Chapter 57

Robert got uncomfortable as soon as he watched the way his grandfather looked at Elisa. With love, adoration and care.
He was convinced that something was definitely wrong with his grandfather or Elisa had found a way to charm him.
Elisabeth suddenly leaned towards Robert’s ear, and the girl’s fragrance forcefully penetrated his nostrils.
Robert’s body involuntarily tensed.
“Mr. Fisher, I bought so much, if you want more,I can continue tomorrow, alright?”
She was letting the tears flow at this point, and he hated it. Right when he decided to comfort her in such a way that won’t make him look like he was the one in the wrong, he noticed something.
Elisa only cried, and that was all she did. She is just tricking him! She was acting like the victim once again like she always did! How could he have been so stupid? So bad to the point that he was even willing to comfort her? He finally agreed that she was good at her game and silently declared that he would never let a peasant win. It was on.
It was obvious at this point that she had no plans of divorcing him, or so he thought. She just wanted to mess around with him and now that he finally knew her secret, he wasn’t going to let it slide. He was going to frustrate her to the best of his ability.
Since Robert didn’t say anything. Elisa was ready to let go and stop being sarcastic and showing how upset she was. She just wanted out of everything.
“Grandfather, can you send everything to Villa Riverside? I don’t need most of these things, so I think it’s in safe hands there.”
“Elisa, how about you keep a few items to wear? You would look good in them.”
Grandfather replied, looking downcast because obviously, she had no plans to play dress up and make him see how happy she was. Well, she wasn’t, and he completely understood.
“No Grandpa, I’m good. I’ll wear them later, I promise.”
Elisa felt internally sick that she spent such an amount of money on simple outfits she could have bought at cheaper prices. She was upset and angry. No wonder the rich would always want more, because they keep buying things more expensive than the poor population would buy it.
She was also mad because all she could think about was seeing her mother again. She missed her so much and wondered how well she was doing.
“There’s no problem in sending everything to Riverside then, so I’ll do that.” The grandfather finally nodded.
“After all, this is a nursing home, and it’s not convenient for us, normal people, to live here. Elisa, let’s move to Riverside tomorrow, okay?”
“Okay.” Elisabeth agreed without thinking, as long as it’s a place where she can’t see Robert, she would go anywhere.

When all was said and done, Elisa excused both her presence and that of Roberts and went straight to their room. Robert grumbled the whole time and it made her smile.
As soon as she entered the room, she wheeled him to a corner by the bed and sat by the edge of it.
Robert looked at her with expectant eyes, hoping that she only shared good news.
When she didn’t react but just stared at him, he got mad and asked her what the problem was.
“Why are we here, Elisa? Why did you bring me here alone? Do you plan to finish me off for good so you can take everything I have?”
He barked, and Elisa wasn’t having it this time around. She was sick of everything. The maltreatment, the way he spoke to her like nothing else mattered to her except money, and he kept using it on her to prove a point.
“Mr. Fisher. Why would you think I don’t want to divorce you?”
She suddenly asked, shocking him, because she had never spoken to him that way before.
“What?”
“Why do you think you’re the only one that’s been unhappy with the arrangement?”
She kept asking, but he couldn’t find the words to respond back at her. He was shocked to the core
“Well, I am. I’m ashamed of your name, therefore I don’t want it anymore. I don’t want to be Ms. Fisher anymore than you don’t want to be. I hate it here and I just want to see my mother, so stop acting like I’m the one that ruined your life!”
He concluded that Elisabeth wouldn’t dare say this unless she really didn’t care about his face anymore.
So, what is she dissatisfied with now?
His patience reached its limit!
Elisabeth vented a little, feeling much better.
Judging by what happened today, she really realized how much her grandfather loves her.
Soon, she stood up from the bed, got a file from the inside of her bag and went back to the bed to sit. After a brief second, she took it out and showed him the content. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
“Here. Divorce papers. I hope you’re well pleased now. Feel free to go through the terms. I don’t want anything from you. All I need from you is your signature so we can both be free to be happy. Really, it would make me very happy.”
One would think that Elisa was saying the truth, but her shaky voice failed her and the droplets of fresh tears everywhere. She was hurt, again.
Roberts stared at the paper before reaching out to get it and reading through it. Truly, all that was required of him was just his signature, Why was she behaving like that? What was she planning? Why did he feel a slight pain watching tears roll down her cheeks?
“I’ll sign it. Are you sure you don’t want any compensation so you can finally leave my life, vou gold

Elisa’s glare pierced through his heart. She was mad at him and he was actually scared because he had never seen her show so much emotion.
“I don’t want any of your filthy money! I just want to be free from you, so sign the goddamn already!”
papers
She stood up and left his room, then Robert stared at her signature, each stroke leaving a heavy mark on the paper.
She had already signed it, already given up, and was truly uninterested. It was hard to believe her when she kept crying silently, breaking his heart.
This woman seems gentle, but she has thorns everywhere!
When he realized what he had done, he just couldn’t bring himself to sign it. He had hurt her.
