Chapter 2101
Chapter 2101
After being absent-minded for a while, I realized that Hendrix hadn't answered my question. I turned around and saw as lost in his thoughts as I was. "Why aren't you talking?" I asked.
Hendrix came around and said, "I was thinking about getting Aurelia's admission procedures done as soon as possible so that she won't fall behind and not be able to fit in with society in the future."
I pursed my lips and chuckled, exposing his thoughts by saying, "You're worried that Aurelia will come into contact with too few people and that she will fall for Neal. Be honest - you don't fancy Neal at all, do you?"
A hint of imperceptible contempt flashed across Hendrix's eyes as he said arrogantly, "I don't fancy anyone!"
Before I could react, he turned over and covered us with the quilt.
"What are you doing?" I pressed my hand against his chest, shocked. How could men think of that at any give time?
"I've lost, so you'll have to punish me." Hendrix frowned looking... sincere and expectant?
"Punish you? Then why are you pressing against me..." My words trailed off.
Reasoning went nowhere with him.
Freya was a prominent figure in the domestic investment industry. Even if half of the companies she invested in had gone bankrupt, she could still rely on the other half to reign in the money. As she started earning more, she became idle, so she was the best candidate to help me deal with the kids' school affairs.
Anne wanted to participate more in her siblings' affairs, so she tagged along. She could also look after them for us.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
Aurelia and Neal were transferred to Wynn's school so that it was more convenient for us to pick them up. Before I left, I sent Aurelia away and reminded the dean to arrange for Neal to be transferred to another class.

Firstly, I wanted to ensure that there wasn't too much contact between the two of them. The Roberts would only take care of Neal until he reached adulthood; we could not protect him for a lifetime. From then on he should live like an ordinary child.
After leaving the school, we turned around and entered the largest shopping mall nearby to buy more back-to-school items for the children. When we walked past the toy section, Aurelia pulled herself away from Anne and entered a mini amusement park while we waited for her on one side.
After a while, I felt something tugging at my sleeve. Turning around, I saw a little girl with a flower basket.
"Would you like some flowers?" The girl's eyes were shimmering and watery, her cheeks chubby. She

Aurelia The clothes she wore
battered but clean, and her nose
was covered in dirt.
I hurriedly took out a piece of tissue paper from my bag to wipe it clean for her, but when I reached forward, the girl took half a step back.
In fact, it was a rather big step, but the little fellow was tiny so it didn't seem as much.
"Don't be afraid." Cracking into a friendly smile, I waved the tissue in my hand to show that I meant no harm. "There's dirt on your nose. Can I wipe it clean for you?"
Children had the most primitive sense of good and evil, so her guard was down in no time. She approached me once more and let me wipe her nose as she stared at me quietly without saying a
word.
Freya pulled a stick of tulip out of her basket and fiddled with it. "Kid, why aren't you home on such a hot day? Why are you running around doing business? You're interested in money so early on?
"What are you talking about?" Freya's tongue was so sharp that she did not show the child any mercy.
The little girl did not understand her as she blinked at Freya innocently.
I looked at her, curious. "Aren't you afraid of her?"
