Chapter 102.

Aisha’s POV.

The loud banging on the door jolted me awake, and I groaned as I sat up in bed. My head was throbbing, and my eyes were heavy with sleep. I had barely slept for three hours and now this? Ughhh!

I dragged myself to the door, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. My hand reached for the doorknob, and I turned it slowly. The door creaked open, and I blinked as the bright sunlight hit my eyes. A figure stood on the other side, silhouetted against the light. I shielded my eyes, trying to make out who it was.

The figure on the other side of the door came into focus, and I was surprised to see that it was Aurora. My initial surprise was replaced by annoyance, and I felt the urge to slam the door in her face.

“What do you want?” I snapped, crossing my arms over my chest.

“I brought your food to your room,” she said, and I noticed the tray of food in her hands. My brow furrowed in confusion.

“Why?” I asked, my gaze piercing. “Like why would Nelly tell you to bring my food to my room?” I asked, my voice growing more impatient.

“My lady doesn’t want to see your face,” she replied, her voice quiet and hesitant.

My jaw clenched, and I felt my face flush with anger. Nelly had never been so angry before, and I couldn’t understand why she would send Aurora to bring my food instead of coming herself. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. If I reject this food, I would definitely die of hunger. I need to swallow my pride now.

“Fine,” I said, “I’ll take the food.” I reached out and took the tray from Aurora’s hands, my fingers trembling with frustration.

Aurora bowed and left, and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. I watched her retreating figure and wondered what Lily had found out about her. She had only gone a few miles when she turned around,

our gaze met and smiled at me, I let out a hiss as I turned and closed the door, leaning my head against it and sighing in frustration.

A few moments passed before I finally moved away from the door and walked to my dressing table. I placed the tray of food on the table and stretched my arms over my head, yawning widely. I felt exhausted, both physically and emotionally.

I looked in the mirror and saw the dark circles under my eyes. I shook my head, the image in the mirror only reinforcing my exhaustion. I trudged to the bathroom and splashed water on my face, hoping it would revive me. After brushing my teeth, I heard a soft knock on the door.

“Come in,” I called out, but the knock came again. I sighed in exasperation and called out more loudly, “Come in!” But there was no response. I rinsed my mouth quickly and went to the door.

I opened the door, but there was no one on the other side. I supposed it

one of the maids who had knocked, but had gotten distracted and left. I went back to my bed and picked up the tray of food, taking a few bites.

The food was delicious, but my appetite was gone. I had hoped that this morning, we would all be able to work through our issues, but it seemed that Nelly was bent on fighting. I felt confused and overwhelmed. I took a sip of water, but started to cough. I swallowed too fast.

The door burst open and I turned, fully expecting to see Nelly. But instead, Harry stood in the doorway, a look of concern on his face.

“Good morning,” he said, his voice gentle. I could only muster a mumbled response. He closed the door behind him and came over to me.

“Are you okay?” he asked, concern etched on his features. I shook my head, unable to speak. My mind was reeling, and I couldn’t make sense of anything. Harry reached out and put his hand on my shoulder.

“What happened?” he asked, ki sing my forehead.

I looked away from him, not wanting to meet his gaze. He gently took my chin in his hand, forcing me to look at him.

“Is it Nelly?” he asked softly. I nodded, and his brow furrowed in concern. “You both are still fighting?”

he asked, and I shook my head.

“She’s obviously fighting with me, not me fighting with her,” I said, my voice heavy with sadness.

He smiled reassuringly and caressed my cheek. “Just speak to her, even if she’s the one fighting you, okay?” he said, and I nodded in agreement, I wasn’t in the mood to talk or argue.

His lips met mine in a hard, passionate kis*s. I lost myself in the moment, my wolf craving her mate. But then he pulled away, and I let out a frustrated groan.

“Sorry, babe,” he said, “I have got a lot of work to do today.” I rolled my and he laughed. “Don’t be like that,” he said, winking at me. I smacked him hard on the chest, and he winced.

“Ouch!” he said, standing up as he adjusted his clothes. I gesture for him to come forward and he leaned, I fed him pasta, after three spoons, he raised his hands in the air.

“I need to go,” he said, his mouth filled with food. I gave him a smile and nodded.

“Best of luck dear,” I whispered and we hugged.

I watched as Harry left, and couldn’t help but smile. He was right – I needed to clear the air with Nelly. I changed into a simple gown and tidied up my room, leaving the food on the dresser.

With a deep breath, I made my way to Nelly’s room. My fingers fiddled with my hair, twisting it around my fingers. I took a deep breath, resolving to remain calm, no matter how stubborn Nelly might be. I knocked on her door and waited.

I knocked on Nelly’s door again, but there was no answer. I pushed the door open and peered inside, but she was nowhere to be seen. I knew exactly where she would be, though. I headed in her direction, and from a distance, I spotted her.

Her back was turned to me, her shoulders hunched. I could see her body trembling, and ached. I knew I had to talk to her, even if it would be difficult, I let out a weary sigh.

I rushed over to Nelly and put a hand on her shoulder. She flinched at my touch, but when she saw it was me, her face relaxed.

“Is everything okay?” I asked, but I got no response, instead she pulled me into a secluded corner, her eyes wide and fearful.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, and she let go of my hand and I stretched it. She turned around to check if

anyone was coming, it was at this moment I knew whatever Nelly had to say wasn’t good at all.

“I can’t turn into my wolf,” she said, her voice shaking. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
