My Repentant Brothers (Madeline Larson)

Chapter 330

Chapter 330

That night, Gavin nearly smiled himself to sleep. Lying in bed with his charming eyes filled with joy, he thought about their family-like setup. Maddie and I with Grace now, her grandparents coming soon

be true family time. How could anyone compete with a

varm home to win a woman's heart? Gavin felt more confident with each thought.

Their current three-bedroom apartment was quite spacious and cozy. He saw no need for anything larger; it felt perfect.

He arranged everything with his team, expecting Frank and Helena by tomorrow afternoon, Contently, Gavin drifted to sleep. with a smile.

Madeline managed to care for the baby alone all night. It was a bit tiring, but not too bad.

First, because Grace had a great temperament, and second, because Madeline had a parenting guide she pretty much memorized.

Anytime Grace seemed uncomfortable, Madeline knew why-whether she was hungry, needed a diaper change, or had an upset tummy. Still, by morning, she felt a little sleepy-

The next day, as Madeline was dozing off with Grace in her arms, she felt the baby move and was about to comfort her when someone gently lifted Grace out of the covers. The curtains, left open from before, were closed nearby. The room darkened as Madeline turned over and continued sleeping.

Gavin quietly closed the door behind him while holding Grace. He skillfully changed her diaper and fed her before settling her into the stroller.

His hair was a bit disheveled, adding an endearing touch of "dad vibes" to his look.

Gavin was brushing his teeth when his phone rang. He answered it

"Boss, is the baby with you? How are things going? We heard about what happened back home and your injury. How's the recovery?" It was Michael, who worked like Gavin's assistant. Michael always had a humorous tone and a unique accent.

"The baby's at my place. I thought about adoption, but... er, my girlfriend thinks it's best to keep her here with us. Money isn't an issue," Gavin explained. Tve always considered it, but worried being a single guy with a kid might make settling down difficult.

Michael knew Gavin had someone special back home. That's great. If she's on board, it's a good thing. Having someone outside the circle is beneficial for everyone involved" He continued, "We're planning to pool a bit of money as a gesture of goodwill. When would be a convenient time for you to accept it?"

"No need for that," Gavin replied easily. "I'm good."

Michael sighed, "Boss, being with you has been a blessing. You always handle things well no matter what happens. Honestly. you're the youngest among us. If I ever get into trouble. I'd trust you to sort it out."

"Stop with the nonsense, Gavin said as he heard Grace crying outside. "Want to see Grace? The baby"

"Yes, send a picture! We all want to see this little girl, Michael replied eagerly. He was speaking for a group of people whose lives offered little promise for the future. Yet, even they were eager to see the new little life brought into the world by the Phantom Organization-tiny sparks of hope for their own continuity.

Gavin hung up and emailed a picture to Michael. Then he posted one on Instagram of Madeline holding Grace. [Cherish life and time for the ones we love and the little ones we're responsible for.] Looking at his Instagram, Gavin sighed, "I guess it's normal to get a bit sentimental at my age."

Madeline slept late into the morning. She hadn't been sleeping well lately, and she tended to sleep a lot during her period. Gavin woke Madeline up, and when she opened her eyes, she smelled the d warm and

delicious aroma of food.

She glanced at his face close by. He was shedding the youthful look and showing the confidence of an adult, yet he stayed as

sunny as ever. His charming eyes could make anyone feel loved.

"Maddie, it's time to eat. If you don't get up soon, you'll be having lunch instead. Gavin smiled, ruffling her hair gently. "Grace is asleep, so you can relax for a bit. Madeline mumbled. Alright. You go first."

"What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?" he asked.

"No." Madeline felt what was going on with her body and bit her lip. Just wait outside."

Gavin looked puzzled.

Madeline tossed the covers aside, then pulled them back over herself. Slowly, she inched her way past Gavin and into the

bathroom.

Realizing what had happened when he saw the stained sheets. Gavin grabbed a change of clothes and some essentials for her. He knocked on the bathroom door. "Maddie, here. From inside, Madeline reached out and took them, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Go eat! III join you soon.

After freshening up. Madeline emerged to find fresh sheets on the bed. The old ones were gone. She heard the washing machine running on the balcony-Gavin must have started it.

Madeline felt embarrassed, thinking. How could Gavvy handle something so personal so naturally? And he is so adept with chores.

Madeline, feeling a bit flushed, made her way to the dining table where a meal was already laid out. There were three dishes and a soup: roasted eggplant, spicy beef, salad with peppers, and a hearty chicken noodle soup.

Getting up late had left Madeline ravenous, and seeing such comforting home-style dishes made her mouth water. This looks so good, Gavvy. You've gone to so much trouble," she said gratefully. "Despite your injury, you're taking care of Grace and handling all the chores. It must be exhausting.

"When you enjoy something, even doing chores every day feels fulfilling and happy. Gavin replied with a smile, placing some beef on her plate. "Besides, I can't bear to see you overworked. I'd rather do a bit more myself to ensure everything's well taken care of.
