"You do?" For some reason, I believed her. I could feel that the person
She laughed. "What's the fun in telling you?"
before me was no ordinary werewolf. "Who am I?"
Then, I remembered that I had not greeted her and I bowed my head in greetings immediately. "Aunt Freya, greetings."
I should have addressed her as madam, but for some reason, Aunt Freya, seemed more appropriate to me.
She looked away from me and looked at Emma whose shoulder was wrapped by Luna Rita's hands. "Aren't you the cutest? You're all grown now."
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "Why would she say such a thing? She has never met Emma before now, has she?"
Luna Rita's eyes lit up as still as they met mine. She smiled at me and I smiled back. I bowed my head in greetings. "Luna Rita, Alpha Leo, greetings." "Greetings, dear child," Alpha Leo replied.
"They are no longer the Alpha and Luna of this pack. Call them by their names," Aunt Freya said jokingly and everybody laughed. Luna Rita, on the other hand, walked up to me and touched my cheeks.
She smiled at me. "You should refer to us as Elders. That is what past Lunas and Alphas are called. We are Elders now." Unlike when Zara touched me, I felt great warmth when her skin touched mine. "You remind me so much of an old friend," Rita said and my eyes lit
up.
"I do?"
She nodded. It was strange. She seemed too familiar.
It might sound crazy but my past might be linked to this place. I looked at Zara, who was at one corner now, watching us. She was the key to knowing my origin.
Rita followed my gaze and her eyes fell on Zara. She raised an eyebrow. "Who is that?" She asked in a whisper.
"My aunt," I replied.
"Your aunt?" She frowned. "There's something about her."
"I just got to know about her today," I said and she nodded.
"Oh, I see." She brought her mouth close to my ears and whispered. "Be careful. There's something off about that she-wolf. I speak from experience. Don't be as stupid as I was."
I saw Zara frown. It was only for a split second, but I caught it. Then, she walked out of the corner she was in and everybody's eyes were now on her.
"Greetings everyone, I am Elaina's aunt and-"
"Elaina's aunt?" Leo interrupted, then he turned to his son. "I thought you said Elaina has no family."
"I did," Atlas replied. "However, today, this she-wolf came in here and claimed to be Elaina's aunt. She said that Elaina's parents died from a mysterious sickness when Elaina was much younger. She said she took care of Elaina from a tender age and then she went missing. According to her, she has been searching for Elaina all her life until she found out that Elaina was here."
"And how did you find Elaina?" Leo threw the question at Zara.

"I have a warrior friend in this pack. His name is Owen. You can ask around about him and find out if he knows who I am. He told me about finding a Blondie on his way to the pack with the other warriors. According to him, they dyed her hair black and brought her to the park. She had whispered to them that her name was Elaina unconsciously. Because Elaina used to be blonde, I decided to check if it was my Elaina and it turned out to be her."
Leo did not look satisfied and neither did I. Nobody in the room did, but we said nothing. I did not know about the others, but me saying nothing did not mean I was accepting this aunt. It was not just told to strike.
Dinner time came and we all had dinner together, including Zara.
Aunt Freya kept on talking about her healing adventures. The particular one that was of interest to me was how she was able to heal werewolves with moon sickness. It was something that was almost impossible to do and Aunt Freya being able to cure a werewolf with moon sickness was just amazing.
After dinner, I somehow found myself alone with Atlas. I went to the garden after dinner and Atlas joined me later.
We were both strolling around the garden without saying anything to each other.
"That Zara. Why did you ask me to let her stay?" Atlas asked, breaking the silence between us. He sounded like he knew that I did not believe her.
"She is my aunt," I answered.
He nodded and said nothing to me.
"She claims to be my aunt, but I feel more connection with your mother's aunt than I do with her."
Atlas smiled. "Anybody who does not like Aunt Freya is not just a good person."
It was my, turn to smile.
"Did she say anything strange to you?"
For him to ask such a question, then it must be a normal thing for her to do so. "Yes, she did. Why did you
ask?"
He shrugged. "Aunt Freya sees things we normally would not. My advice. Pay heed to her strange words. Though sometimes, she says stuff like that to scare people. It might be nothing deep.
"I wish she was a relative of mine," I said absentmindedly.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
"Well, if you become my Luna, she will be your relative by marriage."
I looked at Atlas sharply and he scratched the back of his head nervously. "Okay. The joke went wrong. I'm sorry."
"For rejecting you too," He added. "I will just be sincere. I rejected you because I vowed to never get a mate until I find someone and-"
"I'm glad you rejected me," I interrupted. "Being Luna is a lot of work."
My heart squeezed in pain a little.
I let out a small laugh. "Too bad for you, you no longer have a chance to make Aunt Freya my relative."
We both laughed and then our eyes locked. Her laughter dissolved and the only thing remaining was an awkward silence between us.
I looked away immediately I got myself and Atlas did the same.
"I will take my leave now." He pointed away awkwardly. "I have Alpha duties to attend to."

Without waiting for my response, he left and I sighed in frustration. Moments like this was something I dreaded.
"Why were the both of you gossiping about me?" I jumped back when I heard Aunt Freya's voice.
"Aunt Freya, greetings."
She frowned. "I thought we have gone past formalities like this. Or, are you no longer planning to make me a relative by marrying Atlas?" My face turned red. "That was a joke."

"A joke?" She laughed. "Well,
