Chapter 34
Chapter 34
By the time the nanny realized she should stop it, it was already too late.
Looking at the broken stuff on the ground, the nanny’s face was full of panic, “Oh my God, how could
you step on this and break it?!”
Kaylee snorted, “What’s so good about this piece of junk? My mom doesn’t even like it!”
“But you still shouldn’t step on It! How am I supposed to give this to Mrs. Reed now? Mr. Reed Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
specifically told me to hand it to her personally If he finds out it’s ruined like this, how am I supposed to
explain it to him?”
“If my brother asks, just say you alreaddy gave it to her. How would he know if you did or not?”
“But
Kaylee glared at her, “Stop worrying! I take responsibility if anything happens! Hurry up and throw this
junk away, it’s annoying to look at!”
The nanny didn’t dare say anything else and just went to clean up
As soon as Celeste came back, Trisha noticed the band-aid on her neck. After asking about it, she
found out about the unpleasant incident Celeste had experienced that day
“That crazy woman! She doesn’t even care about the consequences for the baby in her belly!” Trisha
scolded indignantly, before asking. “So, you just thanked the handsome guy who helped you with a cup
of coffee?”
“What else shoud I do?”
Trisha slapped her thigh. “You should have invited him to have dinner together! Just buying him a
coffee is not sincere enough!”
“It’s only the second time I’ve met him. Wouldn’t inviting him to dinner be too sudden?”
“No way! It’s a different time now, people have dinner together on their first meeting. You two have met
twice in three days, isn’t that fate? How old is this handsome guy? Is he good-looking?”
Celeste felt like Trisha was insinuating something and narrowed her eyes to ask, “What are you trying
to say?”
“I’m not trying to say anything, just that he seems like a decent guy, worth considering”
Celeste threw a pillow at her face, “Bullshit! I’m married! What are you thinking?!”
Trisha hugged the pillow, “Aren’t you getting a divorce? There’s nothing wrong with looking for a new
target in advance, right? Speaking. of which, didn’t you go to talk about the divorce with Liam today?
How did it go? When can we get the paperwork done?”
Mentioning this, Celeste’s face darkened, “Don’t remind me. Liam kicked me out of the company.”
“What happened? Tell me everything”
Celeste told Trisha what happened that day, and of course, regarding the matter of scheduling an
appointment for Liam at the urology clinic, she voluntarily omitted it.
After listening, Trisha was puzzled, “Why do I feel like Liam gets a bit impatient whenever you mention
divorce?”
Celeste shrugged. “He’s always been impatient with me.”
“Really? If he’s really that impatient, why doesn’t he just get the divorce and be done with it? I feel like
he doesn’t really want to.”
Celeste paused for a moment, then shook her head, “You don’t understand Liam. It’s not that he
doesn’t want to divorce, he just doesnt like that I brought it up first.”
He can’t tolerate a woman he’d been supporting at a high price trying to break free from his control.
