Revenge After rebirth (Mayra and Anderson)

Revenge 147

Revenge 147

“Andy…” As Mayra walked closer, she saw Anderson, who was nearly 50 years old, still impeccably dressed in a suit. He was holding a decayed, skeletal corpse tightly. This corpse was none other than Mayra, who had been dead for many years.

Mayra looked at him with the same sorrow in her eyes. When she saw the pain in Anderson’s gaze, she couldn’t help but lower her head in sadness.

Why did she feel upset as well?

“Andy, if you really cared about me, why did you give me away? Andy, are you crying? Are you sad because of me?

“No, that’s impossible. I harmed Isabel’s unborn child; your only child. You said that it would have nothing to do with you even if I were to die outside. You wanted me to repent and atone. How could you possibly be looking for me?”

When Mayra woke up, she was greeted by the unpleasant smell of disinfectant. Staring at the white ceiling, she wiped the tears from her eyes with an expressionless face.

For a moment, she felt disoriented.

It was just a dream.

A nurse came in to check on her and noticed that she was awake. You’re awake, young lady. How are you feeling? You’re very weak. You had a gastrointestinal bleed and were unconscious for a whole day and night. You also have malnutrition and low blood sugar…

“Now that you’re awake, you should eat something.”

Mayra looked at the intravenous infusion hooked up to her hand. Her eyes were red, which made her appear very aggrieved. Her long hair

covered her delicate and pale face as she hung her head in silence.

After the nurse finished examining her, Mayra asked weakly, “Can I leave the hospital?”

“That’s not possible. Your grandmother is in the ward next door. She’ll be over shortly.”

Grandmother?

When did she have a grandmother?

Just as Mayra was puzzled, someone appeared at the door.

“Ms. Sadler, you’re awake?”

Mayra turned her gaze away, ignoring the person. When the last bottle. of the intravenous infusion was finished, the nurse pressed a cotton pad with alcohol to her wound.

“You have the wrong person.”

Caroline, a long–time maid of Sonia, had been with the Barlow family for over 40 years.

Mayra knew that Caroline was not a bad person. Caroline had treated her fairly well in her previous life.

Caroline, carrying a thermos, walked in and placed it beside the bed. “I spoke to Mr. Anderson on the phone. He’s very concerned about you. You can call him back later.”

The phone by Mayra’s bedside was already out of battery.

“Weren’t you going to have me arrested?” As Mayra spoke, she smelled the delicious oatmeal. Her stomach growled, and she clutched her aching stomach.

Caroline took a spoonful of oatmeal and brought it to Mayra’s lips. “I know you’ve been wronged. Madam Sonia did what she did out of necessity. Many things happene uring the 12 years when Mr. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

Anderson was missing.”

This kind voice was the same voice she had heard in the middle of the night.

Had Caroline been the one taking care of her all night?

“If you truly realize your mistake, you should resign from the company and go back to Aflaria with your shameless mother. Never show up again!”

Mayra heard Sonia’s angry voice from outside the door.

Caroline tried to reassure Mayra. “It’s about Ms. Hailey.

“Ms. Sadler, remember that there are some things it’s best not to know. And if you do know, it’s best not to say anything…”
