“No!” Melanie exclaimed.
No, absolutely not!
That video absolutely couldn’t be seen by Aaron.
Seeing the state of panic and fear, Aurelia was truly delighted. She leaned against the wall, her fingers opening the photo album.
“Mel, what…. what video are you keeping from me? And Aurelia, what on earth are you. Aaron asked.
to?”
Melanie was absolutely livid with Aurelia. “Aaron, it’s nothing, just some videos involving private
matters.
“A private video?” Aaron began to feel suspicious.
However, he quickly believed Melanie and turned to accuse Aurelia. “How could you possess a private video involving Mel?”
“Is it a matter of privacy? Why don’t you take a look for yourself?” Aurelia retorted.
Melanie’s eyes widened, watching in disbelief as Aurelia was about to play the video.
This was a hospital, specifically right outside the operating room. It was deserted, with only their family present. If any sound were to emanate, it would certainly be heard loud and clear.
Melanie’s body trembled violently in terror. “Aaron, it’s really nothing, the video isn’t important. I overreacted, it has nothing to do with Aurelia. It’s all my fault!”
“But your brother isn’t too convinced.” Aurelia said as she found the video and handed her phone to Melanie to watch.
The video that hadn’t yet been played was paused at the hotel room number.
Melanie’s face had turned deathly pale, and with a hint of terror, she pleaded, “Aaron, believe me! I really did overreact. Please, go wait over there. The surgery could end at any moment. I’ll talk to Aurelia.”
That detestable Aurelia!
She had never been so humble in front of Aurelia before.
Nor had she ever acted like this in front of Aaron and the others before, taking all the blame upon herself.
Previously, the mistakes were made with the intention of making Aaron and the others dislike Aurelia, to misunderstand her.

But things were different now.
Her current priority was to ensure that Aaron didn’t misunderstand Aurelia, and she had to be careful not to upset Aurelia.
Given the sharp contrast between the two, how could she possibly not be flustered?
“You seem quite scared, Mel,” Aaron said, worry etching his features. “I’m here, you don’t need to be afraid. You can tell me anything.” He was deeply concerned about Melanie.
Aurelia lazily lifted her eyelids, casting a glance at Aaron.
Why did it seem like there was a subtle shift in Aaron’s attitude toward Melanie?
“Aaron, I’m not scared, really. I was just chatting with my sister. Can we not delve into the topics. girls discuss? Is that all right?” Melanie was particularly exasperated.
She was truly on edge, her eyes fixated on Aurelia’s fingers. She was terrified that with a single tremble, Aurelia would accidentally release the video.
“It seems your brother doesn’t believe me, thinking I’ve been bullying you. Such an interesting video we have here, why don’t we invite your other two brothers and your father to join us and see for themselves?” Aurelia asked with a light chuckle.
She had never seen Melanie so panicked, so terrified before.
“No, don’t! Aaron, please go away. I need to talk to Aurelia privately. If you keep asking, I’ll die of embarrassment.” Melanie was so frantic that she was on the verge of tears.
She was genuinely scared.
Seeing Melanie so agitated, Aaron hesitated for a moment before deciding to go back.
However, he was still quite puzzled as to what exactly was the video about.
Why did it feel like Melanie was particularly nervous?
As if she was afraid he would see through her, Aurelia, on the other hand, appeared completely normal, without any hint of irregularity.
Seeing Aaron leave, Melanie breathed a sigh of relief.
Then she turned her gaze toward Aurelia, wanting to flare up but not daring to. For a moment, her facial expression became incredibly complex.
“Aurelia, tell me, what is it that you really want to do? You have this video, yet you don’t want to exchange it for my car. What is your intention with this video? Speak up!” Melanie’s hands were tightly clenched into fists.
Why wouldn’t the heavens just let Aurelia die?

“I’m giving you one chance.” Aurelia laid out her terms in a leisurely manner. “Kneel down and bow to me in apology. A thousand times. Anything less won’t suffice to express your remorse.”
Upon hearing the request, Melanie was nearly left breathless.
She gritted her teeth tightly, doing her best to keep her voice as low as possible. “Isn’t it enough that I know I was wrong? From now on, whatever you say goes. But making me bow down, Aurelia, you’re clearly making things difficult for me.”
“Exactly, it’s all about giving you a hard time.” Aurelia’s lips parted lightly, as if she was teasing at
kitten.
What she was doing now was nothing compared to what they had done to her in her past life.
What was the big deal about kowtowing a thousand times?
Melanie was infuriated, yet helpless. She nearly ground her teeth to dust. “Let’s move somewhere else, and I’ll bow to you there.”
She was truly filled with regret now, wishing she hadn’t given in to the lure of pleasure back then, which had ultimately led her into this unbearable situation.
“No, it has to be here.”
“Aurelia, don’t push me too far!” Melanie exclaimed in anger. “Do you really think Phyllis would forgive you if you corner me like this? After all, I am her own flesh and blood.”
Aurelia’s smile faded. “You should be thankful that she is your biological mother, otherwise, I could have shown this video to everyone in Jacaster.”
“I don’t care, you shouldn’t have put me in a difficult position, even if it was for her sake. The moment you got that video, you should have deleted it! Not use it to threaten me.” Melanie couldn’t hold back, and started to accuse Aurelia.
“Wrong,” Aurelia’s finger resting on the video on her phone. “Out of respect for my mother, I didn’t publicize it to tarnish her reputation, but the Leedon family should see it.”
Suddenly, a heart–fluttering cry that could make one blush emanated from her phone.
Melanie paled.
She rushed forward and turned off the video.
She turned around, her face pale, to look at Gideon and his group who had glanced over at her.
The muscles in her face had stiffened out of fear.
“What are you guys doing? What are you looking at? Do you realize this is a hospital?” Gideon reprimanded in a stern tone.
“You’ll have to ask your dear daughter what she’s done that’s so disgraceful,” Aurelia stated.

Gideon paused for a moment, turning to Melanie. “Mel, what’s going on?”

Aaron was deeply furrowed in thought, a hint of confusion in his eyes. The sound that had just emanated from Aurelia’s phone had a familiar ring to it.
It seemed as if…
It was as if Mel was moaning.
“If I’m not mistaken, that sound just now was rather peculiar, wasn’t it?” Spencer asked, casting a doubtful glance at Melanie and Aurelia.
Since when did the two of them become close enough to watch that kind of video together?
Aaron looked at Spencer with a peculiar expression on his face.
Spencer was somewhat puzzled. “What’s wrong?”
“Something seems off with Mel.” Benjamin observed keenly, his gaze fixed on Aurelia and Melanie.
He had noticed something off about the two of them just moments ago.
It seemed as though Melanie was under the control of Aurelia due to some sort of leverage, which made her quite nervous. The video that was just shown must have had something to do with Melanie.
But if that moan was related to Mel…
Gideon walked toward the two individuals.
Aurelia appeared completely at ease. After all, she wasn’t the one who had been acting wildly in the hotel, so she had no reason to panic.
