time, but it’s

I took a long bath this morning because I was sore. I had no iden you could have sex with two men at the same time safe to say I enjoyed it way too much. Both brothers were gentle with me, and the thought made me blush.

After my bath, I had breakfast in my wing. Yes, I have my own wing as the Luna Queen of this kingdom. It is so unbelievable that most of the time I think I will wake up in that tiny hut with the other slaves, ready to start our day.

Life with not one, but two mates has been too good to be true, but I heard from a maid that it is called a healthy relationship. I have befriended my lady–in–waiting. Halle, because she is with me all the time, and she is a nice girl, though. older than I am.

“You are looking radiant this morning, Your Majesty,” Halle complimented with a small smile on her face.

“Thank you,” I blushed again, knowing everyone knew what goes on behind the closed doors with two handsome males.

There is something different about you this morning, Your Majesty. Don’t you feel it?” Halle added after a small pause as she adjusted my corset.

“No, I don’t. I just get happier day by day if that counts,” I beamed, making her shake her head with a chuckle.

I was accompanied to the main wing for lunch by guards on both of my sides. The giddiness within me to go find my mates. almost made me trip on the carpets. The feel of sandals on my feet feels weird and uncomfortable. I’m still getting used to

While passing by the Royal Mother’s wing. I heard Nolan’s voice. A smile widened my face as I went there, but halfway through. I realized that their conversation was a private one, though I have heard most of it.

With a shrug that it has nothing to do with me, I continued to the dining hall, knowing they’d join me in a minute. Instead, I found another lady sitting there with short hair cut to her shoulders, tight dress that clung to her curves. She was breathtaking

I approached the girl to say hello, she glanced up briefly before returning her attention to the device in her hand, which resembled a phone.

Ignoring my greeting, she seemed absorbed in whatever was on the screen, dismissing me with her indifference. Her lack of response and dismissive attitude left me feeling slightly put off unsure of how to proceed.

Rowan wheeled into the dining room, his regal attire accentuating his presence. Spotting the woman, he beamed and hastened over to her side, leaving me momentarily forgotten

With a fond embrace, he greeted her, expressing his delight at her unexpected arrival.

“You weren’t supposed to be here until two days later,” he said, a mixture of surprise and pleasure in his voice, but I’m glad for the surprise.

The woman looked puzzled as she observed Rowan’s wheelchair–bound state, her confusion evident in her furrowed brow. “Nolan said you could walk now? Why the wheelchair?”

With deliberate slowness, he rose from the wheelchair, the transformation from seated to standing leaving me utterly stunned

Before I could fully process that Rowan is standing on his feet, the woman let out a delighted squeal and threw herself into Rowan’s arms, planting a passionate kiss on his lips right before my eyes. And he kissed her back.

I stood there, my heart shattered into countless pieces, each one echoing with pain. My gaze lingered on the scene before me, unable to tear away from the sight of Rowan and the woman in each other’s arms.

Nolan entered the room and headed straight to Nora, when I thought he might offer some comfort or explanation. He tenderly kissed her forehead, expressing relief at her return.

Nora spoke and Nolan was able to HEAR what she was talking about leaving me shocked and confused. The weight of the moment left me feeling utterly lost and alone. What is happening here? I couldn’t voice it out. I was invisible to them right

now.

“Wha–what is going on?” I stuttered through a thick log in my throat.

“Who is she?” Nora asked dismissively, her eyes taking me in with distaste.

“Oh, our about to be ex–mate.” Nolan grimmed and turned to face me with eyes so ruthless I thought I might die of heartbreak this instant.

Nolan and Rowan turned their attention towards me, their expressions hardened, and I felt a knot tighten in my Their voices, once filled with warmth, now dripped with cold finality as they spoke.

stomach.

“It’s clear now, Nesta,” Nolan’s voice cut through the air, devoid of the warmth it once held. “You are not our mate anymore.”

Rowan’s gaze, once filled with tenderness, now bore into me with a chilling detachment. “We were mistaken,” he stated, his words like a blade slicing through the air. “You are not meant for us.

I should have expected something like this from a reality that was too good to be true. I should have seen it coming because nothing good lasts forever. Clearly something happened to them and they are now both healed. Or they were never diGbled. I don’t care.

They have betrayed me! All those things I heard him talking about with the Royal Mother was about me and Nora was his mate. The one that rejected him. Betrayal so hot and deep made my eyes blurry.

“Rejection, accepted.” I said to them though I can’t even see them and with that I ran out of the dining hall and bumped into the Royal Mother who only looked away.

I didn’t stop running until I was far away from the palace. I collapsed on the floor feeling something stirring in my stomach. I unknot the right corset around me to make sure it wasn’t hungry. But I could feel it more. Halle’s words came back to me from this morning.

I was pregnant… with their child.
