Chapter 88
Chapter 88
Chapter 88 At The Hospital Malcolm dared not say a word and grew increasingly respectful. Christopher shot him a nod. “Come on.
Give me a ride back home.”
Christopher was used to these after spending a few years in the military. Those local organizations at
the border were worse than Eddie, but he still managed to wipe them out.
Right now, Christopher wanted nothing more than to head back home. He hadn’t completed the
mission that Julianna had tasked him with.
Malcolm drove Christopher back to Nirvana Residence. Knowing that Malcolm had other businesses to
attend to, Christopher said, “You may leave now. I won’t ask about the things you did in the past. As
long as you don’t break the law from now on, I won’t take any action against you.”
“Yes, Mr. Yaeger,” Malcolm replied politely.
Christopher gave a curt nod. He couldn’t wipe them all out. In fact, he couldn’t be too strict with them,
as he would need their help to accomplish some things.
That was the reason he spared their lives.
Back at Nirvana Residence, Christopher gave Amanda a call. “I brought her out for a meal earlier. She
might be suffering from food poisoning. We’re at Oakland Hospital now,” Amanda reported hastily.
“Calm down. I’ll head there right now.” Christopher frowned and hailed a taxi straight away.
When Christopher arrived, Erisa was already lying in bed. Amanda was standing next to her. Erisa had
bought a few outfits, too. Of course, Christopher said nothing about that. He was the chairman, and
Amanda was Diane’s secretary.
Amanda apologized to Christopher profusely, as it was a mistake on her part that she didn’t take good
care of Erisa.
“It’s fine. This isn’t your fault, anyway. She’s too young and caught a stomach bug. You can head back
to work now. I can take care of her alone,” Christopher told Amanda. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Hearing that, Amanda nodded and left in a haste.
After all, she was the secretary of the general manager of Centurion Corporation.
Christopher glanced at Erisa after Amanda left. Erisa was sound asleep, and her face was pale.
Stretching his hand, he took Erisa’s pulse and confirmed she was all right.
In the same hospital, Fabio was howling in pain as he lay in bed. He gritted his teeth angrily at the
thought of Christopher.
As pain coursed through his body, he clenched his jaw and hissed, “This isn’t the end!”
Fabian rushed to the hospital and saw how miserable his son was. Fury tore through him at once. He
had no idea that Christopher would dare to harm his son.
“Christopher, you went too far!” Christopher had previously kicked Fabio and now beat him to a pulp.
Fabian was about to explode with rage.
“Dad, I want to take revenge. You have no idea how cruel Christopher was! I nearly died back there.
Let me make a call later.”
Fabio felt annoyed whenever he recalled how Christopher had beaten him up.
It was downright humiliation to him!
“It isn’t as simple as I thought. We need to have a thorough discussion. I suspect Christopher came
back to take over our businesses,” Fabian revealed icily.
“Seriously? He’s nothing but a commoner. How dare he harbor that thought in mind?” Fabio got so
agitated he ended up jostling his wound. The Murray family business belongs to me, Fabio Murray! I
won’t let Christopher take anything from me!
If Christopher were to learn about their conversation, he would burst into laughter. After all, their family
business wasn’t large enough to attract his attention.
“Uncle Fabian.” Fabio’s distant cousin showed up right at that moment.
“Take care of Fabio. I need to make a call outside,” Fabian ordered the person in a low voice.
“Don’t worry, Uncle Fabian. I’ll take care of Fabio,” the distant cousin assured him.
Fabian nodded and left.
Outside, he ran into Christopher. Without hesitation, he dashed over to Christopher and yelled,
“Christopher, how dare you beat my son up? I won’t let this matter slide!”
Christopher turned around and flashed an amused smile. “Why? Are you going to take action, Uncle
Fabian? Sure, I’ll play along with you.”
