Chapter 2022
Chapter 2022
Aaron glanced at me but didn't say anything. His face looked somewhat helpless.
Hendrix said calmly, "No promises, but I'll try my best when the time comes."
"When the time comes? Try his best?"
I took a deep breath and looked at Hendrix in shock. I couldn't believe that he was still thinking about it!
Hendrix's curt reply was surprisingly enough to suppress Aaron's anger, probably because he was avoiding getting into arguments with him. Both of them focused on eating and didn't intend to go into detail.
Due to my guilty conscience, I didn't continue either. I hung my head down, and this was soon forgotten.
After breakfast, we sent Wynn to school and brought Aurelia along with us to Jordan's art gallery.
We had just passed by an intersection when a car stopped right in front of us, it was Jennifer.
A group of men in black suits followed behind her. They got out of the limousine and surrounded our
car.
Things felt very different right now as they did from the last time.
They had successfully taken over the company, yet here they are, right in front of us again in such a short period of time. Something fishy was going
on.
Jennifer walked straight to the back of the car and knocked on the door.
She must have grown very familiar with Hendrix's habits over the past six years. She knew exactly where he was in the car.
A moment later, Hendrix rolled the window down with a blank look on his face. He turned to look at her and said coldly, "What is it?"

the car. She wasn't very bothered when she saw me and Aurelia, instead she got straight to the point and said, "Hendrix, you didn't inform my assistant the password to the company's safe."
"What password?" Hendrix looked up and pondered about this. Then, he looked up innocently and said, "I don't remember."
Jennifer was stunned, "You don't remember?"
"Your assistant didn't tell you?" Hendrix played nice and continued, "Something happened a few days ago. I woke up and lost my memories."
Jennifer didn't believe him,
obviously, then said candidly,
"Hendrix, if you really don't want to
tell me, I won't force you. In all honesty, this company will be yours in the end anyway. As your sister, I just want to do a good job while I'm temporarily in charge of the company. If you have any concerns, you can tell me. You don't have to come up with such childish lies."
Hendrix's face turned cold as he said, sounding slightly angry, "You think I'm mocking you?"
Even though we weren't looking at each other, I could feel a suffocating heavy pressure emanating from him.
Hendrix nearly snapped her neck
last time, so when she noticed how impatient he was, she quickly moved back and said, "Hendrix, don't get me wrong, just thought of

who has some experience in recovering memories. Why don't I help you arrange a session with him as soon as possible?"
Restore Hendrix's memories?
She seriously expects me to believe that the Marshall family would be so kind?
Not a chance.
Hendrix didn't show much interest in this. He calmly looked away and responded calmly, "I'll think about it."
After a brief pause, he then raised his voice, "What are you still doing here? Are you going to keep me here until I say yes?"
In just two short moments, he had made it very clear how serious he was to everyone around him.
