My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2092

Chapter 2092

The suffocating atmosphere lasted less than a minute. Marcello held Amy's hand and fell to his knees with a thud. He wanted nothing more than to bury his face in his chest.

In this silent judgment, they had been nailed to the cross, and it was hard to absolve themselves from the blame.

Everyone in the room was waiting for Hendrix to make his decision, but he sat there like an expressionless mountain. He let the situation be for a long time before turning around and waving his hand at Aurelia. "Come here."

Aurelia was surprised for a moment, her eyes filled to the brim with tears. She raised her hand to wipe away her tears and walked fearlessly over as she pouted and silently sulked.

She definitely was a kid brought up by Aaron. Her big, blinking eyes showed no fear.

Hendrix stretched his hand out to pull her onto his lap, his hand caressing Aurelia's chubby little hand. His gaze met hers gently. "Are you afraid?"

Aurelia looked at Marcello and his wife. She turned back and shook her head in confusion. "No."

Hendrix nodded slightly, thought for a moment and asked, "I will tell you now that the two people kneeling on the ground caused Neal's injuries. Do you think I should give them another chance to change their ways?"

Hearing this, I couldn't help but frown. A decision of this level was out of a child's decision-making capacity.

The decision to give or not to give them a chance would change everything for the Hillers. But in Aurelia's eyes, it meant nothing to her. Who knew what kind of impact this would have on her?

Just as I worriedly mulled over this, Aurelia's voice travelled across the room. "No!"

She was calm and clear, as if she knew exactly what was going on. The words she blurted out was too calm to be a child's.

"My uncle said that I can only give

chances to my closest family.

Strangers cannot be forgiven so casually. Otherwise, my family and friends, including myself, will be in danger. They are bad people don't like them, and I don't want to forgive them!"

Indeed, Aaron did seem like a man who would say these words.

He had been greatly disappointed with human nature after escaping death so many times. He would not give anyone a chance to hurt himself except for his closest family.

He was clear-headed but not kind.

But men often had a tacit understanding in this respect. Almost at the same time when Aurelia finished speaking, Hendrix narrowed his eyes and said calmly, "Did you hear everything Aurelia said?" He asked Evan.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

"Yes," Evan nodded respectfully. He straightened his back and gestured to the men outside the door. In the next second, several bodyguards in suits and ties came in and shoved the couple out, who were trying their best to keep it together.

The moment they walked out of the door, a shattering wail rang through the entire hospital building and then gradually went away.

Why did they bother? The Hillers were intellectuals with high education. They should have figured that Hendrix was not a kind man to have wealth of more than 10 billion at his age.

Humans were not saints, and it was understandable that they had a few peculiar interests. The despicable thing was that the Hillers imposed them on others and challenged authority recklessly. Humans and beasts must be different. Humans should know to restrain themselves and refrain from doing things that were inappropriate. The Hillers deserved what was coming forthem.

When I looked at Aurelia again, she was as calm as I expected her to be. It was as if she didn't understand what the couple would face after being brought away.

As a mother, I was happy. But I could not explain the unease I felt when I saw my child behaving so fearlessly.
