My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2077

Chapter 2077

Neal looked at Hendrix before tilting his head. He smiled at Aurelia and said, "I'm going to buy the most delicious lollipop in the world for you. Can you promise me that you will stay at home and wait for me to come back?"

"The most delicious lollipop?" Aurelia brought her hand to her chin, and thought for a moment. She then smiled. "Well then, you must come back soon!"

"Mm." Neal nodded. He then glanced at Mr. and Mrs. Hiller, who had been waiting for some long time, before lowering his head in acceptance. "I'll be going then."

He then walked towards Amy and her husband.

I had warned him to keep his distance with Aurelia. The couple held onto Neal and nodded their heads in excitement, they couldn't wait to take him home. Soon, they left with Neal after expressing their gratitude.

Walking to the door, Aurelia suddenly shouted, "Neal! I'll be waiting for you!"

The three of them who were standing by the door suddenly stopped. For a brief moment, the obvious signs of hesitation trembled throughout the boy's small body. But then, in his desire to draw a clear boundary with everything in this house, he quickened his pace and soon disappeared from sight.

Not receiving a response from Neal, Aurelia was a little disappointed. She pouted her small mouth and fiddled with Hendrix's necktie, mumbling to herself, "Hmph, how dare he ignore me! I'll just ignore him too!"

It was widely agreed upon by women around the world that a young girl's anger wouldn't last for more than three seconds. She would just be as clingy and as excited as ever the next time she saw him.

Little did she know, this stranger that she liked so very much, was never going to return to this house ever again.

"Children have the purest of minds. They can't pretend to like or dislike something for long. Maybe Neal was Aurelia's first real friend. This was, however, the very same reason that further solidified my decision to agree with Hendrix." I thought to myself.

There was no such thing as a perfect relationship between two individuals in the world, whether it be love, friends, or family... or any kind of relationship. If there were, it would only be an illusion.

Childhood only ever comes once. I'd rather mistakenly get rid of a playmate than to risk having her bond with a scheming individual.

A while later, Hendrix put Aurelia down and turned to the butler outside the door. "Take Wynn and Anne to the swimming pool."

"Yes, sir."

After the butler left, he looked at me from the corner of his eyes and placed Aurelia's hand in mine. "Take her to the pool. I'm going to change my clothes."

Hethen headed out.

Was he... going to teach the children how to swim?

Aaron however, had already taken the opportunity for this bonding activity once before. Besides, Aurelia had nearly drowned not too long ago. Was this really necessary? All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

After giving it some thought, I looked

up again. Hendrix had already disappeared at the end of the

corridor. I had no choice but to put on a swimsuit for Aurelia before bringing her back to the pool.

When we arrived, Wynn and Anne were already in the pool in their swimsuits and had floatation devices around them. They swam up to the surface and sank back into the water. They moved so

effortlessly in the water, it looked like they were born to be swimmers.

It was clear that these two didn't need any help.

I had no idea who gave Aurelia her bubbly personality or where she got it from. She got out of my arms and rushed into the water as soon as she saw Wynn swimming happily.

"Wynn! Anne! I'm here!"

Aurelia was the very definition of being timidly bold. She was being cautious and hesitated to let go of the railing while attempting to get closer to Wynn and Anne by splashing water at them.

I shook my head and smiled helplessly. Who would believe that this little girl had just survived from drowning not too long ago?!
