Chapter 57

Alvira stormed out of the room the minute she told Rygan that she was still going to fight for him no matter what. She hated to see that Elise was still on his mind even after the baby was announced.

She couldn’t contain the anger in her heart when she left the moonhouse. She tried hard to keep a kind and gentle facade. from the wolves who bowed at her. They still all believed Alvira was a saint.

The minute she got into Beddor compounds, her anger knew ng bounds. The family servants already knew about her secret tantrum, and they all tried their best to keep away from her chambers when tarted.

“Alvira, dear, you have to be patient, her mom Adeline started, but Alvira didn’t want to listen to what she was concerned to say. She stops in her tracks, her eyes laced with tears and fury, as she shouts at her mother.

“Mother, can you leave me alone? I thought I specifically told the exact words to say to Rygan to let him finally let that woman leave this pack, but now it’s all ruined” She screams before slamming her door.

She walks deeper into her chambers, her hands trembling in anger as she wishes she could just get rid of Elise. “I want her gone. I want her gone!” She screeched as she paced back and forth in bitterness.

And all the more, she was furious that her plan with Rygan hadn’t worked today; she had secretly planted another pill in his drink, but he spilled it this time, and for sure, he was more careful around her after their first time together. Or if he knew what she did.

“This shouldn’t be happening: it’s my ceremony soon, and I still have to worry about that snake t from mell” She muttered

She reached the wine tray in her room, quietly dousing the remains of what was left in the bottle down her throat threw the bottle to the wall, watching it shatter into a million pieces while she screamed, “Damn it! Damn her! I need to think of something.”

She mutters nervously while biting her nails. She sets up a lantern by her window, opening it up and leaving it there for a signal to her informant. She needed to speak to them.

While she waited, she locked herself in her room all day, crying and drinking herself to sleep. The next evening, she woke up groggy

ggy when she heard a knock on the door.

A letter was slipped under her door, which Alvira immediately dug for. She read the contents as the location of her masked informant.

She makes sure the whole house is asleep before she wears her hooded cloak, desperate to have a word even if she was warned not to be alone with the masked stranger.

She takes the secret flight of stairs in the manor and takes the back roads into the woods, a horse waiting; she couldn’t risk. leaving her scent or imprint as she races silently out of the pack’s territory.

She makes her way to a tavern on the outskirts of the Black Moon and Blue Crest pack borders. She turns her head. take a peek at the third floor and sees a similar number of lanterns by the window,

She was already familiar with the rules of the rundown yet quiet place, so she hurried up the steps and into the farthest

The dark–lit interior of the warm room had her alert as she slipped into the room. “It’s only you? You didn’t come with your mysterious partner this time? What is wrong? He didn’t want to show his face. He doesn’t know you’re here, does he?” A voice called with a mocking tone that echoed from the opposite wall.

“It was urgent, Fitz,” she calls to the male who comes out of hiding. He brings down his hood, and it’s the assassin from the Dark Knight pack, the male who almost took Elise, Kyren’s minion, and she was his informant.

“I told you not to call me by my real name… What do you want that was so important, my lady?” He says this to her, leaning beside the window post.

Tell Alpha Kyren to stop his plan; I don’t want him at my wedding; there has to be another way; Rygan hardly trusts me anymore, even if that bitch Elise.”

“I cannot tell my master Alpha Kyren what to do; he is… uneasily manipulateil, Lady Alvira,” he says with a snarl. “And he wouldn’t hear my words from it, especially since he doesn’t know the reason; unless I tell him you are the spy, then he might listen, he suggests.

“I told you no word gets out to Kyren that I’m helping him; more people could find out that I’m involved, and I don’t want that!” She hissed with a harsh whisper.

“Very well, that was our deal, and I do not break deals, but you have to be careful with your words,” he warns,

“Are you forgetting the person who told you the coordinates of where she was after those humans took her?” She snarls.

“Oh, I won’t forget that. I lost my brother after your Alpha brutally killed him, and it took a miracle for me to escape his wolf. Rygan is a beast; that is why we must tread lightly or else.” He calls darkly.

“It’s all because of that bitch Elise that is why I told you I would find another way. Don’t threaten me; I’m the one you should be trusting!Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Trust you?” The assassin chuckled darkly. “You can’t even trust yourself to keep a fake pregnancy; imagine what would happen if Rygan found out you were lying,” said Alvira, who was shocked.

What? How did you?”

“Oh, please, you smell of expensive wine, and anyone could tell you’ve just had a ton to drink!” He says it with a dark chuckle. Alvira touches her stomach, her eyes glazing with fury that she has been found out by Fitz.

By the wicked look in his eyes, she took it as a threat already that he could tell anyone about her fake pregnancy. “Have you! also forgotten who helped you with the poison to kill that lousy Delta Rygan caught?” He had so much dirt on her to spill. and Alvira swallowed in panic.

“Ill do what we planned. Alright? Your alpha can enter our territory; I will make sure he can, and I will look for a way to get Elise alone with Kyren,” she says to the assassin. His evil grin spreads in contentment.

That’s more like it; it’s been a pleasure doing business. I will await your word at the ceremony, my lady,” he calls with a mocking bow before he jumps out the window and into the darkness of the silent night.

She knew she had to find a way to get Elise alone and be taken by Kyren before Rygan found out. She had to find a way to trap her and get rid of Elise.

And she was going to do just that. She swears at it.
