No Longer Lovesick After a Memory Loss

Chapter 61

Chapter 61 This Is Outrageous

As Freya and Daniella chatted for a while, a warm feeling enveloped their hearts.

Although Freya had lost her memories of the past two years, the inexplicable sense of familiarity in her heart made her certain that Daniella must have been very kind to her before.

During their chat, they frequently talked about trivial matters in their families.

At 10:30 a.m., the sound of footsteps coming from the spiral staircase could be heard.

Freya was sitting on the sofa facing the spiral staircase. She glanced over and saw that it was Rosie who came down.

“Freya? What are you doing here?” Rosie’s voice was full of annoyance.

However, Freya didn’t say anything as she just sat there and disregarded Rosie’s rudeness.

Seeing that there was no response from Freya, Rosie immediately glared at her and scolded, “You still look as unpleasant as ever. Luckily, Radley has already—”

Daniella coldly glared at her. “Freya is my guest. Do you have any objections?”

The Monaghan family was still under the control of Daniella. Immediately, Rosie shut her mouth and. gave Freya a disgruntled look before going to the dining room.

“That’s just how she is. Frey, don’t take it to heart,” Daniella said.

Freya smiled. “No, I won’t.”

She didn’t have much to do with the Monaghans now, and the only person she cared about was Daniella.

Therefore, Rosie was not worthy of making her angry.

“You’re very kind, Frey.” Daniella smiled and patted her hand. “Since you’re here, you have to spend time with me all day today.”

Freya didn’t mind. However, Rosie, who had just finished her breakfast, glared at Freya again before leaving the dining room.

On the second floor of the Monaghans’ mansion.

Rosie sat in her bedroom, feeling angry and frustrated.

Is Mom blind? Why does she invite the jinx to our house?

She must have lost her mind due to her illness!

During lunchtime, Daniella and Freya had lunch together, but Rosie did not come downstairs.

After lunch, the housekeeper of the Monaghans, Walter, came over.

“Old Madam, it’s time for your nap,” he said.

Daniella looked at Walter and then at Freya, feeling reluctant to leave. “I won’t nap today,” she replied.

Freya couldn’t help but laugh. “Grandma, you should take a nap. After you wake up, you’ll feel more refreshed and we can chat all day.”

Daniella looked like a child as she worried that Freya would leave while she was sleeping.

“I’ll take a nap for an hour then. You can stay and spend your time here, and Walter will accompany you wherever you want to go,” she said.

“Okay, Grandma.”

As Freya watched the maid assist Daniella as they left, she sat in the living room and looked at Walter.

Walter looked respectful. “Mrs-Miss Kaufmann, if you need anything, please let me know at any time.”

Freya was curious about her past two years and said with a faint smile, “Walter, I want to talk to you about something.”

Walter looked at her with a complicated expression, and she felt that he must have known a lot.

The whole conversation was mostly Freya asking questions and him answering.

The past two years were not much of a secret. After a while, Freya heard a completely different version of herself from Walter.

A version of herself who spoke slowly and softly.

She had a rough idea in her mind and was about to dismiss Walter.

However, at this moment, Rosie came down the spiral staircase again.

Freya narrowed her eyes. When Daniella was around, Rosie didn’t even come down for lunch.

Does she come down now because she knows that Grandma is not around?

Rosie didn’t seem friendly.

After she came down, she stood in front of Freya with her arms folded.

“The Old Madam is sleeping now. Why are you still shamelessly staying here?”

Hearing that, Freya slightly leaned back and sat more firmly.

“Am I talking to a deaf person? Is this the kind of manners the Kaufmanns have?” Rosie raised her eyebrows arrogantly.

“Do you think you can use the Old Madam to get back to my son? Forget it. It’s not going to happen!”

Walter stood by, respectfully keeping his head down and saying nothing.

With a frown, Freya glanced at Rosie. “Well, I won’t comment on the manners of my family for now, but your family’s manners are certainly on full display.”

Rosie didn’t expect that the usually meek and soft Freya would fight back. She was so angry that the veins. on her forehead bulged.

“Walter, get her out of here!”

At this, Walter respectfully replied, “Madam, the Old Madam wants Miss Kaufmann to stay, and she asked me to watch over her.”

Rosie glared and held back her anger..

She gritted her teeth and looked at Freya with a spiteful gaze.

“Fine! As she wishes! Freya, come and serve my meal!”

Freya narrowed her eyes. “Do the Monaghans like to have their guests serve their meals? How do you want me to serve you? Do you want me to feed you?”

Rosie’s eyes widened. Is this how she repays me after I let her stay? By being ungrateful and even having the nerve

to mock me?

This is outrageous!

Freya laughed and joked, “If you have any illnesses on your hands. I don’t mind helping out.”

Hearing that, Rosie was even more furious. “Fine! You just wait and see!”

Freya was pleased to see Rosie’s rage.

Sitting in the living room, she took out her phone while watching Rosie angrily enter the di

The living room was quiet. Rosie, who had already experienced two losses from the argume come to cause trouble again.

Then, Freya stretched lazily.

After she watched the financial news for almost half an hour, there was a sound at the door.

When she looked up, she noticed a tall figure walking in. Radley had an extraordinary demeanor, and black suit gave him a sense of luxury.

After entering the door, Radley caught sight of Freya and hesitated briefly before sitting on the sofa next to her. “You’re here.”

She held her phone and replied, “Yeah.”

Then, she secretly glanced at his side profile. Her old phone recorded a lot of things about him. Therefore, she knew that he rarely came back to the Monaghans’ mansion and showed little concern for the family. He would basically stay in the company even on weekends.

The living room became quiet. Freya tried to convince herself several times to ignore the presence of the ice-cold jerk beside her.

However, Radley’s presence was too strong.

The atmosphere became somewhat strange.

Radley spoke first. “Thank you for coming to see my grandma.”

Freya was a bit surprised. “No need to thank me. I don’t have anything to do this weekend anyway.”

The atmosphere fell into silence again. Radley frowned slightly and looked at Freya as he struggled to find topics to talk to. “I just received a call from West Geft today. The contract for the shrines has been finalized.”

Talking about business, Freya immediately put down her phone.

“How is the negotiation going?”

“The strategy was carried out according to your previous suggestion. Those people opted for money.”

Freya sneered. “I’ve investigated those people thoroughly. They all come from somewhat wealthy backgrounds, yet they still let their shrines fall into ruins without any attempt at restoration. And now, all of a sudden, they bring up their family’s history and heritage when money is involved. I mean, who needs those when there’s money on the table, right?”

Her voice was flat and emotionless, but her mockery was obvious.

In the living room, by the staircase on the second floor, Daniella watched the two people chatting with a

smile.

“Old Madam- The maid next to her spoke up.

Daniella immediately gestured for her to be quiet. After that, she waved her hand and led the maid back to her bedroom.
