Chapter 37
Chapter 37
Sandra couldn't help but feel that perhaps her purpose in coming to this university was to expose these heartless individuals and drive them
out of the medical field.
She inquired, "Does this bet apply to end-of-semester coursework or end-of-year exams?"
Thinking that Sandra was afraid of the bet, Teacher Evelyn responded, "Don't worry. You must excel in both coursework and end-of-semester
exams. Our bet will stand."
Sandra smiled confidently and said, "Don't worry, I will not disappoint you. Meanwhile, you better start looking for another job because you
no longer have a place in the medical world." She then turned to the principal and added, "Now that everything is settled, let's not take up any
more of your time. My family and I will be leaving to see my new class."
Teacher Abby, already feeling breathless from being in the same room as these individuals, couldn't believe she had to accompany them to
Class F. She regretted coming to the principal's office at the wrong time, but she had no choice but to face the consequences.
She said, "Let's go. There are many students waiting to meet the principal." Forgetting that she would be in contact with them for as long as
Sandra remained a student at City A University, she just wanted to show them the class and leave as quickly as possible.
As they reached the door, Teacher Evelyn, finally regaining her composure, questioned, "Wait, what did you mean by saying I no longer have
a place in the medical world? Who are you to say such a thing to me?" Her heart told her that this foolish girl had struck a nerve.
Sandra looked at her in disbelief, thinking, "How can someone like this exist in a university, let alone as a lecturer?" However, time was
limited, so she simply replied, "Let's wait and see the outcome of the bet. Then we can discuss whether or not I have the power to drive you NôvelDrama.Org © content.
out of the medical world."
As Sandra and her family made their way to Class F, they unexpectedly ran into Stacey and her family. Stacey, filled with anger because
Sandra was stealing her spotlight, couldn't bear the fact that for the first time since she joined the university, all the attention was on Sandra.
She had spent a significant amount of money on designer clothes, but now it seemed futile.
Fueled by jealousy, Stacey couldn't control her emotions and exclaimed loudly, "Well, well, well, look who we have here! It's my dear cousin,
her husband, and parents. I wonder what brings you to this university. Isn't the money from the Smith family enough for you?"
Richard and his wife exchanged glances with Andrew and Matilda, Sandra's parents, and responded, "Brother, sister-in-law, how have you
been? We heard that you are no longer employed because no company wants to hire you."
Sandra and her family simply looked at them, refusing to engage in conversation or answer their questions. They walked past them as if they
didn't know them at all.
Richard and his family felt incredibly embarrassed, unable to believe that Andrew and his family would treat them as if they were invisible,
especially in front of so many people. They wanted to shout at them, but Stacey intervened, realizing that if they continued, she would lose all
credibility and wouldn't be able to boast about her supposedly perfect life in front of other students.
She said, "Mom, Dad, this isn't the right place or time to discuss it. Let's wait until we get home."
Although angry about losing face in front of the entire school, Stacey knew that it wasn't the appropriate time or place for a confrontation.
Sandra's classroom teacher led her to her dormitory since it was the first day of school and the classroom was empty as students were busy
unpacking their belongings. They arrived at Sandra's dormitory room, only to find Levy's parents already present. This surprised both Sandra
and Levy, as they hadn't expected to be in the same dormitory as Levy's sister. Deborah, Levy's sister, shouted with excitement, "Sister-in-law,
don't tell me you'll be staying in the same room as me! Oh my God, this is great! This is great! At least we'll get to know each other better and
become friends."
Deborah was thrilled as if Sandra had already confirmed that they would be roommates.
Sandra's parents looked at each other, then at Sandra, with puzzled expressions, silently asking, "Who is she, and why is she calling you sister-
in-law?" Sensing their confusion, Sandra introduced everyone, saying, "Mom, Dad, this is Mr. and Mrs. Anthony, Levy Anthony's parents,
and this is his sister, Deborah Anthony. She will also be studying here."
Upon hearing this, Sandra's parents widened their eyes in disbelief. They couldn't believe that they were standing in front of Levy Anthony's
parents. They had heard about Mathias Anthony, the former head of the Anthony family, who had withdrawn from public life since passing
the position to his son. They hadn't expected to encounter them so soon. Greeting them, Andrew and Matilda said, "Hello, Mr. and Mrs.
Anthony. I'm Andrew Smith, and this is my wife, Matilda Smith. We are Sandra's parents. It's nice to meet you, although this isn't the ideal
situation. Once our daughters have settled in, let's have a proper introduction over a meal."
Levy's parents were taken aback by Andrew's casual and friendly approach. They had witnessed firsthand how Sandra had caused headaches
for the Anthony family, and they were still harboring ill feelings towards her.
