Chapter 1 Why Don’t You Kiss My Lips?

Chapter 1 Why Don’t You Kiss My Lips?

It was night. Thunder was rumbling and lightning was flashing outside the window amidst the heavy

downpour. The woman who was sleeping soundly on a bed was suddenly lifted up. A pair of powerful

big hands was pulling her underwear down deftly without any presage. An unexpected attack was then

launched.

Adelaide Swift awoke due to the excruciating pain at her lower body part and she let out an

exclamation instinctively. The familiar body smell and the ruthless aura made her fully awake at once. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“Antonio Baron!” There was rage in her voice. She writhed madly and struggled to escape from the

man’s suppression. Yet Antonio ignored her completely. He bit her collar bone and neck like a wild

animal, leaving bruises on her, yet did not kiss her lips.

Adelaide was scared of thunder therefore she slept with the lights on. She could see Antonio’s

libidinous look very clearly. His eyes were flooded with lust yet the disgust in them did not show any

sign of decline. With a rush of indignation, and not knowing why, she suddenly put her arm around his

neck and approached him, wanting to kiss his lips.

As expected, she was given a hard push before she could even touch him, and she fell back onto the

bed once again. “Adelaide Swift, how dare you!” he bawled. “Antonio Baron, you’ve lost your cherry to

me, even if you want to keep your first kiss for Clarissa Swift, do you think you’re still pure?” She raised

her head. It was the first time she stared boldly into a man’s eyes without any fear. It had already been

two years. She had had enough. She had had enough of Antonio’s giving her the cold shoulder.

Antonio snorted. “So what if I do want to keep it?” He pulled out a napkin to wipe his body and rolled it

in disgust, tossed it randomly onto the floor looking like a merciless demon. Adelaide felt her body so

painful as if being torn to pieces from the torture. She lied on the bed in exhaustion and tears flowed

down her cheeks silently. She sneered. “It was her that you want to marry in the first place, wasn’t it? If

I wasn’t there, you two will be living happily ever after together, right?”

“So what? Since you knew how you get to marry me back then, you should be prepared to get tortured.

You deserve it all.” Having said that, Antonio once again stooped down and stared at her with brooding

eyes. Adelaide’s chest tightened and she knew she had irritated him once more. She quickly backed up

feeling slightly afraid. “No, I don’t want it. Since you don’t love me, even if it means death, I won’t want

to get humiliated and tortured by you anymore!” She broke the wedding photo frame on the bedside

cabinet to pieces and picked up one of the broken pieces. She placed it on her neck and stared at

Antonio determinedly.

Yet how could she match him. Without even realizing, there was a sharp pain on her palm and a deep

cut was left. Blood gushed out of the wound and dripped onto the snowy mattress, leaving stains like

blooming flowers. The room was full of blood smell. With a crash, the glass piece dropped straight onto

the ground and broke into pieces, so did Adelaide’s heart.

Rage occupied Antonio’s handsome face and he suddenly pinched her chin. “You dare want to die? Let

me tell you, forget about it!” He roared fiercely and seized her by the throat. “I can see that you still

don’t understand, then let me tell you straight away. The reason I married you is to nicely torture you,

make you wish you weren’t born. How’s that sound? Adelaide. Are you happy now? Even if you want to

die, you have to go through me!”

“The reason you marry me…is just to torture me?” Adelaide raised her head and looked at Antonio in a

daze. The vigor in her eyes suddenly disappeared. Antonio pursed his lips and stared at her with

brooding eyes. “You deserve it, Adelaide…”

“You…” Adelaide was completely startled. She knew he did not like her, but she did not expect the

dislike would reach to the level of hatred, even to a great extent…Did he hate her for ruining the

chance for him to be with Clarissa? But back then…

However, Antonio would not stay there for any longer. He picked up his pajamas and put it on, turned

around and glimpsed at her frigidly. His voice was as cold as the night. “The debt you owed me, I’ll

make you pay them one by one!” He did not know why he lost his temper all of a sudden either, yet

when he saw her grasping that sharp glass piece, his heart inexplicably ached, no, not ached, it was

rage. Yes, it was rage. He hated that woman too much that he could not bear to let her die that

smoothly! He had planned and endured it for such a long time, he would only be satisfied when he got

to torture her slowly bit by bit.

The moment Adelaide watched him left, a chill had diffused from her heart to other parts of her body,

and she felt like she was trapped in an ice cave. It turned out what supported their two years of

marriage was Antonio’s hatred towards her. She had no idea why Antonio would overreact, yet there

was one thing she knew at least, that was he would not love her, and he would not love her till the day

he died.

It was just at the blink of an eye that the feelings she once had for Antonio had completely gone. The

man she had thought of for decades had shattered her love for him within just two years. She let out a

wry smile yet boiling tears kept on flowing out of her eyes. After Antonio left, there was only her being

alone in the room and a deadly silence had prevailed across the huge and empty room.

A phone suddenly rang and the crispy sound echoed in the room. She went over to pick up the phone

and heard the words said by the person at the end of the phone. “Mrs. Baron, you’ve forgotten to take

the body checkup report last time. I have to congratulate you that you’re pregnant!”
