Chapter 34

Azrael's POV

Seeing Alexandria's big smile made my heart flutter and stomach churn, I couldn't help but feel

overwhelmed. I am so happy for her, this is the first time that I have seen her so happy.

How I wished my parents were alive too, but I know better. I hope they are watching me from heaven,

guiding me throughout my journey together with Alexandria.

I know I am selfish to my whole pack but I just couldn't let my mate go. I'm willing to sacrifice everything

for Alexandria even if it costs the trust of my whole pack. Of course, I have to ask for forgiveness from

the whole pack. I hope they understand me. It felt like years since we were traveling and leaving

everything behind. I haven't even heard from Matthew. I am getting anxious too because I couldn't

mindlink him. I guess it's because of the distance we have.

"Sabrina, are you okay?" I heard Layla ask in a low tone. I looked at Sabrina and it seems like she's in

deep thought. She's startled by the mention of her name.

"Ah---yeah, I'm okay…" she murmured and I saw her taking glances at the Queen. Since we met the

Queen, she's been staring at the Queen as a wave of nostalgia hit her. I know the Queen noticed but

she just gave Sabrina a knowing smile. I feel like the Queen knows something the way she also stares

at Sabrina.

All of us were silently eating while Alex was busy with her food. Sometimes, I put food on her plate and

she ate all of it. I wonder where she put all the food. It's like she didn't eat for days and starved herself.

Well, we haven't had decent food for a while and I think Alex is very hungry, especially because she

had four spirits within her.

It's very entertaining watching Alex eat all the food she laid eyes on. She didn't even care we were

watching her.

The King and Queen have this huge smile on their faces while looking at Alex. They were amused by

the sight. I don't know what they've discussed a while ago because it took them awhile for their private

talk. Based on Alex's face, I know something good had happened.

After eating, the King and Queen introduce Alex to everyone at the table that she is their daughter.

Everyone's faces lit up like they were anticipating Alex's arrival and they were giving Alex compliments.

The young boy stood up and ran towards Alex with a wide beaming smile.

"Are you my big sister?" the young boy asked which made Alex smile sweetly and nodded. The young

boy squealed and hugged Alex which made her giggled.

Afterward, everybody at the table asked about Alex's eye colors and powers. They were very interested

in Alex, being a five genes hybrid. They were even surprised to know that Alex had four spirits within

her.

"Tomorrow we will introduce our daughter to everyone. Mauro, gather everyone at exactly 10 in the

morning." the King said and the tall werewolf man nodded and said, "Yes, Your Majesty."

After some words from the King, the others strutted out the dining area, leaving us.

Alex looked at me then smiled in which I returned with the warmest smile I could muster. She held my

"Mama, Papa, I would like to introduce you to my mate," Alex uttered and my throat went dry. Alex's

sensed my awkwardness and pressed my hand. The King and Queen divert their attention onto me.

I quickly stood up and bowed my head as a sign of respect, I cleared my throat and spoke, "Your

Highness, Your Majesty, I am Azrael Shepherd, the Alpha of Shepherd Pack and I am Alexandria's

mate." after I said that I heard them gasp in surprise.

They eyed me intently which makes me anxious. My heart beats at a quicker rate because of

anticipation.

"Tell me, are you the son of Laura and Diego?" the King said and I creased my forehead. Did they

know my parents?

"Yes, that's my parents. You know them?" I was still confused.

They nodded their heads yes. "Laura and Diego are our friends. I'm sorry for your loss." I frowned and

images of my parents lying on the ground lifeless flash in my head.

Alex pulled me back to sit down and stare at my eyes. Staring at her eyes made me relaxed and the

images suddenly vanished.

Someone cleared their throat and it was Sabrina. We all looked at her. But her eyes were fixated on the

Queen. "Why do you look like my mother?" Sabrina blurted out confused.

The Queen stared intently at Sabrina and gasped. "E-Elisha? Is that you?"

Huh? She called Sabrina, Elisha?

On the other hand, Sabrina was shocked, causing her to stand up while looking at the Queen. "H-How

do you know my name?!" she staggered. I'm so confused now.

The Queen stood up and walked towards Sabrina teary-eyed. "Oh dear, I'm so sorry." she paused while

scanning Sabrina from head to toe, "Last time I saw you, you were just 8 years old. Don't you

remember me?" the Queen said and Sabrina froze while staring intently at the Queen in front of her.

The room filled with silence while we were all staring at Sabrina who seemed lost in her thoughts,

reminiscing about her past.

Until I saw Sabrina's tear-streaked down on her face. "Do you remember me now, my niece?" the

Queen asked, which made us all gasp in shock.

Sabrina is the Queen's niece? Does that mean Sabrina and Alex are cousins? Wow.

Sabrina sobbed while nodding repeatedly. "Auntie…"

The Queen nodded and engulfed Sabrina in a tight hug. "It took you long enough to find me. I'm sure,

Esmeralda, told you to come here." the Queen uttered after the hug. Sabrina wiped off her tears while

smiling.

"She did but I was so overwhelmed being the Queen of all witches that I forgot their wishes. If not for

Alex, I wouldn't have remembered mom and dad telling me that if I wanted answer to go to Tibbertan

Mountain and I wouldn't also be here." the Queen giggled while caressing Sabrina's hair.

"I'm glad you and Alex came here together." the Queen uttered.

Sabrina smiled, "I missed my mom so much. She looks like you…"

Sabrina said while tears were streaming down her face. The Queen just smiled and wiped Sabrina's

tears on her cheeks.

"Then, Sabrina is my cousin?" Alex blurted out which made the Queen and Sabrina look at her.

"Sabrina?" the Queen asked with furrowed eyebrows.

Alex nodded, "Yes, that's what her name is in the human world. She doesn't want us calling her real

name in public." Alex explained and Sabrina nodded in agreement.

"Oh okay. And yes, she is your cousin." The Queen uttered while smiling widely. Alex and Sabrina

smiled at each other knowingly.

"Now I know why I feel like we're connected because we are," Sabrina uttered while smiling.

Alex also introduced Layla to the King and Queen who also knew Layla's parents.

"Do you know why our parents were murdered?" I suddenly blurted out. The King and Queen looked at

me then to Alex, Sabrina, and Layla.

They let out a sigh and nodded. The King spoke in a low tone, "Let's talk about it in my office." We all

nodded but the King diverted his gaze to Lucia and ordered her to go rest for the night. Lucia said yes

and strutted out of the dining room but before that, she bowed at us especially to Alex since she

already knew that Alex is their Princess.

Alex and I walked side by side while following the King and Queen.

The young boy nudged at my arms and then smiled widely, "So, you're going to be my big brother?" he

whispered and I smiled at him then nodded.

5 minutes later we arrived in front of the gold plated door where two knights are guarding the entrance.

They quickly opened the door for us to enter.

I scanned the whole room, a desk sat elegantly at the side with two leather guest chairs in front.

There's a big pile of books on the walls and an elegant white couch sat alluringly on the other side of

the rooms. We all seated while the King and Queen sat opposite us.

The King cleared his throat and eyed us. "First of all, we know you are all here for answers. And we will

be willing to answer all of your questions." we all nodded.

"So, why our parents being murdered? Do you know who the killer is?" I asked without wasting any

time just for the silence.

The King and Queen let out a heavy sigh, "They died because of protecting us." The King started and

we gasped, especially Alex.

"All of your parents warned us about our enemies' plan all the time but it looks like someone found out

that they're our spy in that association led by the Demon King and Queen. We wanted to help them but

it's too late. Our enemies moved faster and eliminated all the people that betrayed them. They were

killed that same day but Laura and Diego manage to get away from the murderer. After that, they told

us everything that happened but of course, the association finally got a hold of Laura and Diego five

years ago."

I clenched my fist tightly. That association killed my parents. I will not ever forgive them. I looked at

Alex when she held my hand and smiled at me soothingly. I slowly relaxed my fist and smiled back

faintly.

The Queen cleared her throat, "I know you wanted to know who the murderer is."

"Yes, we want to know."

"It's Lucian, the Beta of Blueming Packs."

"What?!!" Alex and Layla blurted out in unison.

"He was the secret upper hand of the Demon King. They thought we wouldn't find out but we managed

to get their little secret. Lucian was secretly watching you for a long time, Alexandria and Layla

because he thought that one of you is a hybrid but it frustrated him when neither of you shifted. And

with no evidence, he couldn't go the Demon King to tell him that one of you was a hybrid and that

frustrated him more. We have people watching Lucian behind his back but Lucian finds out and

murdered every member of the Blueming Packs. Only one of my men returned alive full of wounds and

reported what happened that night."

I clenched my fist and tightened my jaw. We let traitors in my pack. Now, I am anxious about the whole

safety of the pack.

"He was the only one who treated us differently in that pack. He even treated us well and gave us

food." Layla said and clenched her fist.

"Because he's trying to get your trust."

Alex looked at me in worry. "Lucian is in my territory," I said anxiously.

The King and Queen looked at me with a frown.

I'm in my bed while staring at the white ceiling. I couldn't sleep because I'm worried about the whole

pack. F*ck Lucian!

I groaned and got up. I slowly made my way out of my room I am staying in and a dim hallway greeted

me. It was now 11 o'clock and it was expected that everyone was asleep now except for the guards on

duty.

I made my way to the back gate and a guard looked at me sleepily.

"Where are you going?"

"To the garden."

"It's night time, you should go back to bed."

"I couldn't sleep. Please. I will go back in after an hour, I just need fresh air."

"Sorry, but I cannot let you out. It's not allowed to go out if it is not an emergency." the guard said

sternly. I sighed. I guess I'll go back to my room.

"Let him out." I gasped when I heard a familiar voice from behind me and I turned around to find

Alexandria in her white nightgown. She was beautiful. Suddenly, my heart beats rapidly.

The guard greeted her and apologized. "Thank you," I said and smiled at her. She smiled back and I

was startled when she held my hand and dragged me out. I just silently followed her voluntarily. Her

intoxicating scent filled my nostrils and she smelled so damn good. Her hair smells like vanilla and

lavender.

"You can't sleep too?" I asked.

"Yeah. I'm also worried about your pack. Lucian was still there and I'm afraid of what he will do to

everyone." she said back while sighing deeply.

"I hope everyone was alright. I wouldn't forgive myself if ever something bad will happen to them

because I'm away." I said while my eyebrows furrowed together in anxiety.

When we reached the garden, we sat on the bench and smiled at the view. The whole garden is

enchanting. There were a lot of fireflies lingering around and the glow of the moon illuminating the

whole place. This is like a perfect set up for us. The sight made me relaxed a bit and decided to set

aside my thoughts for a while.

I was focusing on Alexandria's heartbeat that was in sync with mine. We were just silent while looking

up at the almost full moon. Next week is the blue moon appearance and it made me anxious. I didn't

expect a war when we came here. But, I guess I couldn't avoid it. It will happen even if I don't want to.

"Azrael, we need to make sure your whole pack is fine," Alexandria said and looked at me. Our gaze

met and stared at each other's eyes for a few seconds. I nodded.

"Will you come with me, Alexandria?" I asked and I'm getting nervous about her answer. She was still

staring at me until her lips formed into a thin line and nodded.

"I'll come with you, Azrael. I can't let you go alone," she said and that made my heart jump in

happiness. I thought she would reject my offer.

I smile at her in relief. "Thank you, Alexandria." she smiled and then leaned her head on my shoulder.

This feels so nice. It's like the world is ours and it is so peaceful. I wished we would stay like this

forever.

The bond between us is getting stronger and unstoppable. My wolf Khael is anxiously waiting to finally

mate with our mates. I'm also dying to mark her mine.

"You wanted to mark me?" Alexandria suddenly blurted out and looked at me with a smile. I gulped and

swallowed my saliva.

I looked at her puzzled. Did she read my mind?

She chuckled and stared at me. "I didn't read your mind, it was just so obvious the way you fidget in

your seat and I always notice you glancing at my neck."

My face flushed red but I shrugged it off and grinned. "Honestly, I wanted to mark you right now,

Alexandria," I said while staring straight at her eyes while glancing at her neck. I saw her swallow her

saliva and her heart beats at a quicker rate.

The moon that was illuminating Alexandria's face made her more appealing to me. She's become more

beautiful at night. Her skin like the glass was glowing and I saw her eyes glow a little.

I was lost in her eyes and drowned deeper and deeper. It's like she can see through my soul, her eyes

darkened a bit and I saw her biting her lips. And damn! It was so sexy and my heart went wild again. It

was pounding like crazy. Khael was making noise inside my head and hyperventilating.

I don't know who leaned in first but our faces were now inches apart. Her lips parted a little while her

chest was heaving up and down in anticipation. I was staring at her lips then back to her eyes.

Suddenly, the surrounding was fading and all I could see was her. I only focus on the noise that our

hearts made which is pounding in synchronization.

When our face is just an inch apart, we both slowly close our eyes and our lips finally meet. A jolt of

electricity ran through my spine that made me shiver. Our lips were just pressed together, not moving.

Her lips were so soft and her intoxicating scent made my head fuzzy and dizzy.

I moved my lips slowly and passionately which she returned with the same passion. I snaked my arms

around her waist and she wrapped her hands around my nape. Our lips were still connecting and

moving in sync, her sweet taste made me want for more and the tension between us is getting higher. I

kissed her tenderly and gently, not to scare her away.

We parted our lips in need of air. I pressed our forehead together while panting for air and she was

breathing heavily. I kissed the tip of her nose and I saw her close her eyes while smiling. When she

opened her eyes, our gaze met and we smiled sweetly at each other. This is our first kiss together and I

will cherish this moment forever.
