My Invincible Husband Has Returned

Chapter 92

Chapter 92

As soon as Liam finished, Cheryl burst out, “Me, apologize to that tramp, Celena? As if! Why should I? There’s no way I’m agreeing to

that!”

Liam ignored Cheryl’s raging tantrum and gave Luis a knowing look. With Celena in tow, they made their way through the crowd and out of

there.

Cheryl glared after them, seething, then spun to face Luis and

demanded, “Why her, Mr. Garrie? Celena’s got nothing, no company, no clout! Why pick someone so clueless?”

Luis turned to Cheryl with a frosty stare, clearly annoyed, and retorted, “The choice belongs to Max Group and Mr. Lynch. Who are you to question it?”

With that, he turned to the onlookers and declared, “The open audition for this partnership is settled. Celena’s the one.”

After finishing his piece, Luis, followed by his bodyguards, spun on his heel and strode away.

The elite crowd of tycoons and business moguls at the entrance could only stand by, watching Luis leave, their hands reluctantly clutching the ungiven gifts. As they left, a mix of envy and spite for Celena and Liam churned within them.

Cheryl was shaking with rage, her breaths coming in sharp bursts. In her mind, she was tearing Celena to shreds. The nerve of that woman, expecting an apology from her. Cheryl scoffed at the thought.

Meanwhile, Walter was in a panic. The deal they were about to clinch was slipping through their fingers. He turned to his brother, Yafe, in desperation. “Yafe, what should we do? We’re about to lose this deal.

If we landed it, it would’ve been a game-changer for the Stone family!”

Yafe’s expression was grim. “We head home and report to Dad. He’ll make the call.”

Elsewhere, Liam and Celena were en route to Jade Manor. Celena had been lost in thought ever since they had gotten into the car, replaying their standoff with Yafe and his crew.

Her face suddenly drained of color, and she clutched Liam’s arm. Liam, what are we going to do? They’ll tell Grandpa for sure. What if he gets mad? Those terms were ridiculous. Grandpa would never agree! Cheryl will never do it too!”

Cheryl had always been too proud and always looked down on her. The idea of Cheryl apologizing was something Celena could not even fathom.

Celena’s heart raced with worry. The thought of Reginald cutting her off haunted her. Liam noticed her unease and took her hand. He smiled reassuringly. “Celena, relax. They’ll say yes. This deal is huge for the Stones. They’ll be the ones asking you to come back. Whether Cheryl apologizes or not is up to them, not yours.”

The deal was a lifeline for the Stones. Liam’s wedding fiasco had cost them dearly in terms of partners and profits alike. The Stone Group was reeling, and a chance like that would not come

around again for years. Reginald was desperate to keep the business afloat and the family’s future secure. He would not miss that for the world. NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
