Chapter 130
The battle had begun the moment Rygan and Elise rushed past the once heavily guarded. hallway of the east wing, which had fallen eerily silent with no guard in sight.
But Elise could detect her father’s ashy scent from a mile away. Rygan gave her one last look. “Be careful,” he noted before he raced down the hallway to his target while Elise headed in the opposite direction.
She should have known it was far from peaceful when she saw two suited men run up with guns and begin shooting at her. She reached both males at lightning speed, but they could barely react as she clawed at their arms, with them both screaming in agony as they heard at c**k, their arms crushed on impact.
A cold queen with no mercy, only a quest to destroy anyone who tried to stop her fire from reaching her goal, she pushed the large white doors, staining them with blood on her hands. as she walked into the room.
It was eerily silent, but from the pheromones of her ex-father’s potent scents, she knew the monster was here, lying in wait for her to drop her guard down so he could attack.
On the bed, she saw two human women whose faces and eyes were wet with tears as they raised their trembling arms in surrender. “Please! Please! Don’t hurt us. We are innocent; we want to live!” They begged Elise the moment they saw her bl**dy hands.
“Get the hell out now,” she warned as they quickly ran from the bed, covering themselves with bed sheets before they raced out of the room. Now the room was eerily silent as Elise looked around for Dexton’s hiding place.
“Arghhhh! You b**h!” Dexton roared, springing out of his hiding place with a claw ready to strike Elise, but she dodged it.
“You are such a coward; I let you off easy by leaving with a hand, but you just had to ruin my life again,” she snarled, getting a rise out of him, his eye twitching and vein popping in anger.
“I should have killed you that day so that you would have joined your mother,” he snarled. Elise’s eyes were cold and merciless as she retracted her claws.
“You should have; now I’ve been reborn as a powerful monster, and your life ends here,” she declared, but Dexton attacked first, taking a hidden silver dagger this time as he lunged for her.
But Elise was quick; she caught his hand, slamming him to the wall with Dexton screaming out when she twisted his wrist, the knife still wielded in his hold. As Elise pushed and pointed the silver dagger to his throat, “You wouldn’t dare,” he muttered out.
But it was very clear this was no longer the old weak Elise. He watched her gaze and saw there was no mercy or hesitation as he began to panic as a blood-curdling gargle left his throat. “Please, daughter, think about this; think about how I raised you! I am your father.”
“Did you listen when my mother begged for her life before you snapped her neck? I doubt it,” she muttered darkly.
She looked at the man she recalled as her ex-father and how he made Elise and her mother live in fear of him, but now he was just a weak man, a loser. “No one will remember you; no one will love you,” she muttered as the knife was pushed into his throat and blood began to gush out.
His throat slit open and his mouth gargled with blood, his eyes red and bloodshot with horror as Elise watched life leave him. She watched as his lifeless body slid down to the floor, till no breath rose from his chest, and she knew her work was done and her vengeance for her mother had been paid.
She heard a loud crash as she immediately left the room, heading for the hallways where Rygan had parted. With each step to the silent halls, she had expected to hear anything but her silent hallway. She peered over to see the large floor-to-ceiling window had been shattered. And she heard snarls outside.
Her heart pounded as she raced to it to see Rygan and Kaide down, both shifted to their wolves as Elise called out to him. “Rygan!*
*Search for Ethan now; I’ll take care of this b**d,* he sends, and Elise knew that this was his battle, and now she was going to end hers.
She was going to make Alvira regret her very existence.
As Rygan reached the west wing in search of Kaide like a predator on a hunt for its prey, mind was shrouded in blood lust.
And For the past few hours the alpha spent in that cell, Rygan had imagined how he’d kill Kaide for all the things the bastard had done to them. For what he’d done to Elise and his son. The explosion from the lighthouse had spread to the main house, and everything was going up in flames, and he had to act fast.
“Kaide! He roared with a howl as he snarled, smelling the familiar pheromones of his beta, who walked out of his hiding place, his eyes ridden with anger.
“I knew my day was too good to be true; hello, brother,” Kaide called.hearing that word felt unsightly to Rygan as he lets out a snarl.
“So don’t call me that, you filthy b***rd; you betrayed me, all of us, and you crossed the line by harming my son! I will make you pay!” Rygan snarled.
“Not if I kill you first!” Kaide muttered before his canine and claws speared out, his bone cracking as he shifted into his dark brown wolf, snarling deeply as his claws dug into the ground like a bull ready to kill its prey.
But Rygan’s rage knew no bounds as he raced headfirst. They collided in a brush of canine. and claws as both of the wolves wrestled and pushed until both of them fell out of the large wide that crashed and both fell into the courtyard. The edges had started burning, but none of them cared as they were both laser-focused.
Both of their claws and teeth were sharp, ready to attack. Kaide lunged first, his claws nicking Rygan’s skin on the first attack; it didn’t surprise Rygan knowing they’d grown up as brothers and they trained together, so he knew his moves.
This time Rygan attacked back with a brutal blow. Kaide knew Rygan wasn’t fully healed and took that to his advantage; his claws latched to Rygan’s shoulders as he sank his canine into Rygan’s shoulder.
The alpha roared in response, flipping them over till Kaide’s back connected to the ground, and his wolf yelped in response. Rygan’s next attack was quick and ruthless, and his jaws clamped up on Kaide’s throat.
“This is for everything you’ve done, all the lives you have ruined,” he snarled. “This is for Ethan and Elise!” He growled with a deeper bite to the beta’s neck.
He watched as the beta thrashed for release, his eyes wide and pleading, but Rygan had not room for his heart, even for the male who claimed to be his brother and could still commit all those atrocities; he could not look past the pain he’s caused his mate and child. He couldn’t forgive him.
And with one agonizing crunch, Kaide’s body stopped fighting back, and his heartbeat stopped. “Goodbye, Kaide,” he muttered as he howled out his victory-yes, deep loss-but now he needed to focus on what’s important; he needed to go back and help Elise.
But Rygan wouldn’t expect the scene he would meet when he got there.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
