Oops, I’ve Been Exposed

Chapter 41 by Lorelei Thunder

Woody ended the call and put on a neat outfit before going downstairs. On the ground floor, a Mercedes-Benz drove up to the entrance. The doorman was about to open the car door when a figure dashed forward first. “Let me do it!”

The man wore an expensive tailored suit, and his hair was combed neatly. It was none other than Kurt, Pamela’s admirer.

Four years ago, when he was lying on the sick bed with his head bandaged up, he was charmed by Pamela, who had come over to apologize. Kurt immediately forgave Pamela’s family, but he had no intentions of letting Woody off the hook.

For the past four years, Kurt kept trying to please Pamela, and he even dreamed about winning her heart. His current actions were proof of that.

“Mr. Donnel? No, I can’t let you do this! “Pamela looked surprised by his enthusiastic welcome.

Kurt put on a cool smile as he said respectfully, “It’s my honor to open the door for you.”

Pamela was wearing black stockings, and as she took a step out of the car, she smiled and said, “Thank you very much, Mr. Donnel. Are you attending the charity event as well?”

As soon as Pamela got out of the car, she instantly became the center of attention. She was tall, and her evening dress outlined her perfect hourglass figure. Her exquisite features and amazing air immediately outshined the women around her.

A lustful glint appeared in Kurt’s eyes as he smiled and said, “I’m not interested in any charity events, even if they’re held by the Cartwright family. I came here today to help you.”

A hint of doubt appeared on Pamela’s face. “Help me?”Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

“Mr. York called and said that your family wants to be Cartwright Group’s gold-tier partner. With our family’s status in Tiusto and our connections with the Cartwright family, it shouldn’t be a problem for you to seal the deal with our help,” Kurt said proudly.

Miriam, who was getting out of the car, was elated to hear of his gesture. “That would be wonderful! Thank you, Mr. Donnel! If this can be done, York Corporation will be indebted to you.”

If the York family thrived, as the secretary of York Corporation’s president, she would too.

“There’s no need for such pleasantries. Given my relationship with Pamela, it’s only right for me to do this.” Kurt smiled meaningfully.

Miriam hastily nodded. “Yes! You’re family now!”

Kurt was delighted to hear their praise, and he smiled joyfully. Although Pamela was happy as well, she knew where to draw the line. She smiled faintly as she said, “I’ll be counting on you, then, Mr. Donnel.”

“Please, why are you still calling me Mr. Donnel? We’re not strangers. Just call me Kurt.” Kurt was good at going with the flow.

Pamela blushed slightly. She felt a little embarrassed. But since Kurt had helped her so much, she felt that it wouldn’t hurt for her to change how she addressed him. Just when she was about to say something, she caught sight of a familiar figure.

“Him?” Pamela said in surprise.

Miriam quickly looked in the direction Pamela was looking at. “Woody? Why is he here?”

Kurt was startled at first, but his expression shifted to one of disdain. “Is this guy your ex-husband? After being in jail for four years, he doesn’t seem to have improved much. He’s still a country bumpkin.

“Pamela, I feel bad for you. You were so considerate of him, but instead of appreciating your efforts, he injured Mrs. York and Brutus. He repaid your kindness with cruelty.

“Since we’ve bumped into him, I can’t pretend as if I never saw him. I have to make him pay for what he did. I’ll break his legs!”
