Merrick walked into Derrick’s chamber but Derrick wasn’t there. Merrick glanced around the room and he saw the door that led to the balcony widely open.

He knew Derrick was there.

He then walked to the balcony and met Derrick sitting on a relaxation chair with a stick of cigar in-between his lips, smoking it devilishly.

There was also a bottle of vodka beside his chair.

Merrick shook his head before walking to him and he sat on the empty chair beside him.

“Derrick, I’m sorry the way I spoke to you earlier.” Merrick finally broke the long silence.

“Dad rang me some minutes ago.” Merrick said, breaking the silence.

“And what did the old wolf say?” Derrick asked with a smirk as he flickered ashes off his cigar.

“He said he’ll be returning back from Valmore Kingdom tomorrow with mum and Annie.” Merrick replied. “He also said he has a big surprise for you.” He added, and Derrick turned his gaze to him.

“Dad has a big surprise for me?”

“Yeah, and I’m kinda curious to know what the surprise is.” Merrick replied.

Alpha Derrick chuckled lightly and took his cigar back to his lips, then drew in a long puff from it before saying,

“I’ve got a feeling that his surprise won’t be good.”
