Chapter 187 You Are Overthinking It
In the
past couple of days, Aaron had been quite upset due to Luna and felt hesitant at the mere thought of going to the hospital.
Seeing Aurelia take off on a carefree vacation, combined with Melanie’s words, he felt that Aurelia was being excessively unreasonable.
Thus, he immediately sent her a private message on Twitter.
He wanted her to return as soon as possible, claiming that she was being extremely unfilial and that she would suffer divine retribution if she continued to neglect her dutics.
After sending the message, the two didn’t wait for a response. Aurelia was surely sleeping at this hour and wouldn’t check her phone.
The two of them slept soundly for half an hour.
Then, Spencer returned home.
Upon entering the house and ascending the stairs, he abruptly halted as he passed by Aaron’s
TOOM.
Haven’t Aaron and Melanie already come home?
Why is his door left open?
He yawned, struggling to keep his eyes open. Sleeping in the hospital was far from restful. He was supposed to head to the film set after dawn, but the director suddenly told him not to come and that there were no scenes left for him. Even though this TV series wasn’t that big of a deal to him, the fact that they just dismissed him like this left him unsettled. How was he supposed to face his friends in the industry from now on?
How would he explain this to his fans?
Hence, he felt the need to find out about everything. There was also the call he had just received from his agent, mentioning that they were replacing him in the ad shoot that was originally scheduled for the next few days. It seemed as though he was running out of work lately.
Thinking back on it now, everything was a complete mess.
As he pondered over this matter, he found himself inexplicably entering Aaron’s room. Seeing the big bed empty and the quilt neatly spread over it, he snapped back to reality.
Did Aaron not come home?
Still, he didn’t dwell on it much longer. Aaron had a demanding job and could’ve possibly been working overtime.
The night sky was pitch black.
Chapter 187 You Are Overthinking it
Nancy lay in bed, unable to sleep.
She had been trying to sleep since half pas
nine, only to be plagued by insomnia.
Finished
She tossed and turned.
Glancing at the time, it was already four in the morning, with dawn just around the corner.
She turned on the light and grabbed her phone, intending to check if there were any messages.
In reality, her phone wasn’t on silent. If there were any calls or messages, she would have heard them. Unfortunately, the phone remained quiet all the while.
She still couldn’t help but check, clinging onto a shred of hope.
There was not a single update from Justin.
He was genuinely so busy that he increasingly overlooked her existence.
Nancy took a deep breath, calming herself before she began scrolling through her Instagram. Coincidentally, the first post she saw was by the renowned actor, Ambrose, sharing that he had just wrapped up his work.
Nancy could hardly believe that she had managed to gain access to the man’s private Instagram
account.
Moreover, she could see his circle of friends there.
She had assumed that he would not allow her to view his private social media updates. Unexpectedly, the famous actor had accepted her follow request.
After some thought, she gave his post a like.
Then, she continued to scroll down.
Not many people were posting at this hour, but since her current state of mind was somewhat unsettled, she decided to stay on the social media platform.
She was restless, which was why she found herself aimlessly staring at her phone.
Suddenly, a notification popped up. She checked it excitedly, thinking it was from Justin. To her surprise, it was Ambrose!
Ambrose: Just woke up?
For a fleeting moment, Nancy thought she was hallucinating. She quickly responded: No, I just can’t sleep.
Ambrose: Insomnia?
Nancy: Indeed!

Ambrose: Something on your mind?
Finished
Nancy gazed at Ambrose’s caring inquiry. If it had been before, she would have been beyond. excited, but her mood was heavy now. After some hesitation, she replied: Yes, I’m troubled by some stuff. But all my worries have disappeared now that my idol’s actually concerned about me! I’m going to sleep now and won’t wake up until lunchtime!
Inside his MPV, Ambrose glanced at the text on Instagram and chuckled. She really was a girl who could find happiness in the smallest things. Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
Ambrose: Sweet dreams.
Nancy: Thanks! They’ll be filled with you, Mr. Stark!
Ambrose burst into laughter.
Seated next to him, his manager, Harlan, heard him laugh. “What’s so funny?” he asked, curious.
“A fan was being amusing,” Ambrose replied with a chuckle.
Harlan immediately widened his eyes in alarm. “You’d better not have any other ideas. You can’t exploit your status as a movie star and toy with your fans‘ bodies and emotions. Do you have any idea how many celebrities have fallen because of this? If you have needs, get yourself a proper girlfriend. Aren’t all the actresses and singers you’ve recently been working with interested in you? Why don’t you start seeing one of them?”
Ambrose was a man in his thirties who never really had a girlfriend since he might have been too focused on his career in the past. But now that he had reached the pinnacle of his career, it wasn’t surprising if he began yearning for certain things.
Being a man himself, Harlan understood.
Ambrose was speechless. “She’s married.”
“D*mmit! How irresponsible could you be, getting involved with a married woman?” Harlan taken aback. “So, you’ll either do nothing or go all out?”
Despite having worked tirelessly for an entire day and night, the sudden fright had completely wiped away any hint of sleepiness he had.
Ambrose’s lips curved upwards slightly as he rolled down the car window to gaze at the early morning streets. There were hardly any cars around, and an unusual feeling of tranquility permeated the air.
“Say something! If you don’t answer me, I won’t be able to sleep tonight.” Harlan was anxious.
Finally, Ambrose spoke up. “You’re overthinking it.”
Overthinking? Harlan simply had a keen insight unique to his profession.
He could inexplicably pick up on some clues.

Chatting with fans without any reason, and even laughing at their texts?
Finished
Why doesn’t he laugh with those glamorous actresses? He’s also hardly ever looked amused on variety shows, no matter how funny the hosts were.
Even if he did laugh, he was obviously just doing it out of politeness. There was never a genuine, heartfelt laugh like the one he just did.
The following day, Aurelia had initially thought she would be going to the airport alone.
In the end, Matthew suggested they head back together.
She asked in surprise, “Has Ms. Souza’s condition stabilized?”
“Yeah, everything’s fine. If anything happens, Gordon will arrange for her to be taken back to Jacaster for treatment. He’ll also be staying here for a couple more days,” Matthew replied swiftly.
“That’s good. We still have four hours before our flight. Should we go out for breakfast or call room service?”
“Let’s get room service.”
“Okay.”
After having breakfast together, Aurelia went downstairs to a local specialty store and purchased a few unique items.
Then, they set off for the airport.
Matthew’s phone wouldn’t stop ringing as they went through security.
Aurelia cast a glance over.
After passing security, Matthew finally answered his phone.
“Are
you already at the airport, Matthew?” Zoe’s regretful tone came through. “It’s a shame I can’t see you off”
Matthew simply uttered two words blandly, “It’s fine.”
Aurelia quietly trailed behind, pulling out her phone to send Nancy a text.
Aurelia: I’ll be boarding my flight in less than an hour. Look forward to receiving some souvenirs.
Before even a minute had passed, Nancy replied: Hurry back, hurry back, hurry back! I’ve been waiting anxiously for you!
It seemed as though Aurelia could envision the eager look on Nancy’s face.
When she was done chatting, she took another glance at her Twitter feed.
