Chapter 2479
Chapter 2479
"Alright!"
After Sabrina hung up the phone, she pondered in silence, she wanted to be calm. The more she encountered such matters, the
calmer she had to me. Every minute and every second passed so slowly as if a year had already gone by when, in fact, it had
only been half an hour. Sabrina's phone rang again.
She picked her phone up to take a look and answered it. "Hello, Marcus?"
On the other end of the line, Marcus immediately said, "Sabrina, I was a little busy in the morning. You had called me to ask
about Yvonne. Is there something I can help you with?"
Sabrina was speechless. Logically speaking, the first number that was saved on Yvonne's phone should be Marcus' number.
After Yvonne had met with an accident, the first thing the local doctor would have done was to call Marcus. However, from what
Sabrina had heard over the phone, it seemed like Marcus still did not know that Yvonne had met with an accident.
What was going on? Sabrina took a pause and then said calmly, " It's fine, Marcus. I was looking for her, but it's not a very
important matter."
"Oh, alright then." Marcus let out a sigh of relief on the other end of the call and said, "I've been too busy a while ago. From my
grandpa's passing to my three brothers coming back to stir up trouble, even now, I still have not caught a break.
"It so happened that Yvonne’s birthday is in a few days, when the time comes, you, Sebastian, the children, Vireo and his wife,
and Zayn and his wife, as well as Nigel and the rest, should come to my house together. Let's get together, alright?"
"Sure," Sabrina still answered calmly.
She took a breath calmly, and continued, "Marcus, if there's nothing else, I'll hang up now."
"Alright. Bye, Sabrina." Marcus' voice was very normal. It was so normal that Sabrina could not tell if there was anything unusual
at all.
After she ended the call, she immediately called Sebastian without skipping a beat and said, "Sebastian, never talk to Marcus
about Yvonne's accident in the small city in the south, got it?"
On the other end of the line, Sebastian said with a calm voice, "I know. Before I find out who is the true person behind the scene,
I will not contact anyone!"
"Alright!"
After the couple achieved a mutual understanding, Sabrina hung up the call. She was alert throughout the whole journey. She did
close her eyes to take a rest, but she was highly focused.
Fortunately, everything was fine throughout the whole journey. Only then did Sabrina feel slightly relieved. After she got off the
train and arrived in the city, Sabrina directly took a cab straight to the hospital that Yvonne was at without even taking a sip of
water. It was a good thing that the hospital was very large.
Once she arrived, she called the doctor that was holding Yvonne's phone again. "Hello, doctor? I've already arrived. I am now
right outside the entrance of the hospital. May I know which department and which ward are you in?
On the other end of the call, the doctor said very calmly, "Turn left once you enter the entrance. After that, turn right and walk to
the end. Turn left again and you will see an elevator there. Take the elevator to the twelfth floor. You will see US once you exit the
elevator."
He made it so complicated that Sabrina was already a little impatient, with a bit of grumble in her tone, she said, "Can't you just
tell me directly which department it is?"
On the other end of the call, the doctor had already hung up the phone. Sabrina was speechless. Fortunately, she had a good
memory so she was able to remember the route after he told her once. She went along with the route, and five minutes later,
Sabrina got into the elevator and got out of it again. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she could feel the quietness in
the ward.
Immediately after, Sabrina also saw a few large words written on the ward across from her, which were 'Intensive Care Unit
(ICƯ)'.
Sabrina felt her heart in her mouth. After she met the doctor, the pitch of her voice changed. "Doctor.,.1 am Yvonne's family. May
I know if she..?"
She did not dare to ask and also did not dare to think. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
"The patient is basically considered no longer in a critical condition," the doctor said calmly.
