone.

Skylar couldn’t help but laugh at the coincidence. Lizzie was also attending the same event as Charles today.

She had put the call on speakerphone, so both Steven and Janine heard what Charles said.

They both exchanged glances, slightly speechless. If Skylar hadn’t shared her situation with them earlier, they might have joined Charles in bashing Joe.

“Focus on your event. Don’t worry about all this nonsense for now. After the event, when you have some time, give me a call. I need to discuss something with you,” Steven said first.

Surprised by Steven’s words, Charles responded, “You’re home? Alright, but have to say, it won’t sit well if I don’t speak my mind. Skylar deserves a better man. Joe isn’t good enough for her. I’ll call you guys. later after I finish up.”

Charles was someone who had clear distinctions between love and hate. If it hadn’t been for Joe helping him out with his earlier situation with Felicia, he might have said even harsher things.

Skylar knew Charles’s character all too well.

At this awards ceremony, he won the Best Supporting Actor award. This was the first award he had received since entering the entertainment industry.

After being in the industry for so long and remaining relatively unknown, he had finally reached this

significant milestone. He thanked the company, the organizers, and his agent, but he emphasized his gratitude toward his family the most.

As he walked off the stage, his eyes brimmed with tears. Once he was seated again, thoughts of Skylar filled his mind.

Then he remembered Lizzie, who was sitting behind him. He turned around sharply, his gaze cold as he looked at her. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

Lizzie was not unfamiliar with the entertainment industry. She had been invited to the event, where she was supposed to perform a short piece.

At first, she sensed someone staring coldly at her but couldn’t tell who it was. Besides, her name had been trending on social media, likely due to jealousy from others, so she didn’t pay much attention to it.

But then she suddenly realized that a male actor–the one who had just won an award–was staring at her. She wondered what his name was. Was it Charles?

Right. She remembered now. It was Charles.
